Age gap is my thing…love it! Don’t Kiss the Bride is definitely one of my favorite. Just finished reading Hush, Hush, I loved the follow up book which I didn’t know there was. I have Balance on my list to read, I heard great things and I know I will not be disappointed. Have a great weekend!
Hush Hush will forever be my favourite age gap romance 🩷🫠 James and Aubrey just complete each other perfectly 💞 Yet, I still remember how you had to convince me to read it, cause I was so afraid of the 30 year age gap 🫣 These worries were so unfounded 🤩 🤯🤩
The Naked Fishermann got me so emotional. Reese is so strong on the second book. Liked her better there. Love their love story. The author is really good because she has the power to connect you with all the characters. Really really good for an age gap romance book. 🎉
My favorite is actually recommended by you but not on this video. Nikki Sloan books about Macalister Hale and the last one about Macalister “The Redemption” is my favorite! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Love age gap romances! Many of my favorite books has actually been recommended by you and discovered with your help. so thank you very much! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Hi there! Please read Pepper Winters’s boy and his ribbon duet. It’s age gap trope but very different from any other books I’ve read. Highly recommended.
I can do a age gap!!…but my gosh it cannot be an age gap between someone who just got out of high school and a 35-40 even possibly older man. Because I already can’t do YA romance. 😩😩😩
it would depend on how it was done. speaking for myself i was pretty mature for my age, even as a little kid. i didn't mix well with kids my own age. hated my teen age years... and i hated teens even when i was one. i just couldn't relate. I was always hanging out with the grown ups, or i was off doing my own thing by myself. I was constantly looking for mental stimulation, good conversations or someone willing to teach me SOMETHING useful. (i'm still like that) But i can absolutely understand the ick factor of someone just out of high school. i remember too well what that looked like.... and there was a very good reason why i avoided having a boyfriend in high school (i tried it 9th grade. they were stupid, ignorant, crude, handsy, and smelly. not to mention the acne and patchy facial hair. they didn't improve a whole lot by 12th grade.) i was definitely attracted to older guys who had their crap together and appreciated personal hygiene. this is probably why I like period drama and romance. Teens are a relatively new invention in our world. a sort of forced prolonged childhood that's pretty unnecessary for a lot of people. like i get it if someone isn't mentally or physically mature enough to be an adult. i know people who are in the 60s who still havent reached that stage of development.... but i never understood why those of us who were ready and mature had to be forcefully restrained from getting jobs and taking on responsibilities when we wanted or needed them. I've never read YA either.....i never could get past the descriptions or first chapter. it sounds like a deliberately contradictory term.... this genre SEEMS like it's geared towards high school age kids... which are NOT adults. sure, age 18 is a grey area... you're old enough to drive, a car, smoke, vote, get married (or do the grown up stuff without getting married) and die for your country..... but you can't buy or be served alcohol. i mean i understand why, but it still kinda makes me laugh the more i think about it. and honestly, after age 21 you're legal to do whatever and whoever you want because you are no longer a child. that's the fun of becoming an adult. and yet you're still considered as immature and inept as a teen. Literally no one takes you seriously. it would be insulting if it wasn't just so ironic (and funny) There's a lot of room for some smashing good comedy if someone was clever enough to write about it. which is exactly why i'm here. trying to find something that isnt drama or tragic.
