This is isn’t a bad app I actually did like it unfortunately in my area of Eastern Iowa it doesn’t work with restaurants and grocery stores I did got almost $12 back i after two gas visits but since the start of this year stations by me are either just $0.01 off or not at all
Mindy! Just wanted to say THANK YOU on behalf of moms everywhere trying to feed our kids! I came across your channel desperate to find new meals that were easy, healthy and affordable to cook. And you delivered!!! I have watched many of your videos now, and I can truly say you are teaching me more about how to cook and grocery shop than I ever have learned on my own in the past 3 years of being married and having a baby!
I live in Sweden and I'm amazed on the packaging sizes you have! I understand that Costco and Sam's club is different from an ordinary supermarket, but they're huge! We only have school lunches (for free) so my kids doesn't bring any food to school, wich I'm very thankful for. It's fun to see what other people in other countries buy for food. Its exotic😂.
We have the same issue with the variety packs but I found out his teacher is spending her own money to have snacks available for kids who don't bring a snack. So if they're individually packed I send in the ones my family won't eat for the classroom snacks. (I also just donate snacks periodically).
I do this with the random items I get sometimes when I do pick up at Sams. For some reason they always add a weird item like a 24 pack of movie theater sour patch straws or sugar free fruit cups.
My husband is an elementary school teacher; I go to Dollar Tree and buy the knock-off versions of Goldfish and chocolate animal crackers along with snack size zip-top bags. Then I portion them out in 1/4 cup sizes for him to take for the kiddos.
It's so nice to hear that we are not the only parents that make their kids pack their own lunches! It's just a small thing to start teaching them responsibility early.
What a great grocery haul! Lots of healthy foods and treats. I do the same thing as you. When I get done shopping I buy a rotisserie chicken, and sides if they're reasonably priced. All the short cuts you give are so helpful. Plus you still have some indulgences. With all the work you do you deserve the reward!!
I had to pause the video to jump in before I forget....DRYER BALLS is the only way to go.....no static and no grease build up from the dryer sheets....been using them for a few years now and will never go back! Great haul.....I was impressed that your kids pack their own lunches, wish I had thought of that when my four went to school. We recently spent a week with my grandkids while their parents were away and learned that they packed their own lunch, it felt so weird for me to sit back and watch them do this so efficiently! I had no idea it was a thing!!! Love your channel, thanks for sharing!
I love these giant grocery hauls videos. They are so fun to watch! I don’t have any kiddos who are going to school yet but I’m gonna use some of these ideas in the future 😊
I have to do the same for my middle child (picky eater), we decide what days he will eat lunch at school and what days he will take his own. Works out great. 👍🏼 my other kids will eat lunch at school for the most part. And just take a snack.
This is Thursday. My daughter and I went to Sam's this morning. She had to stock up for her kids school year. Holy Moly! Let's just say she spent 5 times as much as me. Wow! But most of the items will keep through the first semester. I use to do the same when my 5 children were home. She has 2. I do not remember ever spending almost $500. Prices are truly different.
Not sure how I came across your channel but love watching your videos! You are so relatable and down to earth. Anyway, we moved last year to somewhere very rural and our only shopping option is a Walmart about 53 miles away. I’ve never been a Walmart shopper before now but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with most of their store brands. With the exception of a few. Also, I’ve tried various dryer balls over the years and have NEVER had any luck with them. I just use unscented dryer sheets.
Sorry meant to add that I saw in someone else's video ages ago that she keeps an inventory of her items in her freezer & checks off things she pulls out. I thought it was a brilliant idea and could be used for the pantry also so that you aren't buying more of what you don't need.
I've thought of this often, but living with other adults that also do their own meals and shared cooking, I've never implemented it. It's such a fantastic idea.
I appreciate so much that you use real food that is accessible to nearly everyone. Some channels really focus on specialty foods and it makes food prep a chore. I have 100% tried things you recommend (holla to Mr. Sticks spices- they are awesome) because you're suggestions are REAL and DOABLE.
