I suspect they would sell more bikes with a redesign, those are not pretty bikes. A modern retro café with a full fairing that resembles the race bikes from the mid to late 60s, but sealed like Tupperware, to cover the batteries and electronics, of course. I think you know what I mean. Edit: A Belgian chap did a super soco café racer conversion, and it's an enormous improvement. It's easy to find with any search engine.
Good review, not biased and fair. Whether we like it or not there aren’t many options to the combustion engine for bikes and for commuting within a city or conurbation this makes sense. I still prefer combustion but that’s what I’ve been brought up on!
I'd love one of these to commute in the city. Keep my 750cc for the weekend fun. Issue is the price of them, its just not worth it over a 125cc petrol.
I see this as mainly an urban bike, where it would make a lot of sense. If you want a bike to go further afield and explore country roads then someone like a Grom, Dax or Monkey bike would make more sense and be more fun.
Was that from Davey Brothers shop along Felixstowe Road in Ipswich, it certainly looks like that area if memory serves me correctly? I know they stock electric and petrol bikes and scooters.
As a current Super Soco TS Hunter Pro owner it was interesting to watch. Thanks. How sure are you with regards servicing schedules you quote - initial service 600 miles, then annually/ every 2200 miles? My dealer told me it was 500 miles and 2000 miles respectively.
They would have done yes because they would want the servicing done before the mileage comes round as a lot of people tend to go over their mileage for servicing which then can void their warranty. Also mileage for servicing tends to be in km so a lot of dealer guestimate.
Yeh, yet again the manufacturers lied about the 60 mph so you can guarantee they also lied about range which at 60 miles wouldn't be a selling point it needs to be 80 mph over taking speed on a motorway and range needs to be 120 minimum and I mean 120 miles not 100.
Excellent review. I am interested about this bike. What is your opinion on using it with a passenger? Can it handle 2 persons with a combined weight of 140-150 kilos? City roads and country roads...
I believe it will but it will hinder the range and speed. I think 50mph might be a more realistic speed and you could probably take the range down to 35-40 miles at that speed.
Pretty much the same power wise, however a big advantage is the 2 smaller batteries rather than the 1 big one in the TC max. Max is belt driven which is quite expensive to replace, the new TS pro is hub drive. Different looking, I feel the TS pro is better looking. New digital dash, Max has the round analogue style display.
@@motorsforthemassessee that the one thing I feel the tc max has this beat like say it rain and I don’t have a garage right now I will be removing the battery to charge at a flat removing two would be a hassle but I really on board with ev and want to start my motobike journey on them unless there a small water resistance I probably be getting the tc max mainly riding inside London my range to work is only 12-20 a day
@@motorsforthemassesthe new screen and you can charge your phone so you do have some sort of nav is good I may wait for a bit more of your review comparison to decide but looking like the tc max for me
It looks like electric motorbikes are starting to make sense. Certainly more affordable but I would have hoped for 60 mph if it's going to tempt me away from my Honda Vision as my daily ride. My BMW 1200 GS has now been replaced with an ADV350, and there is no electric equivalent for that yet. Hopefully the next 5 years will see some really useful and affordable electric bikes. Thanks for a great review.
Have you seen the Zero DSR/X? An adventure bike 180 mile range, 110mph, 1 & 1/2 hour fast charge but £21k. They do an A2 version too and a 125 CBT equivalent version also for £16k that does 86mph and a range of 145 miles.
The colour cheapens it. The side view of the headlamp reminds me of old woman's chest. Design lacks flair. I'd have just styled it more like a Voge 300 or the Suron which looks loads more exciting
@@motorsforthemasses Who is it aimed at ?, youngsters want speed, it's slow even at 60 (59) Doesn't look good at all (In my opinion) Really electric bikes like cars are just not setup yet for UK
@@The_Arby I'm a petrol head through and through. For those who want electric...this isn't far off. Most 125's now seem to be sold to 40+ aged people who want something smaller, lighter and they are happy potting around at 50mph... there may well be a market for this one.
@@motorsforthemasses Iam in my 60's and just returned to biking, starting off with a Honda Forza 125, i really wouldn't buy that, if i did, id buy a Zero bike which is alot better, ok more expensive too 🙂
They need a version that can go 80-85 mph with a 100 miles of range.
Zero, which will cost you around 30 grand.
@@nicknelson9450 People are so funny, they want it all but don't wanna pay for it
So, it's the weight of a Grom, slightly less top speed than a Grom and only slightly less money than the Grom 🤔 I'll stick with a Grom 😌 👍🏻
I bet the groms much more fun.
@@RogerClay-g6w it sure is 😃👍🏻
Same with my Dax
Or atleast a lexmoto 125 cc with 70mph top speed

60mph ??? lets not talk about the elephant on the road. your muscles holds the bike back 😅😂🤣

Thanks Mark. Does the SOCO come with regenerative battery braking on the rear hub? Does it act as "engine" braking?
Far too quiet.
I didn't notice any regen
Interesting, this one seems like it would work if you had an extremely specific use case and needed absolutely nothing more.

@motorsforthemasses I have. VMOTO service schedule that documents the same mileage - 500 then every 2000 miles.

It's the TS Hunter Pro not Hunter Pro TS... just saying 😀
How tall are you? For reference
I did say in the video.
Pants
Trousers
another toaser on wheels
It's not interesting...It's a complete waist of money 😞
Can I ask why you think that?

electric bicycles make sense electric motorcycles dont
I wouldn't have an electric car let alone a electric motorbike,
Don't fancy having the bloody thing explode between my legs while riding it.
Gross 🤮
No way. Bloody electric rubbish!
