I feel like this series is the doom version of watching football, and I love it.
Battle of the thick boys! Those last two rounds were insane and I loved it.
surprisingly enough, the Cyberdemon has a pretty slim hitbox for a boss enemy, even the mancubi are thiccer, but i get what you mean ;^)
@@ademkapovskic8106
Ye, Cybie is hench, not thicc.
5:52 - epic moment
Definitely! Comes to show that both Cyberdemons were being pounded equally.
It looks like the cyberdemon stalk intimidation tactic they're programmed with is a major defect in their offensive strategy against an enemy programmed to unload at first sight. Mancubi have a first strike advantage every time.
I keep coming back for these videos. Seeing these videos make me pretty sure of something, using the doom monsters you could make an excellent real time strategy game.
Yeah, it reminds me a lot of Dungeon Keeper at times.
Called it almost every time! Love watching these battles.
And seeing cyberdemons get blown away is particularly satisfying!
Is it me or is the friendly fire from moncubus hitting each other from back assidting the Cyber demons in killing
Time after time, smaller creatures sacrifice their numbers advantage by not looking for a clean shot while attacking. It really reminds me of why Half-Life's AI was so revolutionary when it came out.
Projectile based attackers like mancubi, hell knights, revenants and arachnotrons have their effectiveness deeply affected by their placement in the map. That's why I think they should always be split in two groups facing the more powerful adversaries.
That's why most slaughter maps suck (sorry, I know some people like them, I don't... at all). Infighting is fine as long as it's used in a strategical way, but when it happens for 90% of the enemies in the whole map because there are other monsters obstructing their view to the player it becomes just a joke.
Impressive. Mancubus are far more dangerous in these in monsters fights than they are in real game...
In the game, they're not roaming in packs like this. Even in ultra-violence mode they're formidable against Cyberdemons.
Mancubi are VERY powerful, but unlike Revenants, Archies, Chaingunners, Spiderdemons and other demons that counteract the player's mobility, they're not anti-Doomguy specialists.
Not roaming in packs and monsters don’t attempt to dodge projectiles like the player
@@Akira625 there are a few maps in which there are many MCs stacked (like Dead Simple). Point is, they are slow and they aren't going to chase the player, while their attack is easily dodged. In a room, a pack of Revenants (let alone Archviles...) is way more dangerous for the player. Even Spiders are more dangerous because their attack is harder to dodge in open field.
Mancubus ability is suppression fire. They force the player to stay in cover or kill them first. They aren't well utilized in the released doom episodes

*5 v 50 starts*
*Most of the Mancubi turn around and walk the other way*
Cybedemon: "They're, very, slowly, getting... away!"
probably just tired of beating the Cyber. they're probably like "that's it. i'm going home. we ALL know how this is gonna end....again."
yours are the best ones in this genre. mostly very well balanced battles, actually edited, and no godawful custom monsters (i don't mean custom monsters are bad, just that some people use awful ones in these battles)
Granted, the one-two punch at 5:52 was epic but the Nightmare! 10 vs. 100 matchup perfectly illustrates the "falling like flies" quip from the Doom II manual
I will never get tired of these.
The Mancubi double attack really comes into play the more Cyberdemons there are. They typically shot to hit with one arm, then the other, then put their target in the centre. If you stood still against their attack you'd only get hit by the first two, while the third attack would shoot harmlessly to ether side of you (assuming you weren't point blank). But with many targets around, the "missing" fireball is that much more likely to hit another target.
Me at 5:10 AM: I definitely need to know who would win, 1 Cyberdemon or 10 Mancubi!

The true Doom II experience :D
Tower of Babel map in Doom PSX port has some Mancubi. I was always making them fight with Cyberdemon. It was fun.
i think this battle would have been different if all the cyber demons were in small cages. so they can't walk in front of each other to block projectiles. formation is everything
The crossfire surround makes all the difference
This should be a series on netflix
It makes a huge difference when the mancubi randomly happen to stay "in formation" and can freely shoot at the cyberdemons, instead of bunching up and blocking each other. There are diminishing returns in big quantities if they're not all properly positioned.
Always love my daily dose of pointless violence. Thank you.
I wonder in that last fight if the Mancubi were on the inside and the Cyberdemons were on the outside if it would of changed things. Less crossfire hitting all the cyberdemons?
Came here to say this, switching the grouping would be a fun experiment!
I'm attempting to get a schythe 2 map 25 clear... this video is basically the begining of that map
the nikocado army
vs. Chad Soldiers
The 2v25 UV ending was really close
Mancubis held up better than I expected
Man, the fact that it takes just over 3 rockets to kill a Mancubi really screws over the CD, he has to target the same one and fire another 3 shot salvo which takes up huge amount of valuable time instead of targeting others
Well, sometimes. Most mancubi do die in 3 rockets.
The rockets do splash damage though. Firing into a crowd of mancubi means he won't really "miss" whereas a mancubi's effective range kinda sucks.
@@combusean For sure, I agree. But I was chilling watching the video and you would see on the Nightmare mode battles, three rocket burst fired at a Mancubi, then CD fires another full three, which ate up alot of time that he was taking damage and not shooting at another target. 2/3 of those rockets just flew into the wall
Suggestions for next fights:
Arachnotrons vs Barons of Hell
Revenants vs Cacodemons
Hell Knights vs Chaingunners
Arch-Viles vs Pinkies
Imps vs Wolfenstein SS
macubi vs zombieman, the poor mancubi wants to gibs some squishy zombies too
More proof that Volume of Fire wins almost every fight
Wow, I thought the Mancubi were going to be out of their weight class! So to speak.
They're definitely at their strongest when they can projectile spam against other hoards, due to their firing pattern; whereas the Cyberdemon is at its strongest against hoards that bunch up together, making them susceptible to the splash damage of rockets.
Around 5:50 was cool two cyber dye at some time
mancubus and imp on nightmare are nightmare
2 vs 25 on Ultra Violence had a very surprising ending (5:50)
Not the sliding corpses lol 1:34
decino really needs to come through with a video on doom's corpse physics.
@@combusean I think he already did, but I don't remember which video. I think that it has something to do with which version of the game you play
I love saturday of Cyberdemon's videos 👌
But I think 10 vs 1 is a bit unbalanced for the Cyber 🤔
Maybe 6 or 7 Mancubi vs 1 Cyberdemon would be more even, IMHO.
I think the first battle was a fluke win for the mancubi, they were very lucky there, and it showed well later on.
The nightmare stats really seem to favour the Mancubi?
It's interesting to see that 10 barons weren't able to beat 1 cyber on UV but 10 Mancubi were able to. Obviously due to the Manc's much higher damage output. And yet we know that 10 barons would beat 10 Mancubi.
What about doom64 monsters infighting though?
Big Bois vs. Flamethrowers
I knew the Mancubus wouldn’t fair that well against the Cyberdemon as they did against the Spidermastermind but they still did good despite the tough beating they took from Cyberdemon Rockets
The CD walking around pisses me off. Stay in place, shoot rockets, win!
Does anyone else think the Mancubi both act and attack the same as those big frog guys from Serious Sam 2?
We need imps vs mancubus now
He already did a few days ago.
Pity monsters don't have health bars over their heads.
And how do you manage to do such fights?
Fat vs Muscles 😁
They are dangerous.

i think maybe it's time you start using midi pack music/wad soundtracks, this is basically just Go 2 It without the Plutonia regulars (Chaingunners, Revenants, Archviles)
ADERBAL!!!!
Mancubus > Baron of Hell
Cds need to shoot more and walk less, dumb cds.