Growing up the closest thing to individual portion treats were Little Debbies! We took them to the swim park. I have the wool dryer balls & love them, I've also noticed they help kick all the pet fur to the lint trap. I have the ones from Beekmans, they also have scent drops if you miss the fragrance.
I’ve been binge watching your videos the last few days to get some ideas for us on our budget and I just have to say I love the show and movie references you make! The reference to phoebe from Friends with the chocolate chips made me laugh. As did your “Clue” and “My Cousin Vinny” references in other videos. You are a gem!!
An epic shopping trip! I really enjoy USA shopping hauls to see what products you have that we don't have and what is the same or similar. Thank you for the video!
We homeschool but this is the time of year when all of our extra-curricula starts back. We are usually able to fix lunch at home, but dinner is a little harder at least 2 days per week. On Mondays our daughter will have orchestra (we will leave house at 5 I think) and on Wednesdays our daughter has drama. We leave the house around 12 and won't get back until about 430 (then we leave at 515 or 530 for church). So these two days will look different for us, especially since both of these are out of town. She also has piano lessons on Tuesdays at 2:00 but the lessons are only 5 minutes from our house, so it doesn't really pose a problem..lol Our daughter actually decided to start back July 5, so we've been in school for nearly 2 months. I do love that we have a little more of a routine once school starts back though.
Wow ! You should be set for a few weeks ! Don’t feel bad about reheating coffee, I make a full pot every morning and any leftover I put in mason jars and refrigerate it. We cannot taste any difference, and let’s face it, I use a ton of creamer anyway so it’s always delicious !!!! With prices the way they are I cannot just pour any leftovers out ! Thanks for sharing your amazing haul !
I am with you on the school lunches. I keep a bunch of “school only” individually wrapped snacks on hand to make it easier for the kids. My 12yo daughter actually loves to pack lunches so she packs hers and my 16yo son’s while I was the dinner dishes each school night.
I work at a school and my kitchen definitely looks different during the school year. I do more food prep and meal planning when I’m working. Especially at the beginning of the school year. It gets me off on the right foot!
We tried the dryer balls too, but we switched back to dryer sheets unscented. We still had static and it was not taking off any risdual pet hair. I definitely get better results with the sheets.
I went to Costco yesterday, still recovering 😂, left home around 9am got home around 4pm 😮, I bought provolone cheese and montaray (sp?) jack cheese, should of got the sharp cheddar was it, the dark orange one? I looked at it a few times but didn’t get it, darn it 😂, I’m in Australia and follow you and have bought some food from Costco on your recommendation 😊 I love that you have made your kids independent in regard to getting their own lunch, it makes it so much easier on you and your teaching your sons that women are not their slaves 😊.
Try calling your Sam’s store where you bought the chips, and ask the manager if you can return them or get something else in their place. There is a Sam’s 100 percent satisfaction guarantee on some of their products. Might just be products by members Mark...but worth the knowledge of finding out which products. If you explain how terrible the chips are, they might let you just bring them back.
We have started buying our meat and eggs at Sam’s because it’s the best price where we live! Also it goes farther! Love your channel! Have a great day! ❤️
Hi Mindy, there are just 2 of us, (we are old seniors) 👴🧓, we obviously don't have kids going back to school but I watched anyway, even though I won't be doing these things. I just love your channel and gotta watch all of them. But for parents that do, it was pretty good ideas. But you did remind me that I need to organize my fridge and pantry, which is not exactly my favorite thing to do.
I LOVE Dunkin’s Colombian coffee ☕️ it’s so smooth. I splurged not to long ago on the big container it was about $20 at Walmart & had no regrets. For me coffee is a must to get me through the stuff I gotta do so why not make it absolutely delicious , enjoy your coffee 😊 ps this was my favorite video 👍🏼
The olive oil at my Sam’s club is SUPER cheap!!! It’s a two pack and it’s cheaper then one can anywhere else. I’m surprised you don’t find more deals at Sam’s vs walmart. But a huge thank you to you bc I’ve been way better at looking at prices and the 60 eggs at Sam’s is $24 and at Walmart the 60 eggs is $11. Crazy different prices!
Hi, from Oklahoma here also! I got some Norwex dryer balls as a gift & I’m enjoying them. One thing I’m learning is to not over dry your clothes & that helps w the static. Drying too long especially with the wool balls will cause static. (For me) Otherwise…love them!
