Good breakdown. For me, almost all of Eddie's suits fall apart due to his dress shirts being too dark. On two occasions, he wears light dress shirts under his tweed suits and that works so much better.
Most of Freddie's clothes come from Cordings of London. I have the exact same cords and one of his shirts.Cordings also provided all the country clothes for the mother and Suzie.
Everyone did well, but I loved freddie. He brought so much vibes, even though sometimes fustrating. Mr. Johnson and Ms. Glass were quite the character as well.
I loved your review, I liked the construction of Eddie's character using the most casual jackets and shirts, being a military man and seeing that he wanted to get away from that world to the evolution of the suits when he begins to be more comfortable with the idea of joining the business, also the nod to the fact that there he also begins to smoke cigars unlike his brother , In the scene where they are both smoking but Freddie is smoking weed and Eddie is smoking a cigar that was his father's favorite, I think the choice of color The gray and brown suits were more than anything to highlight the filter that the series has, it has a non-sepia touch but there is something in the games of warm colors that it plays with or I don't know if it doesn't. , Although I would say that the gangsters dress better just putting Susie, followed by Jhoston as winners
I thought Edward and Freddie looked quietly elegant. Mr Johnston (with a "T") dressed like a 1940s and 1950s Hollywood producer. If you see pictures of L.B. Mayer and Darryl Zanuck and other producersfrom that time period, you can see the influence.
It's a little hard to make any recommendations. Waxed jackets in general are quite pricey. There are a few somewhat cheaper including Thursday who are renowned for their excellent boots. And P&Co. Wayfare jacket is possibly the cheapest quality one but it's still over US$200.
I want to see how the men could pull off ornaments in this show. Kinda like how Mickey Pearson pulled off that single earring and others with their signet rings and bracelets.
I started following the costume designer on Instagram when I saw her posting the brands for a few of the outfits from the series....but on all of the ties she just listed 'vintage' and on that particular one you pointed out wanting (I wanted it as well) when asked if she remembered the brand, so said she did not, just vintage. If you find its name, let a brother know!
Beautiful video, I loved this series especially because of the garments they wore. Could you cover the movie the inspired the adaptation of the series also titled The Gentlemen.
Any idea who made that tie (the one you say you want)? Hard to tell exactly what the colors are due to the fairly heavy color grading. Looks like silk, some kind of paisley pattern.
I honestly find the stylist(s) has a fetish for neck wear (ties and silk scarf), for me the ties are a bit too much but for a show like this is very appropriate.
Thank you to everybody that liked my recent video and left such interesting comments. There will be more coming soon and please feel free to make suggestions for future episodes.
I thought you would review Susie Glass' drip. She was definitely best dressed!
I would love to. She is fantastic but my lack of knowledge of women's style prevents me from attempting that.
@@ForTheLoveOfSuits Fair point, me neither lol. Kaya Scodelario is a top shelf sheila though.
Agree
Naah.
'Drip' is strictly a male thing
Sussie glass without a flinch
I love how Eddie started wearing a gold Patek Nautilus once he’d fully transitioned into his new life.
I didn’t notice that detail. Nice. But is that a gangster or an aristocrat’s watch? Either way it’s a rich man’s watch.
Both
@@ForTheLoveOfSuits wouldnt say eddie is a gangster so i think the 5711/1r suits him well
It was good he had two
Great eye on you!

Loved the style in this show I loved Vinnie Jones style in the show
He looked good and it was great to see him back in a Guy Richie show as well.

