- This maybe the last video in the Ford Explorer ST rebuild and i wanted to share the total cost. Not even sure it’s worth rebuilding cars anymore unless you do it for fun.
The explorer ST is my new favorite SUV. This thing goes hard, i will post a few short updates on it with the final tune revision as well as some more upgrades to the car.

Mother Nature is a Widow Maker
You need to do a brake stand launch. These things pull a lot harder if you build boost before launching.
It’s not ready for that yet
When it's ready, follow these steps, in order.
1 put in sport mode
2 press and hold the traction control button to completely turn it off. you have to change the drive mode first them turn off Trac control. whenever you change drive modes it will turn Trac control back on, so you change mode first, then Trac control.
3 pump and then hold down brake as hard as you can with your left foot.
4 bring up rpm to about 2400-2500
5 let go of brake and floor it and let it eat. with practice you can zero in on how much rpm your brakes can hold before they break loose. I launch mine at 2800

Imagine being younger, you take a girl out and things work out but she ends up pregnant. You excited at first but things change between you and end up going separate ways but it was worth it for the end result……to me thats what rebuilding a car is like, you sometimes regret the process but love the end result…..especially when its paid in full😂

That has to be a totally different 3.0 that earlier Rangers had to have any reliability with boost
