New N-scale railroad, part 13; stacked backdrops

- In part 12, I started framing up the area at the top of the upper helix. In this installment, I'll deal with the stacked backdrops where the scenes overlap, and also frame up the curved section that goes above.
Check back each week and watch the project grow.

Your track plans are first rate, Your bench work is amazing! The thing that gets me you build the the bench work to come apart for shipping. Wish I could afford you for a track plan.
Thank-you. Glad you enjoy watching me work.
Dear Peter, it’s so very interesting to see this model railroad develop. Hats of for the complicated construction. Absolutely love the cantilevered supports on the backdrop’s support structure for the second deck. Such a great way to create full visibility on all levels. Cheerio
It's just a double-sided version of the system I designed for the K&SV build, using ideas modified from those presented by Ondrew Hardigan of modelrailroadbenchwork.com
I'm just in AWE in all the work you do....😮
Nice engineering Peter - way over my head 😄
I was expecting "I went to Lowes this morning and they were delivering before I got back to the house" 🤣
That happened at Menards in Marquette MI a couple of times while I was a general contractor up there.
The new workshop build might've taken a bit longer than planned (dodgy builders lol - did it get resolved?), but I think the ultimate benefits of the new workshop are fully realised in watching this video - room to complete a single layout build with all of the complexities of framing curves and overall dimensions without the need to compromise the build in having to construct a section or two at a time (know you did that in the past and did some work on making extra space in the old one). A great build as ever Peter.
that will never really be resolved, although he will do serious prison time, preventing him from doing it to anyone else.
Your ability to do detailed design in 3-D, without using full CAD software, is amazing. I'd be building totally wrong stuff all the time. Well, actually I do - but its Lego so I can rebuild when needed. 🙂
I think that's the main attraction of Lego - build and rebuild forever.
I love your work, but the thought of all that slippery sawdust does my head in. At my age I use sweeping up as warmup before working. Please stay sure footed.
I only pick up the critical areas. The more time I spend cleaning, the less work I can get done in any given time period.
Stunning work Peter! A marvellous piece of engineering. When completed, what will the total track length be?
I haven't measured it.
I didn’t see in any of the comments is this n scale based on anything in real life the cities or the Woodlands area or anything like that or is it all going to be fantasy like . It’s a big set up Peter good Lord there’s a lot of trains going to be running on here, huh more than three or four.
All those questions are answered in the design video - see the play-list.
@@mpeterll yes I went back and saw that cool
Incredible work!!
In Winslow, will there be a girl in a flatbed ford??
(Had to ask)
🤪🙂
There will be a street corner for that scene, but that will be for the customer to build.
@@mpeterll Definitely!👍🙂
