@@chepilevski I have a lot people in my life like that ! We know better, I have been sim racing over 30 years, online for the last 25. I now race in a club for veterans with 120 members.We have a lot of guys in their 60's. I still get nervous before each race.

Love the relatable intro. My buddies sometime give me a hard time in fun and the ironic thing is, they last did this when we were on the golf course chasing a little white ball around and cussing at it (now that's mature).
Only a handful of times in my life (I'm 56) have I had a passion for a hobby to the level of I think about it when I wake up and before I go to sleep. These have always been the times that I am the most happy and content. Now I have finally signed up for iRacing and I am becoming obsessed with it.

I got into sim racing because I have a medical condition that took away my license and ability to drive. I've always been around cars even before I was born (my mom and dad used to go to races while she was pregnant with me) and I grew up working on cars with my dad in his shop. It was a huge devastation to lose that part of my life but being able to replace that hobby and part of my life with sim racing really saved my life and pulled me out of a huge depression. I watched a ton of reviews from your channel after selling off my project and track cars before deciding what I wanted to buy and I just wanted to say thank you for being a good resource for sim racing. Thanks brother.

I must say though, too many sim racers out there don't post footage of them making mistakes, and it makes me really self-conscious about my ability. It's refreshing seeing someone at your level is just like me, and still making mistakes despite your skill level

The radar feature is ace - it would be great to be able to switch that on and off easily depending if you are oval racing or road racing (blinky bit would be too annoying on oval I think). Great video as always mate 👍🏁

@@chepilevski With the GT3 rules being basically the only ones for sports cars starting next year, there should be plenty of dead cars out there. I’d call my closest track or two and ask who their salvage yard is. You might get a cockpit basically for the cost of reclaimable material value.
Supposedly race cars that are more than ~5 years old (and thus behind on 1 or 2 rules updates) often sell for relatively little, and those are the ones that still run.
Be sure to mount your PC where the engine was. Bonus points for a silly display window over a mid engine bay!

I use OBS to record the sound and then sync in post buddy 🤛

I have a first world problem and was wondering if you could help me out like you often do.
I own Sprints and it's the last item on my rig I'm looking to upgrade from I wanted to have your opinion to what I should get that will be an actual upgrade. My short list consists of the Simtrecs ProPedal GT. The Imsim Talento the P1 loadcell from sim Coaches and possibly the P2000 from Simagic. Some of these you never reviewed but probably have heard of but If you have other suggestions I'm open to them. Thanks in advance hope summer is treating you well 😊.

The button box on the bottom is SimCore SC1 and the screen is just Walveshare 5.5 inch 1080p HDMI amoled display 😃
The brake bias knob by the way is 3D printed with which i replaced the original from SimCore .

can you please tell me the model number of the monitors you use. I think i should go with 32 inch
@glitchinthematrix9306 I don't think you will get the same screens because monitors only stay on the market for 2 or maybe even 3 years then they're discontinued.
Google 1440p 165hz or above 32in and go for IPS screens. LG make many options for this. I have the Asus rog strix XG32VC screens 1440p 170hz 32in.
If you see 1ms response that is the time it takes a pixel to go from grey and back too grey so the lower the number the smoother image higher numbers cause smearing on fast moving objects so not good for simracing. Ips is always better than VA panels as VA panels suffer from smearing well most do nut IPS doesn't have this issue but VA give better blacks but ips gives much better colours.
Need any more advice just ask.

every hobby can be as inexpensive or as expensive as the individual can balance... back in the 1950s in USA, if you were a moderately successful in your day job which meant you could pay all your bills, support a family, have a house , cars, etc... it was pretty much expected you had a hobby, if you didn't something was wrong with you.
that hobby could be a golf or tennis club, joining a lodge like the lions club, rotary club, mason etc... collecting stamps, model trains, rc cars planes, the list was endless.
everyone understood the value of a hobby, it was what gave your character depth you were more than just your job, and that was not only important but necessary.
with out that hobby you would burn out in your job and productivity would suffer. it was even viewed as a status symbol to have a hobby, and as a personal character defect if you didn't.
we now live in a society that has no real structure or focus, for many a hobby is a waste of time and money, and that is because
1. they have no hobby themselves. i have even heard on multiple occasions a person say, sleeping is their hobby, they were always serious, you even see this in high school kids.
2. they have no idea the value both mentally and physically a hobby provides.
3. today's society want worker drones and nothing more. as people become more and more disconnected via the net, this will only get worse.
4. they have no passion for anything, not even life it self.
there are many more reasons I could list, but you get the point.
bottom line, it is them, not you that has the problem, and it is so deep seeded they will likely never realize it, never, not in this life time.

@@chepilevski i understand that there is few options more like you mapped to show car on left or right is passing you, but for regular simrace and price point stream deck is great, i made research a lot as wanted button box, but came to decision buy stream deck as i will have start stop engine buttons, volume controls for way less money. Ofcourse it is ok that we have more and more options! But from user perspective it is very special nice product, but maybe i'm worng ;)

just spent 1500 on a stupid fanatek wheel which was only SUPPOSED to be a few hundred bucks more than what i sold my t300 for. of course i learned that the bundle i was gonna buy isnt for ps5 which is why it was cheap. of course i found this out as the ppl were coming to buy my t300... and of course the only one i can buy was 1500... so no there are no upgrades for a very very long time lol

I've recently lost my job and have no means of supporting my wife and myself.
I live in a third-world country where neither of us can make a living.
You apply for a job in a clothing shop and there you see 300 people applying for the same spot.
I don't know if we will end up homeless, or if we'll die from starvation someday.

Our bodies already decided what we do and then our logical mind backs it up making us believe that we consciously control our bodies.
