    Amazon is a piece of shit company. Not only do they treat their Flex drivers badly, they treat their warehouse workers badly too. I once work for them in one of their fulfillment center near my home town here and after taking one day off due to sickness. They started treating me with disrespectful manner even threatening me with termination if I don't get good rates on my package scans. This went on for months and management laugh it off as if not care. Honest to say I have no choice but to leave that awful place and want nothing to do with Amazon ever again.

    I was deactivated for almost the same thing. my customer satisfaction was 100% and i even went out of my way to take back 4 leftover packages that weren't on my app itinerary or paper itinerary at the warehouse. When I took them back, the warehouse worker said someone messed up and i could have kept the packages and nobody would have even known. I was deactivated a week later. Shows what Amazon thinks of their honest drivers.

      Oh yeah...Amazon just cares about numbers...I worked in the warehouse...I was a model employee, everyone liked me, I trained a lot of people, many of whom went on to be promoted...and I got fired because I had some physical limitations that hindered me from performing at "top capacity", so they let me go...not caring that I knew a lot about the business and was an asset to the team...they just saw their unrealistic expectations not being met...and I told several managers about what was going on, but they didn't really care...

    Flex was quite good before Christmas. They changed how to get blocks and hire to many people. I use to get 1-2 blocks everyday before xmas but now no blocks unless I keep tapping on my phone... there are shifts at night but you get paid less and longer routes

    Yo paul man, that sucks dude. I've been watching your videos since I started thinking about amazon flex in my state and just seeing how people do the job, let alone experience. Definitely makes me wanna try this job less if I can easily get into rush hour traffic and be late. Then get fired for the unfair reason of not being on time and excuse. But hey man, seems like u got back ups so it's all good man, keep your head up. It's there lost. Also keep up the videos man!

    My account was deactivated for other reason. Despite returning undelivered packages back to the warehouse, I still received email notices in the next morning that i didn't return. One day amazon just emailed saying that they terminating me due to multiple occasions that i didn't return undelivered packages. This is horrible because there is no transparency in their system. Once an Amazon driver return the package in the warehouse, Its no longer in their control and therefore its the employees in the warehouse are now in charge. So if the employee in the warehouse don't update the status of the package the blame is on the driver. A driver's signature should be required because it would serve as a proof that the package has been returned but Amazon doesn't require a signature.

    WOW I was in Portland that snow storm week. It was crazy and you definitely cant drive let alone deliver package with all the time limit. If they gave you a mark because of this, it is not fair. Man, i hope they re-activated you back Paul. I'm doing Prime Now in So-Cal because i watched your video first and convince me that this is a good gig.
    But yea, flex support sucks. big time.

    Hi Paul, I was deactivated also because I didn't return a package the same night i couldn't deliver it to a customer. It was after midnight when i reached my home after following the directions from the app GPS to an address that would come up on my car's GPS . After driving 40 miles out of the way, I figured out that the address was for a new residential neighborhood... My scenario went just like yours, i worked a few more days then the app was shut down. I sent an email... they replied like yours. They didn't care and I wasted my time writing and sending proof of my situation..

  • @UnboxFlix
    @UnboxFlix 7 років тому

    I also live in Portland, went through that storm too. Took like 9 hours for me to get home from work that day. Thousands of cars everywhere. Funny It was actually the time I made my first Unbox Flix episode which I reviewed snow chains for shoes! I also was deactivated last night after 3 months on Amazon right after my first sale. The reason, because I don't have enough subscribers! Just the timing was interesting.

      Amazon Flex drivers: I'll show you how to get more blocks. TAPTECH, a solution to help Amazon Flex drivers auto REFRESH, ACCEPT blocks.
      www.flextaptech.com
      10% OFF Coupon Code: YT2018
      I’d like to share my Amazon Flex experience with you. I’ve being Amazon Flex driver for over 5 months now. The pay (average $25-28 hours with tips) for this kind of work is fair that I work 30-39 hours per week and make about $3500 a month. I am looking for a newer car so that I can work for UBER and LYFT as well. There are little reserved hours and it is a challenge getting blocks. I almost quit because I feel it is nonsense and wasting of time swiping phone screen to find block not even know what and when these blocks are released. I use a device called TAPTECH Auto Clicker (NOT SOFTWARE)to swipe and tap the phone screen to get blocks for me. It is working efficiently and effectively that search and accept block offers without my fingers on the phone. If you want to earn more with Amazon Flex, this tool will help you spend less time of swiping/tapping phone screen while getting more blocks to maximize your earning opportunities. How much per day would you pay to someone to swipe the phone screen day and night constantly to get blocks for you? My investment was paid off in one day. (DO NOT RISK DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT by using third party software because Amazon will detect it!!)

