Honestly I prefer the Sega Genesis sound chip over the SNES sound chip.

In a way, the Sega Genesis sound chip could sample actual sounds, just does it less than the Super Nintendo.
Yes, it has PCM playback, but it's all bit banged basically instead of having a proper wavetable like the SNES has.
I love the fact you used the SN76489 Square Waves to reproduce the vocals!
I've done that a few time. I really like the square wave haha.

Umm, the 2612 has 6 channels, the other 4 in the Genesis are TI's SN76489

Is this bypassing the Mega Drive’s internal DAC, and is it keeping to just the 6 YM2612 channels and the 4 SN76489 channels at once? It sounds fantastic, with the instruments feeling richer amd more delineated than I’ve heard come through the onboard DAC output of the standard Mega Drive.
This is a GenMDM connected to a Sega Mega Drive, it gives me complete access to the YM2612 and SN76489 chips.
everything you hear on my channel is not made to be played in the background of a game. They are not created for that purpose I'm basically using the Mega Drive as a instrument and just having fun with it.

Through a Midi Synth. The Mega Drive is connected to that and the synth is connected to a computer.
