Hey! First of all thank you for your post!
The "super fast" lick is quite difficult. To take it you can do the "fragments" from the "Rock discipline" method by Petrucci studying them in this way: in triplets with shots in sextuplets, or eights with shots in sixteenths, also the Stetina "speed mechanics" is really cool. To improve the alternate picking I used these two methods mainly (hours and hours and hours :D) Once you get them you can create some "custom" exs by yourself. Hope to be helpful

Damn this solo is making me wish I didn't have a telecaster! Got all the way up to the point where it goes past the 21st fret, before realising I won't be able to play the whole solo without playing it flat or tuning the guitar sharp.... Incredible performance by the way, technically perfect!

Hey man, first of all: what an amazing tutorial! Helped me a lot. But I wanted to ask u a question. I can play the solo up till about 6:36, then the super fast part kicks in and is really driving me crazy. My fingers can't seem to move that fast. Do you recommend trying other solos or exercises first before trying the entire solo or should I keep practicing this one but at a slower pace? Thanks bro!