I also can't finish a pot of coffee in a day. I buy the coffee I like best and make a full pot every time even though I only drink a cup a day. To save the extra for later I portion into mason jars. You can add sugar/sweetner before sealing. I just tighten on the canning lids and give a quick shake before shoving in the fridge. Because they go in hot, it will seal and keep your coffee fresher. Just pull out 1 and have iced coffee or reheat. 🙂I get 3 ~8oz jars and 1 cup of coffee from my 5 cup coffee pot.
I have found that super-low-dose melatonin works best for me. I take 300 mcg (micrograms?). I have to order it from Amazon, but I love that it does the job and I'm not groggy in the morning. And...if I'm having a rough night, I can take a second one in the middle of the night and still not be groggy when I get up (I don't do that very often).
Mindy, I just found your channel on Friday and have enjoyed doing a bit of bing watching. I tried to do a few old, some new and some half way between. I do have a question (and apologize if this is in a video I may have missed), do you have a cookbook or recipe site where I can more easily document some of your recipe’s that you present? Thanks so much!
I don’t think the dryer balls help with the static, but I think they do help with dryer time. I’ve heard you can roll up foil into a ball and through that in to help. I use the unscented right now and usually only use half and it works. As far as melatonin, you can break it in half and reduce the amount. Your body can get use to it, so not good to take for a long time. Just take a break if you can. I can eat these foods,I have to stick to meat, veg and fruits (not to much) due to some gut issues I have. I do watch hoping for some ideas for my husband and son. I try to cook good fun food for them.🧡
Wow girl you did some shopping! Single person household here talking but I find quite a bit of things at Sam's that make it very cost-effective for me to shop there. I think the Member's Mark brands of over the counter meds are an extremely good buy. Costco has a lot of them as well but I have found that Member's Mark carries a greater variety of items so it kind of depends on your needs and which club you belong to. I do believe that it was the Costco brand batteries that are supposed to be made by Duracell and are the same as Duracell. Oh,I have been using wool dryer balls for quite awhile and they are great! I think you were really like them.I actually belong to Sam's Club and my next door neighbor belongs to Costco. That works out great for both of us because we can each reap the benefits of the both clubs with only paying for one membership a year each. I'm disabled so my neighbor does a lot of my shopping for me as it is difficult for me to get out and shop. The advantage for me is I give her a list and she doesn't end up with any impulse shopping for me so that's a great thing! Really saves me some money. I do buy a fair amount of dairy and frozen items at Sam's and I do find generally speaking they are the best prices I can find. The four packs of butter have always been a big hit for me as I have a small freezer and can store them but with inflation better prices I think along with a lot of dairy has really been fluctuating so you have to kind of watch and see on that one. I do drink half and half in my coffee and it is a great buy at Sam's Club compared to Walmart or other grocery stores. Oddly milk is more expensive at Sam's Club and Costco versus Walmart. I don't know if they just expect that people will grab it while they are at the warehouse club out of convenience or what but I've been watching that and Sam's is almost I think 80 cents a gallon more for milk then Walmart so unless I'm completely out and really need it, I will be waiting until I do my Walmart shops. I have the annual membership from Walmart for grocery delivery and that's what I use for the majority of my shopping. I got a deal of 18 months for the price of one year. Walmart overall has the best prices and with the annual fee it comes out to be more cost-effective because if I get delivery from Aldi it's through Instacart and even with their membership, the fees are a bit more than I'm willing to pay. I realize that if you do grocery pickup it's free at many stores but I don't like to impose on my neighbors for that since delivery is so readily available from multiple different grocery outlets. The one thing I think that has saved me the most money on groceries is shopping less frequently. I take a page from your book as far as every day that I avoid grocery shopping is a little more money in my pocket. It makes me use up what I have therefore less waste and I'm also delaying spending that grocery money. Being a single person, I have traditionally bought a lot of the easier things to make like Lean Cuisines and snack foods but their prices have increased as well so I'm really cutting back on that. I can make a sandwich just as quickly as I can pop a Lean Cuisine in the microwave and I'm not going to spend three to four dollars on a sandwich no matter how much lunch meat, cheese lettuce or tomato I put on it! The club stores can really be a great thing to save money but it's like everything else you really have to compare prices and watch out for what you like and what is on sale. My favorite coffee is the Green Mountain Caramel Vanilla Cream. Sam's Club has gone up in price by a couple dollars recently but it's still the best overall kcup price that I can find. I'm okay as long as I spend less than $0.50 a kcup as I only drink one cup of coffee a day unless it's extremely cold out and then I have a second cup. I try to watch for coffee deals this time of year but coffee prices have gone up so much that I wonder if there will be the deals this year. Anyway thanks for taking us along with you Mindy and I hope your kids have a great school year!
