@AzerGhost16 What's the difference with this village then? They're being employed for their size. Shredded Cheese I think that Warwick means that these people live in a community of all-dwarves. It’s kind of awful for Chinese people to take a bunch of dwarves and put them together, make them act as fairies and fantastical creatures. The key difference between Warwick and the performers is that Warwick has a normal life besides his acting career, whilst these Chinese little people literally live in mushroom-esque houses
@@maple2524 Don't think they "Took" them. they are employed there.. I see both points of view. On one hand it's great they have somewhere where they can go to make money and live where it's all adapted for them, and it makes sense that they make a little community where everything caters to their needs, but on the other hand it's sad that society doesn't try to include people with different bodies and abilities more so they don't have to build a village separately and can hang around with everyone else.
How do we know they aren’t more happy living amongst other dwarfs? All of them will be in the same boat, everything will be designed for their size so it’s probably more comfortable and safety plus they won’t be making fun of each other for their height.

The Dwarf Village is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Mainly because of the architect of the buildings. They give me a happy feeling. No wonder why Karl kind of enjoyed the place. As long as everyone there is happy, this is a great place to visit.
Karl is the best! I absolutely love his explanations and thoughts on things!
"I'm in the thick of it."
Karl, You ARE the thick of it.
He is the funniest man alive to me
I have never seen another man as accidentally hilarious as Karl Pilkington XD
Karl loves a pun.
- Rickydiculous
- Shuddup Gervaise
- Wet Knee Houston
- Torrets Trent Darby
But it's an act dude.
"And is he little?"
"Course he is"
:D
the editing team should win an emmy. look at their work as soon as karls on the phone
Karl -“You mean if work dries up, they’re not makin another Star Wars, you can’t dress up as a little monkey, you got no money comin in, you wouldn’t think about comin here, then?”
Warrick - “Definitely not.”
The look on Karl’s face if priceless.
Of course he will not go... Uk has welfare and laws against discriminations.... And, by the way he is a star and he should remember all the roles he played as a elf, creature... To become a star into tall people's cinema.
Bloody great show miss karl & his little mate please bring the show back thank you
"I met a woman, she' s a little dwarf, she's been here for 4 months and she's already got her own mushroom to live in"
LMFAO okay now I'm convinced Karl is more a comedian than an idiot
This is still hilarious, always hilarious... XD
The way Karl gets fascinated by different ways of life and always sees a thing he can describe as "alright" is amazing. He's not as blind to realities as many think but he's definitely got more than an ounce of optimism in him especially when surrounded by dwarves and "freaks".
The comment about having a mushroom to live in already and in general... His enthusiasm to wander about a miniature house, it's priceless...
Yeah, there was a king!
"you're basically going there to gawp at them."
"Errm... Well yeah I did!?."
😂
When Warrick's work dried up he just tried his hand at a mundane daytime TV quiz instead!
They all seem happy and get along, so obviously, there is no problem!
Warwick is a legendary actor and the casual 'a mate of Ricky's.....yeah I'm just here in China' that was a lot lol
OMG! I’m chilean and never seen Karl before, but this is hilarius. So manny funny quotes. This dude is a legend. 😂
Absolute legend. Their podcasts are hilarious are worth checking out if you haven’t already.
"Its Karl, Ricky's mate"
😄
i love how karl really exposes warwick's double standards here - he takes up roles in movies where he's made to look like a novelty character, yet he says these chinese dwarfs are pandering to demand for a "freak show". karl's a brill genius, make no mistake about it.
@AzerGhost16 What's the difference with this village then? They're being employed for their size. There's no evidence that they're being exploited or segregated; what, because they're playing the roles of fairies and the like that's exploitation? Then what about what Warwick does?
We don't know enough to say this is anything other than employment for these people.
Shredded Cheese I think that Warwick means that these people live in a community of all-dwarves. It’s kind of awful for Chinese people to take a bunch of dwarves and put them together, make them act as fairies and fantastical creatures. It takes their value as humans and denies them a sense of normality. The key difference between Warwick and the performers is that Warwick has a normal life besides his acting career, whilst these Chinese little people literally live in mushroom-esque houses
@@maple2524 Don't think they "Took" them. they are employed there.. Pretty sure the whole place is a show and the dwarfs don't actually live in those mushrooms. they didn't even have doors or windows ffs, its just a show. they'll go home at the end of the night like any other performer. Karl just assumed they actually lived their because of the "dwarf houses".
