    Are the candle holders safe to use with a tea light candle or does the flame cause it to melt? Is it better to use battery operated candles with them to prevent any melting of the resin?

    That turned out beautifully! The flowers look so great, and I love the color. i haven't talked to a mold manufacturer about it yet, but I heard from someone who would likely know, that alcohol is harmful to silicone molds. I had asked if alcohol or a lighter is better for popping bubbles, and he told me to never use alcohol on them. I don't know - just what I heard. I don't live where you do, so I am not qualified to enter. Daggonit! hehe

    Hello! This is my first resin project. I did my first pour, placed all my beads, flowers, etc., and it hardened beautifully. Did the next pour and filled it to the top (I have the same mold), and it won't cure! Was it too deep? It's about 80% cured, and I don't know how to get it out of there. Any advice? Thank you so much, and I love this video! The second try will hopefully go much better. 😀

      I'm fairly new to resin, but my thoughts are:
      a) the resin/hardner mix was off or
      b) the room temperature can have an impact on curing time - too cold can slow it down

    I love this idea, Sheri how does the tea light go with the resin, can you use a real tea light or does it need to be fake one? Like will the heat from a real tea light candle melt the resin?? Sorry could be a silly question. Hope you get the followers, fingers crossed 🤞

    • @sherivegasartist
      @sherivegasartist  3 роки тому +2

      The resin is super tough once it has full set. The small tea light candle doesn’t give off enough heat to effect it.

    How long do I wait in between pours? Do I need to coat my flowers in resin first?

    • @sherivegasartist
      @sherivegasartist  Рік тому

      You do not need to coat the flowers 1st. Some people do like to do that to help prevent bubbles but if you do thin layers and using a fluid casting resin you don’t need to. I normally wait around 6 hours does depend on how fast the resin you use sets

      @noelblaszczyk9174 Рік тому

      @@sherivegasartist ok I used deep pour resin only did a first layer put my flowers in and filled it up to the top, I got a few large bubbles and some micro bubbles I did not flood my flowers but noticed that it settled while curing I kept mixing small amounts of resin to fill it up but it kept settling I’m assuming because of the bubbles. Can I ask about your classes? I’m interested in a very beginner resin/geode class. How do I purchase a class if I’m in the US?
