Who wants another video (or two) on muay thai throws from the clinch? Or maybe a video on throws and sweeps after catching a kick??? Comment below and I'll get it made.
This single video has answered so many questions I’ve had with throws in the clinch. So many gyms have that sink-or-swim mentality that you can only learn by being thrown into the fire. When I try to ask someone that’s more experienced, they just say I’ll get it eventually, which I hate. You broke it down so simply it makes me almost feel like I’m cheating!
Yes please keep this up. I'm taking some MT lessons now and we learned the second throw, but I hadn't seen #1 or #3. I'll have to try that first one especially.
Awesome video! The detail about not pulling and tripping at the same time but one right after the other is really helpful. I would love to see more sweeps. Thank you ☺️
I LOVE this video. Only in depth video I know on youtube about muay thai throws. I love to see more since I do Judo and they are very similar. The knee buckle is unique though, since we normally don't get to that range and position to buckle in the knee.
I recently looked up videso on this. And, they made no reference to popping the knee out. Though, I do remember seeing a technique in a magazine showing it. Really, great to get this info, thanks.
It would be great to get a video on what to do after catching a kick. Not only the sweep but how to be able to get a good strike from that position. In which direction to throw, how to find a clean leg kick or head punch while the opponent is falling or something like that.
Hi GV. Yeah, your throws were a great part of that recent highlight fight you posted. And a hand for technical excellence. Yet at the same time... highlight the ever present weakness in Muay Thai's assumption on physical strength... which is dangerous, yet by no means the be-all-end-all MT protagonists believe it to be. CHEERS.
