they're pretty reasonable for college students
I really wasn't expecting some of those answers it gives my old ass hope
Ikr? Maybe the kids are figuring it out. Was this Alabama State University?
@@JolovesDecor Arizona State
There’s a reason it’s an “American DREAM,” and not “the American GOAL.” You can make dreams whatever you want to be. If everybody had the same exact dream, it’s not a dream, it’s something that you’ve been told to pursue
It's always exist for those who aren't lazy & willing to work hard to achieve it. There's a reason why most people from all across this planet coming to this great country
It ain't for the education. You're showing u.s system is broken.
@@TheNewblade1 It does exist if you or anyone else are honest & willing to make it work. Be grateful for everything that's been provided for us then things will be much more easier.
People came thru Ellis with nothing and no welfare existed.
A not so hard choice. Work.
@@frpgplayer Need to get back to that
@@frpgplayer Also when America was in its ascension. We are in its decline now and jobs are rapidly becoming automated. Different times. Bad policy for too long put us here.
I will say this at least students do not have the typical pink or purple hair lol it’s nice to here these students want the house and family down the road.
The housing shortage created by nimbys will make that dream harder.
@@jonatand2045 Its still a shame with housing period that it can't be afordable yet depends on which a person lives in.

The only way to make it affordable is to allow a lot of development so that supply can cover demand.
I used to. I don't anymore.
As a college student this is insightful, especially after creating a podcast episode on whether the American Dream exists or not, and if it should be pursued
-Keep making videos like these, please 👍
very " insightful ! "
for instance... Prince Harry... " A Rich Man "
marries a " Predatory Narcissist," who has a history of " using " people, and " discarding " her victims afher she is finished " using " them...
and now... Look at that Prince now !!!!!! Prince Harry kissed " The Creature From the Black Lagoon, " and the prince turned into a " T O A D ! "
The American dream is like hitting the lotto. The range of wealth and poverty will always have a canyon to separate life and death and the time spent between the two with yourself.
Tie dye purple sweatshirt guy...marry me!
4 figures a month is reasonable. 5 figures is okay by years end! Taxation kills our goals!
Pls explain how taxation is a problem and not where those taxes are going. For bonus pls explain how we deal with Dunbar's numbers without taxes?
Miss Morgonn is an American dream… ❤❤
Thank God they want kids and jobs!
they are living proof of their parents american dream work hard and send your kid to college
Follow up, 10years from graduation (after living life and still in debt from their college experience) same people. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
I believe in American capitalism and the power it brings
Me to bro
There is no such thing as American capitalism. There is only capitalism.
@@whousa642 American Capitalism is the best and the only capitalism to me and many other Americans Plus I think America made capitalism even better when it became a nation
@@BDB2004 There is no such thing as American capitalism. Capitalism is not state dependent. Are you a Lefty?
@@whousa642 I’m a conservative and I believe American capitalism is the best type of capitalism
This is pretty encouraging although I bet you would get much different answers at Columbia or Berkley.
The American Dream and Capitalism go hand in hand. When Capitalism gets toppled then the American Dream withers. More Freedom Less Control.
I will assume that you mean FREE and FAIR MARKET CAPITALISM ... and not the predatory version as characterized by Marx? If yes, then I will definitely agree.
What happen when we had less government and far more capitalism?
Still achievable, but there’s a huge government sized roadblock in the way that needs disposing of.
*_There is ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEE of an American Dream._* The ONLY WAY our American Dream can happen is IF AND WHEN We The People --- at least an active voting majority of us --- MAKE IT HAPPEN. This means, PRIMARILY, voting into office ONLY those who adhere to their SACRED OATH, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, that We The People actually do our Patriotic DUTY. *_Regarding such DUTY, see such stated clearly in our Declaration of Independence._*
You don't have to make 6 figured to have an American dream. Ffs that girl is all about money
If it didn't, Mexico would worry about the border and the US would be helping people leave.
Not if you're a citizen.
The concept of the American dream, a cornerstone of our nation's ethos, remains unwavering despite the test of time. While some argue that its appearance and essence have evolved, their perspectives often resonate with beliefs and hopes held since the very foundation of the United States.
The American dream exists but you have to be asleep to see it.
Now this is journalism ******
The American Dream to me was that if you worked hard and did the right things, you would at least have a comfortable middle-class life. Maybe it was true in the '60s, but it's not true anymore.
Howdy , I lived off broadway an mill many moons ago
Notice how every college student had to stop and think about the Twitter opinions they read in the past few years
Or there trying to figure out how to answer this unsubstantiatable question. It didn't even point towards one end. Some of them answered an economic question and the others a social.
God bless the land of freedom and opportunities !
Depressing.
Only one of them seemed to understand & (crudely) articulate the American Dream: "small government & to be left alone".
The rest were just wishing for their chosen success story. Some at least understood hard work was necessary. They hoped to live the dream but had no ability to express it in correct abstract terms. That shows just how thoroughly US education is failing Americans.
