Can you order a custom cutout that is reversed? The reason I ask is that I’m left handed and prefer my volume and wah on the left side of the pedalboard.
New to pedal boards and don’t know much about them I’m thinking about something like this or the boss case pedalboard. Can you tell me why someone would purchase this instead of something like the boss unit when this is almost twice the price and doesn’t come with its own power supply? Aside from being double tiered of course. I really want to make sure I choose wisely.
This is a professional solution based on the styles or rigs that we build. You can check out the process on rigs like this on our UA-cam page. Honestly, if you're just getting started, you probably don't need this yet. But I also wouldn't recommend getting any pedalboard with a built in supply. You're getting an inferior supply and aren't going to get something worthy of your pedals. I would look at our videos and see some power supply recommendations and maybe consider something more modular like a Pedaltrain until you know more about what pedals you like and fit your tastes.
Do you have the schematics of the TL2 riser with cut out by any chance? Just looking for the length from edge to cut out, and from other side of cut out to edge to see what pedals I have can fit. Thank you
It’s sold separately, you can purchase it in about six weeks when it releases, it will never be included with a Pedalboard but can be purchased as an add on.

What about what you carry it in ? "He used to carry his board in a gunny sack , slept beneath the trees by the railroad tracks". Own a Skb PS1 power , solid case all in one . Own 2 Pedaltrains that came with decent soft cases. Think you should discuss the options for cases and include the expensive Pelicans (that need foam ) that people use. Also while I got your attention . Has anyone else noticed the shortage of USED amps ? Wow . Every music store used to have mountains of them , not anymore.
We talk about that in the video and Sweetwater has a list of compatible cases that can be purchased with any of our pedalboards. Soft Cases for pedalboards aren't a professional solution and to make one that would last and withstand the weight of a pedalboard would be more expensive than most Pelican or SKB style cases.

I don't see the TE3 riser either. Also, I can't seem to find the tour compact board with the TC3 riser, it only shows the package for the TC1 riser, and only separate TC2/TC3 risers (without board).

You don’t need a cut out for the PBC10 cabling it already is designed yo clear that under the riser. See Emily Wolf’s pedalboard build and see what I mean.

I think you need to do a show on how to design a pedal board that's fit for purpose. I know everybody wants to look like Steve Vai or Joe satriani with a 6 ft board and 20 pedals but do you need it are you a gigging musician that plays out regularly and needs a pallet of sounds to cover the material? talk about how to conceptualize your board based on how you play and the sounds you'd like to make and maybe talk about compromises so you're not carrying around the entire kitchen sink that you rarely use.

Why didn't you make both Tiers magnet plates so all different types of guitar pedals can magnetically stick to your pedalboard without using velcro tape. If you want to use a wah pedal, whammy pitch shift and volume pedal off to the side of the pedalboad that would require 3 Aux loops to patch in at different points in the routing. I think you call them Aux Loops or something else

They should sell magnetic tape or thin sheets to put on the bottoms of the pedals which will Snap good to the magnetic tiers on the pedalboard so you don't have to use velcro anymore. Plus if you want to use a wah, volume pedal, whammy pitch shifter on the side of the pedalboard would need 3 AUX s/r Ports which is a total of 6 jacks going to different routings points which would be a wiring mess. Any other thoughts about using a wah, volume pedal, whammy pitch shifter pedal next to the Right side of the pedalboard that will clean up the wiring without having 6 cables going back and forth to the AUX ports to the pedalboard?
@@VertexEffectsInc CAE Sound Peter Miller & John Cutler claim that you can't use 500 ohm pots for Humbuckers or 250ohm pots for single coil pickups for a Buffer to work correctly. The Pot value needs to be changed to a 25 ohm pot for the buffer circuit and have to Bypass the guitars volume pedal when the buffer circuit is turned on. What I think Peter Miller and John Cutler are saying is when using a buffer you have to bypass the guitars volume pot and go directly to the buffers input stage and then adjust the buffers preamps volume to unity gain. If you try to keep the 250K ohm pot in a strat and turn it up and down with a buffer guitar pedal its not going to work correctly because of the 250k ohm impedance to 0 ohm impedance range is not going to a good "Dynamic Range" and input sensitive range on the buffer circuit. I have noticed on most guitar buffer circuits when turning down the strats volume to 8,7,6,5,4, it doesn't have that Dynamic Range and sensitive range. I know Yngwie Malmsteen calls this you're cutting off the guitars Nutts when adding a buffer to your guitar. This is a major issue when using buffers but CAE sound Peter Miller and John Cutler claim they have fixed this problem, not sure if this is true or not.

This is the cost of metal now, about 30% up from this time last year, add in USA made, high quality features that aren't present in any other pedalboards and it adds up fast.
Come on, the price is too much higher that mk1 for good but small improvements. If I knew I would have bought the previous version while I could. I'm not gonna spend all that money on a pedalboard.
The MKI would have gone up very close the MKII price if it were still in production. The cost of metal rose almost 30% in the last 6 months and also metal is now rationed, meaning that suppliers can ransom it to the highest bidder since there is limited supply. Unfortunately this is the cost of doing business, making a USA product, to the highest quality - if I could make it for less and not loose my shirt, I would.
Just build your own board for practically no money with shelving pine and a few screws. It cost me $17 total and I built a custom board for 18 pedals that’s way better than any of these overpriced pieces of garbage.

You can mount a Small Power Supply there, Cioks DC4 or 1 Spot CS-6.

you can mount it, it will effect the order but the labels are all there so you know what's what.
How does that power module mount to the frame? Holes to screw into?
The TL2 or maybe even TC2 looks like it would fit on my Pedaltrain Novo 24. Any info on using with existing pedalboards?(If that is an option)
Nope, it'll fit but we don't recommend it and don't provide retrofit instructions.

I’ve got this massive Boss Volume pedal. I don’t recall the model off the top of my head, but will the riser cutouts work for the massive pedals?
The FV-300 and FV-100 (the largest Boss VP's ever made) will fit on our new 3 and 4 series risers. FV-500 should fit on all of them as they are now.

If you don't power the interface, can you use all the inputs as just a passive patchbay? Say if you're already using a switcher with buffers.
No, the interface needs to be powered and the buffers are always active

What if the pedals, like most, are aluminum? Outside or any sensitivities that’s another problem. The Velcro is a more universal solution.
