I have my partner who is not anyone's fool and tells me straight he does not agree with the way the channel and its journalists dig up... Abusing Arnab and co is our way of coping up. The problem is people who watch Arnab and think this is news or journalism. And these people are lakhs in number. Until they understand, dogs like Arnab will keep on rising.
I personally feel that journalists should not present their personal opinions. They have the right to shape an opinion but not put it out as it can unintentionally manipulate people, considering the fact that people blindly believe news channels.Journalism should be about neutrality and hard facts. On the basis of such reports, people can frame whichever kind of opinion they want to. Being pro people is exactly that.
I think it is a good thing that people are leaving the toxic workplace of Republic, irrespective of their reason. From a higher point of view it's a good thing. I don't want to call any of them whistle-blower s yet but I won't question their conscience either. At ground level these are still reporters who do not enjoy support from powerful people like Arnab does. So, can they do journalism as per the standard definition of journalism? If yes, they are doing fine.

They have the right to shape an opinion but not put it out as it can unintentionally manipulate people, considering the fact that people blindly believe news channels.Journalism should be about neutrality and hard facts. On the basis of such reports, people can frame whichever kind of opinion they want to. Being pro people is exactly that.

Religious polarisation will never happen here because people here have better IQ. We treat every other state with respect and love and equality without losing out on our dignity, Tamil culture.
