- My friend Steve asked me to make a "mellotron-style" choir sample out of my own voice. Download it here: www.decentsamples.com/product...
My patreon is here: / dhilowitz
Another, more substantial video is coming soon where I talk about how I did the modwheel crossfade in this instrument.

Super creative and sounds great! Your musical abilities and computer skills are off the charts! Keep it coming!!
Downloaded, opened in SO4 Pro... sounds amazing! Wow. Can't thank you enough. Cheers.
WOW! The final result is freaking good! Thanks for the sharing! Really, a lot!
This sounds AWESOME!!!! Thanks a lot David.
I love your tutorials David, i hope learn a lot from you.
Nice job David ! and thanks for sharing...
Oh my gosh man! I Love It!!! Almost something Devin Townsend would use!
Very cool, David! It sounds fantastic!
I totally loved it 🔥🔥
So great. Love it.
This is very cool, good job and thanks!
Yeahhh, good job !!! Thanck's for the instrument !!
gives me some ideas. Great video as always.
THANKS DAVE!
You can use Melodyne to correct "scooping up" at the beginning of sung phrases. You have inspired André van Haren and myself to create a male choir with phonemes and velocity levels not present in many popular virtual choirs. Thanks for showing us the way!
I really really enjoy this! Many thanks for work and video. Stay safe
sounds really great!
dave its beautiful!
great work
There is a free section on the VI-Control forum where you can share your creations. And those guys usually are of a higher standard (mind wise). You deserve so many more subs and views. Hugs.
Super cool!
This is great !
Funny your videos are unexpectedly addictive... and they make me not want to buy any more samples but instead sample the hell out of everything... thanks and keep it up... feed my addiction haha
wow, very nice indeed !
Great, great, job !!! Did not try it but i wil soon !! Amazing..
Really cool
Very ingenious..
Just subscribed, David. I've become familiar with you through PianoBook and Christian Henson and very much enjoy your contributions to sampling and what you've done with Decent Sampler. Cheers! BTW, love this choir library. It kinda reminds me of 10CCs I'm Not In Love!
increíble amigo, me suscribo!
Thanks alot man.. This is much appreciated. .
This is so cool bro...
Min 3... sounds very good so far (so far in the video, and I am crossing my fingers that is the actual product you are sharing), ok, I keep on watching video now
Cool!
Great!!! Thanks a lot
really nice
Thank you! Cheers!
3:26 The Yamaha VSS series allows you to layer/overdub samples, albeit the single note you’re limited to. But I made my own choir doing that.
Angel voice man!
Smashing, mate, abolutely fantastic effort! How about applying some "wear-and-tear", to give it an even more mellotron-y sound?? :)
nice bro.
1:17 wowww !! soooo much clips.
I am dizzy now and I haven't had 1 drop of alcohol :-)
3:07 > yeah coool ! This has an eighties vibe to me [ fairlight-timezzz or the roland voice-presets ]
Thumbs up from me :-)
Dope
Omg 🔥❤️
Wow! Not bad! :O
I don't know if it will shed any light, but I posted this video (link of course only) to the vi-control forum as I mentioned you. Cheers.
Nice.
really great library, very clean and ambient. You could redo the vocals for Pet Sounds with these.
Inspired me to do more sampling.
Sounds great! This reminds me of the soundtrack from SWISS ARMY MAN, which I'm pretty sure is Paul Dano's voice similarly layered. May be wrong... either way... Super excited to tinker with this. Many thanks.
Nooooo. You changed the skin! Give us that skin too? :P Becuase of its color scheme goes along so well with my cello and violin ;) (Final skin is good, don't get me wrong, just the shirt's blue gives a continuation design).
Got a chance to use this on a project, a song to commemorate the birth of our newest granddaughter to add the low notes to my own solo choir in the bridge section. Thank you.
Well, I intend to make my version of the opening theme of the Skyrim game, I'm looking for a deeper male voice sample, I will try to go after the sound effects of the game to mix them in my project. I will download this sample you made, I believe it will come close to the effect I seek!
Love it. Who’d have thought it possible?😊
haha...that's awesome!
perfect Brazil
Those timelapses 😂😂♥
The music at the end is so tasty. Nom!
*_One man army, they said. This is the best vocals for Lo-fi..._*
nice..i would like to attempt similar nut pretty sure i will need reatune
Wow
This reminds me a lot of Vocaloids. This is kinda how they sing
Hello!
Great Work!
Could you please share if possible how to change an articulation within an instrument?
For example Staccato and Legato (so a Semibreve like in Albion?)
Thank you!
Your work here is inspiring. You give me hope I can use my voice in a similar way. You use Reaper very very well. I would have to work on that and get a decent microphone setup too. I want my daughter to see this and learn with me. We need help.
Song sounds pretty sweet and tender, the arpegios give it depth, drums I am not so convinced, specially the "click" sound, I feel a metronome is on instead of music, lol. Cheers mate. Thanks so much for sharing. (In the video sounds very very good).
Yeah, I had the same thought: the bleeps in my drum loop do sound a lot like a metronome. :)
It reminds me a bunch of the chorus used in score for Akira. DAAAAAH! DAAH DAAAAAAAHHHHH!
What would make this sound even more like Mellotron is to run it through the dictaphone
Excelente! Parabéns e muito obrigado!
Your are 😎

Not bad. man Not bad
hearing just the samples was like "eh..hehe...nope" and then, as soon as you played the chord I went to "no fucking way, woh"
road movie cue scoring patch??
Sounds a lot like odesza's Rely
How come the download isn't available anymore?
Enya
Sounds like Minecraft soundtrack Vol. 3 :D
great! Sooo, can I use it in my song? I know it says free but just wanted to double-check
Sebastian Lis Music yes, absolutely!
@@DavidHilowitzMusic Ok, it says free but it want to charge my PayPal with 30 USD. can you explain that?
Sebastian Lis Music you shouldn’t need to use paypal at all. there should be a download button right above the paypal button.
@@SebastianLis I actually just got rid of the Paypal button to avoid confusion.
I can't find this for download! I can't access your site
Hmm. Try again? It goes down for a minute or so every Sunday night to backup the database.
Nice try dude.Thumbs up!!!
makes me think of the swiss army man soundtrack
My "LIKE" is for REAPER....lol
is it royalty free
yes!
If you took a girl (any girl would suffice :P) to do the same, and added it as a bundle, you'd have the best free choir in the whole planet (all the good choir libraries even if small /but so much bigger than this of course/ are paid for and cost a fortune). Ok, now as I am writing this down, since I still yet to download it, I believe your library is not looped so if I wanted a pad playing a chord for 2 or more measures (slow song) your voice would die on me, right? ;( sad face, lol.
Is your voice royalty-free
Your attack is a bit too short.
After hearing each "aaaa" I keep thinking Fat Bottomed Girls is starting to play. 😄
the more tracks you do, the more processed it sounds. thats the flaw in every single person that tries this.
