As a heavier runner i found this to be great. I also like the lower drop. This is a simple workhorse for longer protected runs. Its a smooth rockered ride i think for slower and easy runs. I agree it is stable and grips well.
I really like my Ghost max. I do wish it had a tad bit more snap / pop from the soul at times. And the sole is wearing very quickly in the forefoot in certain spots. All in all I like this shoe alot. It's not the Shangri La of running shoes but it's a great choice if you want some protective cushioning and it is very easy to run in.
I agree with everyone but Tom lol...loving this shoe. I have noticed my outside is disappearing much quicker then anticipated though....that's a little worrisome.
How does it compare to Cumulus 25 ? Both cumulus 25 and ghost max are available at similar price, and I'm really confused. Current shoe is Nike Pegasus 39.
Update on my original comment: I bought a pair of black ones for myself they literally feel like the best pair of runners I’ve ever worn! Now here’s the vet strange thing….. I was so impressed with my pair I went and bought a white pair for my wife. I have tiny feet so I can wear my wife’s ones and they feel completely different to my ones ? Interested to know if anyone else has experienced this kind of thing?
Hi Ben Parkes. Would you recommend The Ghost Max for the Comrades marathon? & if so how much mileage do you think one will need to put on it before June 9th? 🙏🏼
When you guys say “ 7:39 true to size” are you referring to the length that matches the number on your brannock device or is true to size usually a half size up from the brannock device number?
@@oneschance I always go the 1/2 size bigger in my Brooks sneakers than my regular shoe size and that works for me. I learned from my marathon training days that the 1/2 size bigger is needed to avoid damage and discomfort and loss of toenails. You should be fine with 1/2 size bigger 😉
@@Fozzee.1970 you’re not understanding. Thanks for trying. Maybe I can ask the question in better wording. I know what I mean and you’re not currently addressing it.
Yeah but the sole on the New Balance V3 isn't quite the same aa the one on the V4, being much harder. Plus, the upper tissue of the Fresh Foam More V4 tear after 6 months
I like the cushioning but the soles are wearing out way to fast. I use them for work and don't put a lot of miles on them so I can just imagine people that use them strictly for running.
It shits on the 1080v12, I hated those shoes and thought they felt like bricks, but in certain cases I'd take the 1080v13 over the Ghost Max. Mostly the really slow recovery runs. Those two shoes are my favorites.
Nope. In fact, the G Max feels the tiniest bit tighter to me in the toebox. They do feel true to size. I have both the Ghost and Ghost Max in the same size.
Dreadful, only did a few training runs in the Ghost Max and ended up with a glute injury that required physio treatment. I normally run in Ghost , current model Ghost 15, a great shoe and I shall be returning to the Ghost 16 when it becomes available.
I find the Nimbus 25 to be one of the best shoes ever made. I think that’s why I love these multi tester reviews as well all like something a little different
@@richardfrench5409Agreed! The Nimbus 25 had have gotten me off my Brooks. I've heard the Nimbus 26 are firmer than the 25s. I prefer soft and cushy because they're easy on my feet over firmer soles.
I’ve tried several Brooks Ghost shoes and I will never wear them again. Their cushioning is not very soft or comfortable in any way. Very overpriced and overhyped. No idea why people love these basic, heavy, harsh shoes 🤷♂️
It’s strange because I bought myself a black pair and they quite literally the most comfortable and pillowy shoes I’ve ever run in ! I went and bought my wife a pair of white ones ( we are the same size ) . I tried hers and they don’t feel anywhere near the same level of comfort or spring ! It’s wierd I wonder if the productions aren’t completely consistent?!
As a heavy runner I prefer a firm cushioning. I never had more achy feet than after running 10k in a NB "fresh foam X" 840. A good thing there are so many choices. Also - Brooks aren't "overpriced". I recently bought the Divide 4 for 85€. How is that "overpriced"?

It’s funny how different runners have different performance opinions of different shoes ! I found these shoes awesome for long runs and easy runs😊

If you took the Brooks logo off of the Ghost Max I think Tom would've been praising it much more. 😂
How does it compare to glycerin 20?

Better than the puma magnify 2 for slow paces? 5:30min/km?
We needed sub-titles. I did catch Asics Gel Nimbus. NB 1080. I don't think I've heard anyone mention the Hoka Bondi. I find that odd.

Puma Foreverrun sounds like a better option..
Good reviews
It is support arch foot and wide?
Is it firmer than kayano30 ?

They are saying it's fits them true to size for the normal shoe size they wear.
@@Fozzee.1970 I understand stand that part. I was diving deeper.

Brooks and Cushion are two words that sound weird together.

So when is the Adrenaline GTS Max coming out? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am looking for comfortable walking shoes when traveling ? Any recommendation

The midsole looks like it’d be similar to 1080v11-12 or Shiftv3. How does the Max compare to those?

Is the toe box wider than the Ghost 15?
You might wanna try the Brooks Divide 4. Very comfy and wide toe box and 8 mm drop.

If the Gel Nimbus has “nailed down” this category then the category needs to be scrapped because there’s nothing good in it

Very soft ride for this 240# clydesdale. Would never call this midsole “firm.”

These guys seemingly dont like any shoes haha
Hideous colorways for men in EU.
US has an off white / gray colorway that will work for me but these are just stupid ugly.
