Saw the film three times in nine days. It gets better and better each time and I disagree that the first hour needed to see more drama in Divine G’s life. I felt the structure of the script was impeccable. The second time I saw it it was a last minute choice to kill time. The third time I saw it was because I wanted to be in a theater with a big audience. After the movie ended in that third time the audience applauded. Let me add that when seeing it the third time I knew the film had the audience’s attention and the characters had the audience’s sympathies when I could hear the murmurs of indignation when Divine G found his belongings tossed on the floor when his cell had just been given a surprise inspection.