    These delivery jobs like this & others like this, seem to have a high turnover just like the trucking industry. It seems from what i read from some viewers that there are communication problems, app issues & not caring about their drivers.... Also if the person is not satisfied with their position & ranting about online that doesn't help the situation. Hope everyone finds the job that fits their needs & are happy & valued at their job.

      Paul Yeo
      Dude I totally feel you’re pain bro. Not to disrespect you man, but perhaps Amazon Flex drivers (not just you) need to really understand and be cognizant of the fact that choosing blocks should be done cautiously and carefully. By that I mean, if the weather looks like it might be crappy this week, then be really really careful on the blocks you pick in addition to the extra time perhaps needed due to poor traffic conditions. It’s all about logistics man and I get not everyone works in that field. You got to be absolutely sure about routes, deliveries, schedules, etc. concerning what you’re willing to do on any given day or week. If you live in sunny beautiful California, for example, well then you probably won’t have to worry too much about snow messing with your delivery routes. I’m not even talking about just Amazon Flex. I’m talking about anyone who delivers anything for any company. I totally agree that Amazon, more than likely, screwed you for a very poor reason if any at all. It is a shame. The multi billion $ company really doesn’t give a dog shit about anyone or anything but their profits. We could write a shit ton of books on how and why corporations in America don’t, but need to actually care about their employees. We all know this. But they’re in it to win it. Means money comes first. So there’s no way around that. In the meantime all we can do is stay on our game and do the best we can. When it comes to picking and accepting blocks for A Flex then you gotta scrutinize carefully what you’re doing. Not trying to rip on you bro, but I think you should have been just a little more careful ESPECIALLY in your area as you said bad weather is common there. The flat tire. Well nothing you could do about that realistically EXCEPT (as my buddy next door who has been a delivery driver all his life along with some dispatch work tells me) if you’re gonna work in delivery type work for any company whether it’s a company vehicle or your own:: PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE!! Check Check Check everything before you hit the road. Everything. It’s not easy but the folks who do this kind of work for a living for many years will tell you this. Flat tires happen, but it may have been preventable. Also, someone else commented about people using social media to say things and make comments/opinions about companies that they work at. Understandably even when employees may not necessarily repeat negative things online for all the world to see or hear, they STILL care man. I did some HR work for a few years out of college. Bro, companies really just don’t like the fact that people go online social media and mention them at all. It’s just the way it is man. Even if you don’t say anything bad, it’s just not a good vibe at all that they want to be associated with. It produces a sort of stigma. Unfortunately, a part of the reason isn’t the actual posting of the material online itself (ie) a UA-cam video, it’s how easily things are misinterpreted and misconstrued by others. One minute you’re saying nice things online about where you work and in 48 hours someone has it all wrong and spreads some hate or at best misinformation on what you’ve said. You get what I’m saying dude? Maybe Amazon Flex didn’t think you said bad things about them. Maybe they didn’t even know about your video at all. But the point is, why put yourself at risk? I’m using an extreme example but you get the idea.
      Sorry for such a long reply to your video from several months ago, but I did enjoy and appreciate your videos on Amazon Flex so I wanted to participate in the discussion bro. Thanks again and have a good one!

    After trying to create new accounts with new email, new EIN number from the IRS and a different state's DL (I still had a valid one from moving) and before my background check was completed, Amazon sent me an email saying that "due to violation(s) of the Amazon Flex Independent Contractor Terms of Service, Amazon is hereby terminating the Terms of Service. As a result, you are no longer eligible to participate in the Amazon Flex program."

    everyone wants dependable people, apparently this company has no shortage of people looking for employment, sounds like an in and out job , part time thing with no benefits etc.

    Why treat this job as a full time/ only job? This is just a small gig, not even a part time. People don't get confused with this gig. Amazon gives a fuck about you depending on this gig.

    1 Corinthians 15:1-4
    King James Version
    15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
