Aeron chairs are amazing. I have one that I have used continuously for over 20 years. I replaced one foam pad and a piston, so about $60 in maintenance after two decades. Works as good as new, I’ll probably retire before this chair does.
I can highly recommend a proper standing mat to go with a standing desk -- I got one from Aeris about a six weeks ago, and I stand up a lot more now. It's not just a foam pad, it has these knobbly things in it so you shift your position slightly every now and then, and I find that I can also keep standing up for longer, easily at least one hour at a time.
This comment is hilarious to me. A standing mat? What are you going to suggest next? A shirt specifically designed for standing up? Or shoes specifically designed for sitting down on a computer desk? Sounds as ridiculous as apple man 😂😭
You've got a fantastic desk set up - it's stylish and clutter free. You can't go wrong with Herman Miller Aeron, I bought my chair in February, I can't speak highly of it. Yes, its very expensive, but I've no back pain or issues since.

Nice Desk Setup! I went through dozens of those plastic chair mats in the past. Then I used an extra box of laminate flooring we had left over after putting new flooring in another room. Just snapped a bunch of planks together and laid it out on the carpet. Gives you a solid wood surface to roll around on without the cracking plastic mat. Looks a lot nicer as well.

Had the gaming Aeron and had to send it back as the frame edge dug into my thigh after a while and you have no adjustment there. Was gutted at the time given the price. Now have a Human scale Freedom which is much better for me. I'd recommend getting an Aeron direct from Herman Miller as you have 14 days to send it back no questions asked and they are really good about that so I was not out of pocket. In addition having a headrest makes a bigger difference than you think.
I've been looking forward to the update video, such a nice desk setup! 😉 That monitor looks wicked - I think my next upgrade will be for something similar. Always impressed at the consistency and quality of your content, looking forward to seeing where the desk goes next!

Nice desk setup, you do have a monitor riser but have you considered a monitor arm that connects to the desk, you could free up some space below the monitor on the monitor riser to put some small plants or accessories.

I have this chair and I like it, but I do find the tolerances aren't great, so it does feel a tad wobbly. With that said, it's a good chair overall. I was walking home one day and noticed a neighbour threw away his one (!!!) - so now I have 2 of these chairs, I cannot believe someone would do that! - it's in good condition too!
I love my Vita lol again such an amazing set up. Ive been trying to get a set up together for years lol three kids and the planed-demic set me back alot
If you guys don't want to spend so much money on a monitor raiser, get a shelf and some small silver legs from Ikea. I've had that for a few years and it looks great, is sturdy and only cost like $35 overall.

Great idea. This is a thick/hard plastic so it hardly flexes, but I know what you mean.