Thanks. I'm going to check them out on my next trip to London.
What a great new channel to come across, and awesome to see the views blowing up! Keep up the great work good Sir!
Thanks you very much. I appreciate your words. I will keep it coming.
Clearly Freddie is the best dressed. Nothing can match the chicken suit
It is a fabulous and truly unique moment in TV.
Truly bespoke piece from Hens & Co.
Everyone did well, but I loved freddie. He brought so much vibes, even though sometimes fustrating. Mr. Johnson and Ms. Glass were quite the character as well.
He was great. Treacherous but great. I think Daniel Ings did an amazing job portraying him. Like you said brought a lot to the show.
Excellent analysis, love the channel! Keep those videos coming…
Thanks you so much. Will do.
An excellent production, very well done. M
Absolutely love the video analysis ❤
Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
Stanley Johnston with a "T"
Most of them are wearing Cordings' clothes so all pretty excellent

Look at neil caffrey in white collar, also very interesting
Thanks for the reminder. I really enjoyed that show. And a snappy dresser that deserves my attention.
We want the full-length epic video from you. Bravo!
Excellent Video! Can you please do a follow up with the wrist watches involved?
I would love to but I need to brush up my knowledge on watches.

Enjoying your breakdowns. I can't find the pocket square video. Would you please point me it?
try this one: ua-cam.com/video/Lqyft49aol4/v-deo.html
You should do a review on the movie too. ;-)
Stanley Johnston with a T sits with jacket buttoned.
Do you mind giving us a more budget friendly alternatives for a similar style barbour jackets? Thank you🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you I’ll have look into it
Thank you ! Can you do one with Hannibal ? The series with mads Mikkelsen. He wears one of the best suits ever in a show.
Absolutely agree. Very interesting suits. It's on my list.
I want to see how the men could pull off ornaments in this show. Kinda like how Mickey Pearson pulled off that single earring and others with their signet rings and bracelets.
@ForTheLoveOfSuits I would love to see another video about the Outfits of the other the Gentlemen series characters!!
Yes, there is so much there. I might give it shot.
@@ForTheLoveOfSuits That wo be phenomenal. You've got my subscription 👍🏼👍🏼
guy ritchie has watched your video and that's a fact
That would be fabulous.
Stanley’s style was by far the best dressed person in the movie and even the reason i watched it also i just love everything double breasted
I think he definitely wins the popular vote.

please more !!

Definitely. On my list.
I'm female and I love a sharp dressed man!!!
Thank you so much for your comment. I hope a lot of the guys read this.

I liked the guy who played Torremon in GOT style of dress, tbh
Wow. I totally missed that. I was a big fan of GOT. Yes. He was a douche bag character but great portrayal and great style.
Any idea who made that tie (the one you say you want)? Hard to tell exactly what the colors are due to the fairly heavy color grading. Looks like silk, some kind of paisley pattern.
Do Susie, god she's gorgeous.
Great video! Eddie wore a great tuxedo in one scene too, did he not?
Thanks. Yes he did. I almost included it but the video was getting a bit packed with info.
Stanley Johnston for sure
S Glass best dressed
You're not the first to say it. She does look good.
The dad that was in prison was also dressed very well, you think you could make a video on him?
Yes he is. And I did in a video covering some of the other characters in the show here at ua-cam.com/video/rDmtJJDMkbY/v-deo.html
Stanley Johnson is playing on a billiards table NOT a pool table. We are nothing if not pedantic.
I honestly find the stylist(s) has a fetish for neck wear (ties and silk scarf), for me the ties are a bit too much but for a show like this is very appropriate.
Fetish is a good word.
Qn, denim shirt with a suit or a chambray shirt? The latter is more fitting, no?
The gangster all day.
Hannibal lecter next please. Mads had style
Cool. Another request for Mads. I'll push it up my list.
Do wolf of wall street
the suit at 4:00 is it

This: *Keeps popping in my recommendations*
Me: “When will you let me go?”
This: “Never.”
Sorry about that. But good news for me as my tiny channel finally has a minor hit.
Any idea where these ties are from
Could you do a video on harvey specter
Yes.You're not the first to ask so Ill get round to it soon.
Susie Glass?
Eddie’s Mum?
Susie is covered in the follow up video ua-cam.com/video/rDmtJJDMkbY/v-deo.html
which version is this? 2019 or 2024?
2024, the new TV show.
Sooo who is dressed best?
Haha. Well technically Eddie is both so who knows bt what fun seeing how well they are dressed,
Peaky Blinders inspired this show
Is your accent Irish?
It is. Though not very strong so well spotted.
Eddie wasn't dressed well at all. Gangsta was dressed better!
