- China appears to have conducted the maiden flight of its new sixth-generation fighter aircraft, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to challenge US dominance in air combat.
Videos and images shared on social media show an unfamiliar tailless fighter jet soaring over Sichuan province on December 26.
Accompanying the new jet was a J-20 fighter, reportedly serving as a “chase plane” during the test flight.

Both planes are real, but neither are made in China. The aircraft thought to be produced by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation came from South Korea, which is relatively close to Northeast China; while the aircraft thought to be produced by China Chengdu Aircraft Corporation came from Manipur, India, and flew over the Himalayas and Tibet to reach Chengdu. So you can see that China sent out J-16 and J-20s to track them, but they failed to catch up.

I’m one of the top engineers in the CCP aviation development dept. this airplane uses traditional steam engine, preflight takes about 2 hours to get the boiler ready before take off.

dude.... i keep seeing this same comment everywhere i go! the only 6th gen project that US had got cancelled due to messy budget stuff (NGAD). america has no aircraft that (by looking at the chinese 6th gen aircraft airframe(it has no tail thus reducing the radar cross-section, so basicly more stealth and more place for weapons)) can match the capabilities of J 36.
but hopefully they bring back ngad project otherwise not only US the entire NATO tech will fall behind this new industrial giant. at this point they are more dangerous than Russia.
