The USA is not a single country. It is a Republic with a diaspora that goes over the head of many. Montana is not California is not Oklahoma is not New York is not Alaska. We are different people with different ethnicities, cultures, strengths and problems spread over a large area. What is a problem one place in not a problem in many other places.

Another debate that will never be won by either side. I am not a "put a gun in the hands of every American!" kind of gal, but I'm pretty sure banning guns isn't going to solve anything. I do not know what percentage of gun deaths are criminal vs accidental, but some criminals aren't getting their guns legally anyway. And guns DO kill people when someone pulls the trigger. Also canada has less population then california. So per capita im not sure how much better we are anymore. Also there are a ton of stabbings and people beaten to death up here.

actually statistics have shown that gun violence has greatly declined since the mid 90's. its still causes over 10,000 deaths a year in the US so it is very much a problem.