@Azius The only reason Warwicks in those roles is because he's a midget mate don't pretend otherwise
@@maple2524 what do you mean take, they have to apply for the job like all the other dwarves
To be fair to Karl, he'd probably be perfectly happy with his own little mushroom house.
He's such a pure person not one bad bone in him he's not there to laugh at anyone he's genuinely interested and loves to see things out of the norm how the world works
"any film with a dwarf in it, he's it.."
jesus fucking christ Karl, i'm crying with laughter
But Warwick makes a living out of being a dwarf
Same for them
"nice little show they put on..."
Warwick: "......"
They’re only busy at Christmas 😂😂
4:15 Cameraman trying to stifle his laugh 😁
2:46 personally, I'm pretty sick of hearing people here in England constantly rattling on saying "you shouldn't have a little dwarf village and that"
"Dwarfs are only busy during Christmas" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was drinking water when Karl said that a woman has only been here 4 months and she's already got her own mushroom to live in. I spat out all the water through my nose lol
The dwarfs voices are so cute
“Oooh you shouldn’t be having a little dwarf village and all that”
This is a pretty accurate reflexion about how hollywood trats dwarf people. There is no much difference from this to the biggest movies.
Hollywood pays a damn site better
I have a friend that would be terrified to be there. Sending her this video now
Did he just tell a dwarf that he is on his high horse . Omg kill me
I like how the doors are made even smaller than they need to be
He's up on his "high horse"?
Karl's too much😂
Thank you I miss being regular size!... hope y'all have peace of your village...miss y'all.without too much gauking.
Now I can't get the image of Warwick Davis on a high horse out of my mind. It's like a birthday card image or something.
Well said
How do we know they aren’t more happy living amongst other dwarfs?
All of them will be in the same boat, everything will be designed for their size so it’s probably more comfortable and safety plus they won’t be making fun of each other for their height.
@@jewellui "how do we know they arent happy living amongst other dwarfs"
because they arent fucking wild animals and they can speak for themselves and what they want you idiot.
@@jewellui They're not a monolith. Maybe some would genuinely prefer where they're living, but the issue is that it's basically forced on all of them.
When Karl is under pressure or is in an uncomfortable position, he comes of with the funniest things. To this day, mainly because of An Idiot Abroad, i call Karl Pilkington the funniest man alive, some might disagree, some might agree but thats my opinion. The reason Ricky or Steve were not sent is because they've gone to different countries and embraced new cultures whilst Karl hasn't, he thinks any one who doesn't have a similar culture to the British is fascinating/weird.
Warwick Davis played Grildrig, a clown who got his laughs by being short in the 1996 film Gulliver's Travels.
I legitimately can't tell if Karl plays a character or if he is just being himself.
He’s like this mate
Nobody could fake the character for as long as he has.
I love it how Karl thinks that just because he’s there and “in the thick of it” that he’s got the better perspective.
She's already got her own mushroom to live in...
Has Karl never been to a theme park before??
FUNNIEST MAN ALIVE - HILARIOUS POINT OF VIEW AND IMPECCABLE COMEDY TIMING!!!!!!!
i don't remember me laughing so hard in a long time. This is gold.
Hahaha you were sat on a shelf 😂
Warwick judging it, without talking to anyone whose experienced it.
Karl is so god damn pure. He must be protected at all costs.
I honey don't think I have ever enjoyed as much or thought a person was more hilariously & interesting than Karl.
How can Carl not see that this is a contrived tourist attraction??
“Because I know people at home get a little funny about....oh you know....we shouldn’t be havin a little dwarf village”
LOL
The fact that Karl thought Warwick would love this is priceless!
I kinda see Warwick's point, he's playing dwarf-like characters in movies to include them there but it's not really inclusion if it's nothing but dwarves and you're supposed to be amused solely by the fact they're dwarves
"he was at the top. he had a little cloak on and a crown and shades on. you could tell. he was in charge."
Sitting around the piano singing Happy birthday for the 80th time that day 😂😁
