Word of advice bro from someone who likes tinkering with stuff like you . For better results and finish i use a wood router with a end mill cutting bit in it 12mm dia then in the trim router i got a 6 mm end mill bit . Clamp you piece down well and put wood either side your piece run your router over the top with more wood for guides for the router take small cuts at a time the finish is amazing mate ive made a full Telecaster guitar out of Alloy its the Dogs Bollocks 😁😁🤘🤘
This is great advice that would have helped me a lot during these times. Just recently I got a mini lathe, so I can attach a milling attachment and get fairly good results, nothing like from an actual milling machine but still far more precise than drilling by hand and filing the edges.
Just a suggestion, use a countersunk screw to attach the chamber on the hammer housing and remove the threaded part in the chamber so that when you tighten the chamber screw, the chamber will press firmly to the hammer housing.
Yes that's a good idea, I will make a new project soon with a slightly new design, I put a countersunk screw in another spot for attaching it, once i realized that its a much better system.
Buy valve: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DByh5fT Buy Aluminium tank: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DdXAbPr in case you wanna learn more about the valve and the bottle, here's a video I made ua-cam.com/video/PhGg3MchBMg/v-deo.html
How long does it take to make this airgun? Seem really long and tedious but very impressive considering you only used hand tool, also it would be a lot easier and faster if you have a lathe or milling machine.
If I have all the materials then i think I could make it in 6 hours or so (not including stock) and as long as everything goes according to plan. Maybe one day i will have a lathe or a milling machine
@@pcpairgunschannel 6 hours damn, if iam the one building it even if all the material available i couldn't finish it in 1 weeks let alone 6 hours, anyway thanks for sharing
Do you mean can you make a PCP gun with a fire extinguisher? You can but the pressure rate is much smaller, safe at around 400 PSI, can handle 800 PSI with a strong hammer. but if you wanna make a cylinder instead of the big tank, you would need a welding machine or some big plugs. I don't have them so i cant do it.
Are you planning on starting that big bore project?, really impressed with ingenuity of this one, but more interested in making a bigger bore one something 8-10mm
One day I'm sure I will make it, but it's not my next project unless I have change of plans I will make it either 7.62mm or 9mm The big bore build will obviously have a bigger barrel and a stronger spring, then I will use a higher pressure rate and a larger tank for more shots. I will also change the trigger system so it can handle more pressure and the gun overall needs a sturdier build. My aim is to make it at least 100 ftlbs (136 joules)
My next project is most likely a .177 cal with a magazine, if I have enough availability for products. Otherwise I would probably make that big bore air gun
@@Sean-- Not a big issue, a bigger outlet hole as well as a bigger hole the valve stem is against would help a lot, but someone made a 120 Joule air gun with this exact valve and I assume they didn't modify the valve. The valve seal would have to be bigger too, if the holes were bigger. So I think a stronger spring and a larger bore will do the job, but I will research a bit before doing it.
@@Sean-- I am not getting a response very well from the seller that can sell me parts for 177 cal rifle with a magazine, the big bore air gun might very well be my next project. i plan to make it 9mm and with a side lever loading system, but i will make it much sturdier.
I can't sell it myself, but i have left links in the description to buy the same parts, but my design is poorly planned and the build isn't good in terms of quality. Unfortunately though it seems the shipping to Iraq is really expensive
@@pcpairgunschannel Gets a decent shot but needs 1000 to 2000 psi. Which is a bit of a pain. No problem using the regulator. Go ahead।waiting for new Video 🖤🖤🖤

These videos are so cool, really impressive work considering your lack of machinist tools. If you plan on doing another project in the future maybe you could try an airgun with a rotary magazine, there's some remarkably simple designs that wouldn't be very difficult to add to this design such as this one ua-cam.com/video/Zg4LnzTyWBo/v-deo.html
Thank you very much sir. That actually happens to be my next plan, but the magazine wont be self made sadly. i also have a plan of making a pcp pistol and a big bore air gun, maybe to them i will add
@@pcpairgunschannel If you ever get a 3d printer, I've seen 3d printed rotary magazines before that you could use. I'm really looking forward to your future videos, especially that PCP pistol.
5.6mm or 5.5mm if the tube seller has good precision and the 5.5mm is actually 5.5mm and not like 5.4mm then use it, anything in the 5.48mm-5.6mm range will work okay.
@@zatesupdates2339 it's not possible to use a tube with 3mm or 4mm inner dia for 5.5mm pellets as the pellets just won't fit, you need 5.5mm inner dia for 5.5mm pellets. If you can't find such a pipe the best could be 6mm Id tube but the accuracy would be just horrible and the pellets probably will be rotating in the air hitting he target sideways... So I guess if you just wanna experiment by making one without good accuracy 5.6mm Id is best, but keep in mind the accuracy really won't be that good.
