I just discovered your channel! I’m a mom of a 15 month old boy and I just want to say that it’s TOTALLY okay for your little man be dependent on a sound machine!!! If my son is tired enough, he can fall asleep without it, but a sound machine has been life changing for us! We can have people over after bedtime without having to worry about our voices waking him up, and we are in university ministry so it’s kind of a necessity to be able to open our home to the college students day and night. White noise is really great for newborns because it reminds them of the womb. Don’t fear the sound machine, it’s been my lifesaver! Congrats on the upcoming babe, being a mom to a little boy will change your life in the best best way 🥰
We bought like 4-5 different types of bottles and our first son wouldn’t take any but the dr browns….I pumped for 6 months and that’s what I would suggest trying out too, also swaddles was our go to made our baby sleep very very good 😊
Okay so I’ve used both the Boppy and My Brest Friend nursing pillows and the My Brest Friend is by far better than the boppy and it’s lactation consultant recommended!!! The boppy tends to be soft and the baby falls into the middle more and it’s just not supportive whereas the My Brest Friend is very sturdy but still soft and it has a clip around the back to help with positioning. My Brest Friend nursing pillow all the way!!! Also, Dr. Browns bottles are great and have the anti colic thing in them!!! And get a breast pump for free through your insurance!!! I’m 4 months postpartum and still learning so much girl!! I’m so excited for you!!
I loved the dr browns as well but recently had to move with the comotomo bottles and the tommee tippee. The dr browns just were too much with all the attachments.
Mama to two here! I highly suggest water wipes! They are super saturated and you don’t use near as many wipes when cleaning up a mess! So they are a bit pricey but they last a LONG time! Also the dove baby calming lotion is AMAZING!!!! Our all time favorite and super sensitive for baby’s skin! Also the best pacifiers are the Ryan and rose bulb pacifiers they are super easy for the baby to keep in there mouth while sleeping. Also the tommee tippee and comotomo bottles are the absolute best! They mimic the breast so they’re great for breastfed babes!❤️
Currently expecting my first as well! I used to work in a daycare and the Comotomo baby bottles were really good. The bottle part is silicon and as the kids got older they were able to easily grip the bottle themselves.
Hey Chole. I don't know if you have a doula for and during your pregnancy but I encourage you to look up a Christian doula in your area. They share lots of information about pregnancy and help during and after birth.
@@maleenkreibich Yes. Her mom can help with lots of information. I was just suggesting a doula for help with breathing and birthing positions. She can always find these things out online. I still would encourage Chole to look at what a doula can offer. :)
We loved our Owlet and still use it... it was such a peace of mind after our NICU stay. You can always check it when you're away. If my husband is working out of town he can open the app and she the rates and check in. My husband swears by the boppy (not the boppy lounger) it help him and baby be more comfortable and helped while he was feeding (as we did bottle feeding.) Also HATS! I didn't realize how much we would have our baby in hats. We also used mittens, our baby kept them on but my sister used socks with her girls. They have little talons and can scratch thier faces while sleeping.
I wanna just note that if its just normal church “loud” you should get baby used to that not try to block that out. You want baby to be able to sleep through everyday life. Now the drumming i understand just for loud talking and stuff its best to not try to shelter him from that! Trust me you’ll be thankful later when baby can sleep thru vacuuming and random loud sounds like that.
