Is this movie based on that Letornau woman? I love both of these actresses but why make a movie about that groomer and abuser bc that was NOT a relationship, that was disgusting what she did.
I asked a friend who saw it today if it showed any signs of the young man who is still in the relationship with this woman (in the movie) being troubled by it. Or if it showed her as being mentally unstable in any way. My friend said not really. I find that disturbing. Because even if the woman did have to do time for the crime it seems like the message is that a young man can be molested but everything can work out hunky dory in the end. And that is a very troubling message. Boys are being victimized more and more and sadly it's often dismissed because "boys will be boys" and they should be able to handle such a thing.