We use reusable K-cups!! Saves money and waste :) (and my favorite coffee doesn’t come in k cup form so it was the only way to not have to brew a whole pot every time)
Mindy I have a idea for you I have a 4runner and I have my big cooler in the back and when I go get groc. that are cold things I pack them in it with a bag of ice and I can run all my places then go home and everything is still very cold . saves gas too. I even have been to the groc at 6am and work all day and when I get home after 4pm and my eggs, meat , milk it all is still good.. I love my big cooler.
Thanks for pointing out the big croissant rolls are the same price as the smaller ones at Walmart! You posted a vid a while back that inspired me to try a couple different thigs with the croissants and they were both a big hit with the YA's, thanks!
I bought the dryer balls before, I don’t care for them, I don’t feel like they keep the static away what so ever. I hope it works better for you though. Not sure perhaps it has something to do with laundry soap or perhaps the items I am washing/drying.
We have the same rule about packaged snacks. It’s always more expensive when it’s in an individual package so they are always for school and practices.
Hey Mindy! Loved this haul! I really need to go to Sam's Club and grab that huge container of Reese's cups. And can't believe those doritos weren't good. You got so many things that gave me some great ideas for my daughter. And that caramel apple light and fit is my absolute fav! Hope you have a wonderful day!🥰
Have you noticed a change in the consistency and flavor of the honey maid graham crackers?? Also are they leaving residue in your mouth after eating?? We have had this issue with the last two boxes we bought. Great haul !!
Thank you for the reminder on upside . Have the app , but forgot , now that u reminded me of the name I’ll use it 👍 Great job having your kids make their lunches . My 12 year old is about to get served , “ get busy making your lunch this year “😉 Never really thought to freeze sandwiches .. but might be utilizing that as a morning time saver . Can’t wait to see your video for inspo on lunches 😊
I make yogurt, a gallon at a time. Look for making yogurt in a cooler. It’s super easy and saves us a ton. I use whatever fruit that’s in season to flavor it. Lasts like 4-6 weeks in the fridge.
Im typically not a dark soda drinker but the name and graphic pulled me in. It was an impulse buy for me too lol Dreamworld - I like it! It does have a fruity taste. I too appreciate the individual packaged items this time of year.
I was recently released from the hospital because I had a severe kidney infection, when I got discharged the doctor told me to drink lemon water everyday. I stopped on my way home and bought a bag and now I have a pitcher full in the fridge, as soon as it's empty I make another one LOL
I just bought some of those salad toppers on my last haul. I haven't tried them yet, and they reminded me of my sister's recipes for tuna salad and chicken salad. I had my Mindy vibe's going and thought... hmmm, I wonder if that could be a short-cut for my sister's recipes. Buying the dried fruits and nuts would have to be more money, so it seems like a good budget and efficient dupe.
On wool dryer balls....cut the dry time in half. If you over dry then static may form. At least that's been my experience. I had to adjust the dry time setting from what I normally used ☺
My mom puts them in with towels helps with the trying time that’s what she says. I have no clue about replacing them for dryer sheets. She will still put a dryer sheet with her towels even with the ball. I want to get the ball but want to get some Norwex instead.
I love that bucket of Reese's! I got the Sam's chicken tenders and they are great for a quick meal. I tried the wool balls for the dryer but did NOT like them. The cats are now playing with them. Great video!
The lunch meat at my Sam's is in those center coolers....the ones without the doors if that makes sense. I'm not sure how different yours is but I feel most places are the same roughly layout wise.
This may be strange, but I am an older college student, and our community college has free snacks and coffee available for the students in the study areas. Even the big kids appreciate free food.

