Only thing I regretted not doing was MEAL PLANNING! Definitely get some frozen crock pot meals or oven meals ready for that first few weeks! Something you don’t really think about but it’s huge! All the positivity and love to you both! 🤍

You can plan and plan and do so many things to prepare you for this new journey, but nothing will prepare you for the moment that sweet baby comes into the world. You two are a great team and that is what parenting is about, from the beginning its you guys together. Just being in the moment and there for each other is key.. I’m pumped for you guys!

I think that your go with the flow and relaxed attitude is actually great for having a baby. You can plan until you're blue in the face but things may go completely different than you expect, which can be more stressful if you have rigid plans and expectations.

Hey guys, been following along since the Texas house! I'm a labor & delivery nurse and just wanted to say that you guys will be such an amazing team during your labor experience, I know it. Everything that you're feeling is completely normal, especially since this is your first baby. It's amazing that you have your doula to support you. Life as a parent includes chaos, routines, rolling with the punches and just doing what you’ve gotta do. So these feelings are so normal. It’s a lot but it’s really the best thing you’ll EVER do! & the fact that you guys have a great support system is such an amazing blessing! You guys got this!

Hunter is so right! Make sure he knows what your wishes are for your birth! In the throws of labor pains whenever the nurses would ask me what I wanted, or offered me something, all I could say was “I don’t know” through the pain 😂 my husband was pretty much the sole communicator of our birth 🤣 you guys got this!!! 🥰

100% in the labor and delivery convo. My husband and I knew I wanted to do things naturally with no induction or epidural. In the moment with my first I felt overwhelmed and almost pressured into letting them break my water… my husband stood our ground and made sure we stuck with what he knew I wanted ❤ I was so grateful for him in those moments! Love you guys! Can’t wait to watch the rest of your journey!!
Mom of two grown kids, I’ll tell u that it’s so overwhelming to talk through the birth plan and it can feel so scary but it isn’t. Keep ur mind focused on meeting ur sweet little man and let everything else fall away. The moment u see him and hear him cry you will forget literally everything else and you’ll wonder y u ever thought about it so much. You guys are going to be amazing!! I’m so excited for u to be momma and daddy. This baby boy is blessed with the best!!! 💙

❤ you got this. The way you support each other is all you need. Keep that good sense of humor and accept help when it is offered. My husband & I in our 60’s and our best memories are back when we had so much on our plate. We laughed and supported each other through it all and it makes for an unbreakable bond. No idea on baby name? Moses? 😊
Gosh I experienced moving during the later part of my pregnancy and it can be stressful and overwhelming to feel helpless and like too tired to get things done or even nest, so you picking up the house for Julia is very sweet of Hunter! Congrats you guys🎉🎉🎉 this journey will be so rewarding, baby H is going to have awesome parents🫶🏽

Hunter, what an awesome husband you are! Julia has been a trooper with everything that comes with pregnancies but having a supportive husband is everything. I have a son-in-law that has the mentality that having a child is an inconvenience and thinks my daughter asking for assistance in the evening is asking too much of him since he’s working and she’s staying home with baby right now. It has been so difficult to bite my tongue.
I think if I could offer one suggestion it would be to spend as much time planning for the birth to plan for the 4th semester. How will you handle the recovery? How can you arrange for help (meals, cleaning, laundry, work schedules, etc.) I was so excited for my bundle of joy to arrive that I completely forgot what happens when the baby is here… All the best and thank you for allowing us to be a part of this amazing journey!

Love you two and your relationship, focus on your baby and getting ready for him, your family will certainly understand if the guest room is not completely decorated, the priority is you and the process, sometimes too much family post birth can be overwhelming, there is time for everyone to see this little buddy, your time with him is the most important, big hugs Haven family.

