    - 2012 Spring Martinsville race where David Reutimann’s dying car makes it to pit road and it allows Jeff Gordon to beat Jimmie Johnson to earn Hendrick’s 200th win in NASCAR. As a result, Jeff versus Clint doesn’t materialize.
    - 2013 Fall race at Richmond where Clint Bowyer doesn’t spin on purpose & Ryan Newman wins the race (clinching him in The Chase) & Jeff Gordon enters as the last driver to qualify (edging out Martin Truex)... MWR doesn’t lose sponsorship in the fallout & is still a top NASCAR team.
    - 2013 Fall Talladega race where Austin Dillon doesn’t flip on the last lap & Dale Jr gets a last-lap pass on Jamie McMurray.
    - 2014 Fall Kansas race where Dale Jr. doesn’t blow a right front tire while leading the race and ends up winning the race & making the Round of 8.
    - 2014 Fall Texas race where Clint Bowyer doesn’t clip the wall with 2 laps to go and Jeff Gordon easily cruises to the win & clinches his way to Homestead.
    - 2015 Fall Kansas race where Joey Logano doesn’t punt Matt Kenseth and races him cleanly for the win & the rivalry never materializes.

Here is another one (this one is kind of a reach because of what actually ended up happening, but it is worth mentioning):
Dale Jr's engine blows up in the final sprint to the finish, and Denny Hamlin wins the 2014 Daytona 500, becoming the 1st ever driver in Cup history to win the Clash, the Duel race and the 500 in the same year
Imagine how much of a boost that would have been to Hamlin's legacy: coming back from an injury-riddled 2013 season, Hamlin starts off the new season by dominating all of 2014 Speedweeks. This, in addition to his other 3 Daytona 500 wins, would cement him as an all-time great as far as Daytona 500 success goes. Even if he doesn't win a title, Hamlin would be a first-ballot Hall of Famer off of his Daytona 500 success alone

He was REALLY close in 2017. If Adam Stevens didnt fuck up his strategy and stay out longer than he should have, he probably would’ve won the race. 2018 he just wasn’t fast unfortunately same as 2016. He was always in the final 4 though, so there was a very real possibility of him winning multiple in a row (17,18,19) or something crazy because he was always in the mix.

What about a list of forgotten/ letter known controversies that occurred during the 2010s? Like controversies that were big deals, but didn’t have quite the publicity of a spin gate. Since Im a Jimmie fan, I think of the what seems like forgotten restart controversy in 2013 with Jimmie Johnson at Dover. Montoya didn’t get going and Johnson waited, then went, but passed Montoya before the start finish line. He was black flagged, and didn’t win the race because of jumping the restart even though he had absolutely dominated it. This led to restart issues/controversies like Johnson again at Kentucky later that season, or leaders others, which led nascar to establish the “gieco restart zone”.

Jamie McMurray also could've gotten his final win in the 2018 Roval race. Blaney passed him for 3rd coming to 2 to go, and Jamie said after the race that he let Blaney go because his left side mirror had fallen off earlier in the race and he wasn't sure if the 12 was inside of him or not. If he was the one who stole the win instead of Blaney, it would've been his final win in technically the same event that he got his first win 16 years before.

What he isn't mentioning about the 2015 truck race at Eldora is that Bobby Pierce is a well known dirt late model driver, as was his father. He's no underdog... He was a ringer hired by MB for the Eldora race. It's no different than Cup teams bringing on successful road course drivers as ringers at Watkins Glen or Sonoma, which has been done for decades.

Here are three moments I could think of:
    3. Jeff Gordon winning his 5th championship in 2014. I know he could have won it if it wasn't for Brad Keselowski. I still think he should have been at least at five time champion, what could have been.
    2. Clint bowyer winning the 2012 NASCAR championship. Imagine him winning the championship for Michael Waltrip Racing, what it could have done for the organization if it did happen. Maybe they still be around today, maybe Martin Truex Jr. been a champion a lot sooner than he did. We would never know because of Jeff Gordon fault,he would never have another chance as he did that year ever again
    1. Martin Truex winning the 2018 NASCAR championship. Think about it, it would have meant that he had won back to back championship for Furniture Row, a underfunded team. Think about it, sure Alan Kulwick did also win a championship with a underfunded team but unlike him he had the chance to defend his title. It would have shown that they did deserve the championship and it wasn't just a fluke. They would been the first underfunded team to be back to back champions. Imagine what that could have meant for NASCAR. If only this thing could have happened. Like if you wish these things happen.

About the 2018 Roval, you forgot to mention how Almirola would have never made it to the round of 12, meaning the 4 SHR cars wouldn’t have been in the round of 12 AND the Round of 8. This could have potentially changed the outcome of Talladega, as I doubt SHR would have done what they did had there been only 3 cars instead of 4 still in the playoffs, and with a new winner the Round of 8 would have drastically changed, meaning it could also have affected the Championship 4. Crazy stuff

I understand BUT joey was trying to prove his worth as he was going to be released by Gibbs following 2012.
That race was either bump an icon out of a potential final victory and have a good chance at getting another quality ride the following year.
Or not bump Mark out of the way and give a vet another win as you fade into obscurity with either a lower team like Regan Smith or David reuttiman.
If I was joey yeah I'd have to bump Mark out the way.

For me, some of the biggest things, 2010 Atlanta Brad doesn’t get wrecked and what if Montoya ran down Kurt and get the open wheeler the oval win he deserved. 2011 Coke 600. 2011’s Montreal race sticks out to me, as Danica ran over a shoe with her car that was on track while she was leading. Imagine how things would have been if she had won a race in Nascar..... 2012 not sure? (From what’s already mentioned). 2013 what if Dale won the 500 then, or Danica get a top 5. What if Montoya holds off smoke at Dover 2014? What if Dale doesn’t blow a tire at Kansas while leading or wreck at Dega in the cut off race? (With the win at martinsville sending him to the final 4). 2015? What if Busch doesn’t break his legs? Or doesn’t get a waiver? What if Harvick got eliminated at Dover like he should have or not wrecked the field/Nascar throw the caution when Dale was ahead. 2016? What if chase won at Michigan in August? What if Dale was never injured again? What if William Byron’s engine holds out in the final 3 truck races and he wins his deserved title? 2017? What if chase won the 17 Daytona 500? What if Sadler eeks out a title in xfinity? What if Elliot holds off Hamlin 2018? What if Dillon never turns Almirola? What if Gallagher never parties like it is ‘99? Yeah what if Johnson doesn’t wreck out Truex at the roval but wins it himself? What if truex holds off Logano? What if Harvick never tips the FBI about DC Solar/Chastain finds funding for Ganassi for 2019? 2019? Idk? Maybe DiBennedetto wins? Maybe chase not eliminated when he was?

Damn 2015 sucked except for when Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr won, also I like Matt kenseth win at Bristol, would have been kind of funny if Jimmie won however, and if Gordon had won that would have been really cool too.
But everything else about 2015 sucks in NASCAR at least.