Judy, thank you so much for those kind words! They are very encouraging because my mission for my brand is to be helpful in a kind and realistic way!
@@SeeMindyMom you nailed it! 😊

I do this with the random items I get sometimes when I do pick up at Sams. For some reason they always add a weird item like a 24 pack of movie theater sour patch straws or sugar free fruit cups.
I also noticed the BBQ was only a quantity of 6 to the quantity of 12 on the other two flavors.
I like the BBQ ones the best out of the mix tbh! 😂🤣

So true! I have a video coming out next week where I talk about this and how I organize my pantry/fridge to make this easier for the kids.
What a great grocery haul! Lots of healthy foods and treats.

I love these style videos! Grocery hauls are so much fun to watch!

Im so glad mandy recommend your channel.
Amen kids going back to school is a wonderful time of year.
We bought a 4 battery recharger, it takes all sizes batteries, had for years, saved thousands.
We have one, too. We still run out. I’m just being realistic about what works for us.
This is Thursday. My daughter and I went to Sam's this morning. She had to stock up for her kids school year. Holy Moly! Let's just say she spent 5 times as much as me. Wow! Not going to lie. I was just at Sams about an hour ago and that bucket of peanut butter cups almost came home with me. 🙂
I called my (adult) son over immediately to show him this video. Reese's is probably our largest impulse buy.
Listen…I thought about much longer than I should have! 😂
Still another week before school here!
The Wool dryer balls are great!

I also reheat my coffee that’s left in the pot from the previous day. My husband won’t he will just dump it out but it seems like such a waste!
Or in the summer I will fill up an ice cube tray and use them for iced coffees as to not dilute
Fabulous work- I was exhausted for you. You always have consistently great content. Your family is lucky to have you!

Oh, good deal! Thanks for letting me know!
Lemon juice has citric acid that helps keep kidney stones from forming. I drink a lot of lemonade!

I just got into making my own bread, does the bread box help keep homemade bread fresh longer?
The key to no static is not overdrying.

4.98! in Montreal, canada, walmart sell rosted chicken for 8.47 and 12$ in regular groceries

i love shopping at walmart
My kiddos loved the buffalo ranch doritos. So I do recommend those!
I purchased wool dryer balls months ago and I love them! They work really well! I purchased mine off Amazon.

