    I don’t know how I forgot about this build but it’s perfect! I love the pallet fork pick up and for a WHOLE lot less money to build a platform out of dimensional lumber, than the frame I was going to buy at tractor supply!! I too keep my back hoe on almost constant so this fork pick up is awesome!! Martin over at DIY My Way on UA-cam, built an awesome carryall for a three point hitch from tractor supply but that’s nearly 300 bucks and, I’d have to drop my back how AND, I’d have to somehow counter weight my front end with something in the bucket…but THIS, solves all that AND, the back hoe will work as the counter balance! Oh no!! Gotta put this project on the list now!! I’ll use Martin’s design BUT, design a base on that and I’ll have the best of ALL worlds!!🤣🤣👊🏻

    Great design the only tweak I would have made would be to cut the leaves off of the two vertical pallets put an eyelet into each of the vertical joists of the sides and put a chain or the ability to anchor down a couple of 2 * 4 is or something just to keep things from falling out of the front. But again great design and thanks for the inspiration

      Hey Keith! We’re still around! This is the busy time of year for my work and with the other house projects I’m trying to get done inside unfortunately UA-cam gets put to the side for now. That and with this ridiculous heat my phone doesn’t like to be out in it recording! Almost fried it a couple times 🤦‍♂️ Hopefully will be able to get back to our normally scheduled broadcast soon!

    Very cool use of the pallets! I haven’t even looked what the metal ones cost, but I’d guess you saved a bundle! :).

    Great job. As you were commenting that your visibility wasn’t great, I was trying to look through the cracks in the pallet. If you removed one board from the pallet, the one right under the gas jug shelf, you could see a bit through there. Maybe replace it with a narrower board.

    Just Subscribed, with ALL. God idea on the pallet built front fork carrier. I think that I'll do the same thing! Thanks for the idea. Weston, MO. 2022 JD 1025R with MSL Loader and 260B backhoe and JD 3rd Hydraulic front function. I've got a mini-clipper, grapples-rake-grapple and 3X36 forks and a land plane coming.

    Funny I was just talking about doing this the other day for fire wood stack them in a row and throw a metal roof on then you can have row/s for firewood covered/ portable

    • @Curtis1824
      @Curtis1824  2 роки тому

      Great minds think alike! I did move some firewood yesterday with it. Much easier than the bucket.

    We did something similar to make pallet base icb totes. You guys are right down the road from us, we’re located in Chelsea. Great idea I’m thinking of copying yours but tweaking the design a little. Great video!

    That "Big Tool Rack" is ridiculously priced for no more than what it is. Even the 3 point "carry alls" are expensive for what they are as well. You can generally find pallets for free, or very little cost, and like you did, make a great platform to carry nearly anything you want within the limitations of your tractor.
    I call my tractor my very expensive wheelbarrow LOL. The pallet forks are a very useful attachment. When I got mine I thought well I'd use them maybe once or twice a year to store my roto-tiller, nope use them more often than the bucket on my loader.

    • @Curtis1824
      @Curtis1824  2 роки тому +2

      Couldn't agree with you more! Pallet forks are a necessity in my opinion. So many uses outside of what they're really intended for.
