These people deserve way more recognition, these people are building, renovating and restoring things to only get a small ammount of views, while some moron dances infront of a screen getting millions of views, anyway good work mate,
It’s coming man, the big holdup is trying to get this marina owner to pull my boat out of the water with broken down equipment and he has health issues to boot. Hang in there.
I’m right in the middle of a deal where I can get the boat moved to a different spot so I can get some work done. As you may have guessed, it is still on the trailer and this marina is steadily falling apart. Big things are about to happen to this channel, standby and thanks for asking.
@@FatGuyinaLittleBoat hi that was great news to hear. I was afraid the project was canceled. Thank you that you are not giving up on the boat. I like the modell on that boat and I'm eager to see the end result :) sorry to hear about the marina that breaks apart. And thank you again for your videos, we like them. Greetings from Finland.
Why not spray new gel? gel coats cheap...drop some tint in...viola...custom color.. of course you will be sanding for the next millenia but it looks nice :D
Didn't use a pressure washer same as on this one got good results pressure washer will damage gel coats it's 1000psi of pressure exiting a hole the size of a pea or smaller. El coat is plastic coating what happens when you put high.pressure pin point on plastic it cracks it dulls it damages it
Yes, damage is possible especially with an extremely powerful pressure washer. This one is very mild and the entire hull and topside of the boat is being painted.
I work on boats that is my living it took me along time to find the right way of doing things I had help from a few old school guys in learning the right ways boatyard people and engineers. First you.wash it with soap if it is real dirty you add a little compound to soap and some comet and get down on it with a scrub brush. After it's scrubbed you go buy some Terry clothe rags ie buy by the box it's cheaper I'm the long run. Buy a gallon cause it's also cheaper in tge long run of maguires cleaning wax, there is another product which is by far more expensive but will be easier with variable buffer but not as good by hand maguire cleaning wax works as good but a bit more effort not much though by hand and or machine. Then you go buy carnuba wax old school I have learned maguire hybrid liquid wax the green neon stuff works great and just like carnuba it seals it. And the whole key is in the sealer it pops After appying

On the east coast that would be cut up, without a thought. Engine and trans yanked out. Maybe worth more in your area, I watched a few vids. great channel! good luck with the rehab!
I just got back to your channel and I'm going to binge on your channel. Thanks for sharing your definition of a boat.

Hey thanks, that means a lot. Good on you.
are there any other vids ? would love to see the finished boat.
More are coming. In a holding pattern for the moment waiting to get the boat pulled out.
Great show
Thanks man.
We need more

How is the projekt going ? :)

Kiitos!
Whats the length of this boat?
40 feet overall. 36 foot hull.
I’ve always seen theee videos but never a final
Project is still in motion, just added another two weeks ago.
Most recent:FINALLY, back to work on the big BOAT!!!
This Old Boat. You could be on PBS
🤣🤣🤣
How are the stringers?
Solid.

I am convinced that epoxy paint is the way to go here but that debate can go either way.
I heard the boats finally coming out of the water so you can get it finished. About time that marina owner got off his can.
Finally. Holding up the whole channel!

And if it is LPU paint not a gel coat it's even easier but only real quality old school yachts use it like HATTERAS
I will be using two part poly paint with an epoxy barrier coat primer. Should work out nicely.
For a moment I thought he said 20 grand ?!?!!?
No way did he say 20 grand.
@@FatGuyinaLittleBoat That's a relief PHEW !!! Thankfully it'll only take $100 to burn it !!!
@@Chewligan1 much less than that. You’d be shocked to see what I can do with five dollars worth of gas but… there’s plenty already on the boat.
well buy another boat without engines, and put the new motors in the other boat :) thats too much to fix on that one :D
But fixing it will give me a newly refit boat for much less money.
@@FatGuyinaLittleBoat well i am impressed that you making it. and taking my hat off for you :) you doing a great job
Thank you!
💯
💪
lets gooo check out mine!
Happening now....
You paid 20k USD for this....
Motors worth that alone.
@@FatGuyinaLittleBoat They have no idea whatsoever.
@@FatGuyinaLittleBoat You can find 454's pretty cheap my man. They're the easiest big blocks to find. (Depending on where you live, of course...)
Yes they aren’t bad. It’s all the other stuff that makes the motors cost. Thanks.
I hope you really didn't pay 20k for that. good luck!
The motors alone were worth that much.

Hey, thanks man. When I’m done it will be a great boat. It’s worth it to me I guess, a labor of love.
Fat Guy in a Little Boat “worth it to me” that’s all that matters mate. It’ll be grand when you’re done!