I’m not a big ranch dressing fan BUT, the lighthouse brand is so delicious! And such a great deal at Sam’s.
I wish I had a Sams closer to me. I’ve been making homemade ranch for the last year and it is so much better than any store bought I’ve had.
The wool dryer balls are great for drying your clothes much faster at low heat. The balls keep the clothes lofty and separated so they dry quicker.
I use silicone dryer balls and I love them!!!! They work amazing.
I LOVE Dunkin’s Colombian coffee ☕️ it’s so smooth. I splurged not to long ago on the big container it was about $20 at Walmart & had no regrets.
This is the youngest of the 6 kids last school yr. (Hes a Senior.) Bitter sweet for this stay at home mom.
Oh, wow! Bitter sweet for sure! 🥲
You should try vanilla yogurt with dry honey nut cheerios.
I used to have a boss that had cereal in his yogurt for breakfast everyday. I think his preference was Fiber One.
I love Casey’s!! I remember when I moved back from Arizona seeing the first Casey’s was like a kid at a theme park 🤣🤣🤣
Never thought to use the bar keepers friend in my yeti! So excited to see how that works for my tumblers 🤞🏻
You can also freeze coffe in ice cube trays and use them in iced coffees instead if regular ice.
I try to cook good fun food for them.🧡
Yeah I have the wool ones and I find that they don't do much for static, which is something I wish I had paid attention to before I bought them, lol!
I like to drop a couple of drops of essential oils on my dryer balls and it completely takes the place of dryer sheets that way!
The Greek yogurt is cheaper in the large tub. We mix in jelly and add fruit and high protein granola for breakfasts...everyone eats it.
We buy the tub, too. I buy coconut flakes, mini chips and almond slices to dupe the Chobani Loco Chocolate Almond flavor.
When I buy apricot preserve it is specifically to add to my plain Greek yogurt.
Yes, but it’s not as convenient for my kids to pack in their lunches. Makes a huge mess.
I feel the same about the Clio bars. Love the key lime ones though.
Incredible haul, and considering you have a family of five I think you did quite well on the money you spent!
I opted for a little more convenience with the packaged things for lunches. I just needed some easy options for this busy season.
Great video Mindy!!!😀
Thanks for pointing out the big croissant rolls are the same price as the smaller ones at Walmart! You posted a vid a while back that inspired me to try a couple different thigs with the croissants and they were both a big hit with the YA's, thanks!
Just came across your channel and YES to all the things. As a family of 6 it seems to be getting harder and harder to shop on a budget.
Put some safety pins on the wool dryer balls to help with static
You got some great items. Enjoyed the haul
I bought the dryer balls before, I don’t care for them, I don’t feel like they keep the static away what so ever. I hope it works better for you though. Not sure perhaps it has something to do with laundry soap or perhaps the items I am washing/drying.
Love key lime I'll to check those out!
Hope you have a wonderful day!🥰
Thanks, Valerie! You, too! 😊
I have both the wool and silicone dryer balls. I prefer the wool ones
Have you noticed a change in the consistency and flavor of the honey maid graham crackers?? Also are they leaving residue in your mouth after eating?? We have had this issue with the last two boxes we bought. Great haul !!
Thank you for the reminder on upside . Have the app , but forgot , now that u reminded me of the name I’ll use it 👍
Great job having your kids make their lunches . My 12 year old is about to get served , “ get busy making your lunch this year “😉
Never really thought to freeze sandwiches .. but might be utilizing that as a morning time saver .
Do you find that you get more bang for your buck with powder laundry detergent? I’m always looking for ways to save money in my budget 😊
Mindy and family have a great day have fun thanks from Oklahoma
Thank you, Sherry!
The bacon cheddar ranch dip is delicious with the red white and blue tortilla chips!
Yes it is! don't ask me how I know...😏
Im typically not a dark soda drinker but the name and graphic pulled me in. It was an impulse buy for me too lol Dreamworld - I like it! It does have a fruity taste. I too appreciate the individual packaged items this time of year.
My sister said she thought it tasted “peach-y”
I love your videos and all the recipes plus I'm first
Thanks, Charlayne!
The individual chicken in that box is that frozen or fresh. Want to find it in my store
I was recently released from the hospital because I had a severe kidney infection, when I got discharged the doctor told me to drink lemon water everyday. I stopped on my way home and bought a bag and now I have a pitcher full in the fridge, as soon as it's empty I make another one LOL
I love lemon water. I need to make this part of my regular routine.
Hope you have a complete and restful recovery, Ann. 🙏
Oh my... that bucket of Reese's. I couldn't have it in my house. Reese's is my favorite candy bar.
sams club batteries are energizer costco is duracell
I just bought some of those salad toppers on my last haul. I haven't tried them yet, and they reminded me of my sister's recipes for tuna salad and chicken salad. I had my Mindy vibe's going and thought... hmmm, I wonder if that could be a short-cut for my sister's recipes. Buying the dried fruits and nuts would have to be more money, so it seems like a good budget and efficient dupe.
I like the cranberry almond one on a salad with vinaigrette.
The wool dryer balls work for me!
One and half weeks before back to school here in NJ
On wool dryer balls....cut the dry time in half. If you over dry then static may form. At least that's been my experience. I had to adjust the dry time setting from what I normally used ☺
The Member's Mark brand (from Sam's) broth base is so good!
Good to know!
My mom puts them in with towels helps with the trying time that’s what she says. I have no clue about replacing them for dryer sheets. She will still put a dryer sheet with her towels even with the ball. I want to get the ball but want to get some Norwex instead.
Have you tried the gouda Triscuit crackers??? OMGsh, instantly addicted, lol.
You need a salvage grocery! We get crazy deals like a case of big crescents for 3.99 and cases of premium yoghurts for $1.
Great video!
This may be strange, but I am an older college student, and our community college has free snacks and coffee available for the students in the study areas. Even the big kids appreciate free food.