You both make such a great team and so great that you all have a birth plan and all your ducks in a row. Everyone is different so every pregnancy and delivery is different. Don’t be surprised if all your plans go out the window lol. I’ve had 3 sons and with each we had a plan A, B &C none of which went according to plan. You two will be just fine when Baby H arrives and it’ll definitely be on the job training ( if ya will) congrats again guys !! Praying for a healthy labor and delivery both for mom and Baby H! God bless.
Doulas are such a blessing - not only will she guide you through your labor & delivery, but she'll help Hunter as well. Birth has a way of making you feel out of control, but when you understand the different phases of labor, you'll feel so much more reassured as things progress. A birth plan, among other things, can also include something as simple as "I'd like to wear my own gown" or "I want to have this type of background music in my room", or "I'd like to have things as quiet as possible". It can also be "I want to be able to have a portable fetal monitor, and be able to walk around my room, and not have to stay in bed, etc.". Hunter is right about getting the business things settled as much as possible before your actual due date/time draws near, that will help him focus and relax. Remember a 'due date' really is an approximate time - don't let anyone make you feel pressured about it - like, "you're late, etc". Your body knows what to do, and yes, first time moms can go a bit longer with their pregnancies. Prayers for you and Hunter and the new little guy that will soon become part of your family!

Hi guys! Fellow frog here! ♥️ so proud of y’all for hiring a doula. She will be such a key to helping you feel equipped. I’ve had two natural births, one 15 hour labor and one closer to 6/7 hours. I was ten days late with Olive and 6 days late with Wren. If you don’t plan to induce you’ll on average will be later! Julia, since you’ve taken such wonderful care of you and baby you’ll do wonderful. Your body is going to know exactly what to do!! And having a supportive husband there is going to be so good for you! Prayers for a healthy mama and baby! Also- research research research any shots you give baby. You can always push those to later on when you’re well versed on the possible reactions. 💜
I second this. research research research. i was so uniformed as a first time parent, i wish i could have done so many things different.
My babies are now 15 and 13, and those days are still the best days of my life! The only thing I wish we would have done different is not having so many people visit those first few days. You are going to be amazing parents!

Why was I so emo when Hunter was talking about what a badass Juj is..I have been shocked at how hard she's been going.. I'm not preggers but I'm like dayum if she is getting up working out then my lazy self can too. So yes, Mama Juj you got this and you're right having a partner who is supportive and also willing to step up is everything...you both have been so loving in these vids working through well life...Love to see it. Full plate, yes….I think it’s just the reality of huge shift coming (which you guys are ready for). It’s just all the loose ends, details, etc. And you guys are so busy. But it’s good. All positive things. Everything is going to fall into place. It’s all going to be natural. You all got too many good women in your families to count on with questions or concerns & help loving your lil mint julep on the way. 🍃 It’s the feeling of it’s all about to happen. I think all that you are feeling is natural. Good, bad, anxiety, excited etc.
He will be here & you won’t remember what life was like before him. 😍

So excited for y'all!! I would say the sleep deprivation with a newborn hit me harder than anything I've ever experienced. If it gets that way for you, I would highly suggest getting a night nurse for a few nights a week. It is a splurge, but makes all the difference in the world with your over all well being. ❤

Hunter's a gem. Can I say that? It's normal for you both to feel nervous at this stage. The date was always far away and now its coming fast. Information is important but putting into practice is different. You will both be great with the birth and your parents coming to help is amazing. As for no sleep you never know. My son slept thru the night almost right away. The start of Kindergarten was a whole different story!!! As I watch you guys talk I'm staring at the kitchen windows wondering if your moved black pots would fit up there. Take care.

team juj and hunter ❤️🙌 you got this! you guys did the right thing getting a doula. i am the same size as juj 5’2” and i was in labor for 33 hours that required an emergency c section because i wasn’t progressing. my due date was august 12 and my son came two days early. i was 39 weeks and 5 days. i wanted a natural birth so bad but the labor didn’t move quick enough. i wish i had a doula at the time because i fought for a natural birth through the whole labor enduring period.
Omg I’m so excited to hear you hired a doula! I went with midwives/birth center route my 2nd birth and it’s a whoooole different experience from the OB/hospital experience from beginning to end. It sounds like having a doula is very fitting to who y’all are 😊
