I fuckin love this !!! EMDM is my favorite album and has the vibes. When Manson is hurt he makes his best art. Btw you look like Brandon Lee in the Crow. My first-time on your channel and just subscribed.
I interpret it as he’s embracing his demons rather than becoming born again. He’s referring to the demon he doesn’t rid of: ‘But the beast is calling for us and slowly assuming control’, ‘I built this cage we've been trapped in together, Can't remember where I hid the keys.’ Then the demon is addressing him back (fitting with the lower tone whispering voice he portrays it in of: I was never your taxidermy, I'm sewn into your soul, Keep sleeping, I'll make you dream of me. Further affirmed that in the video we see portrayals of demons behind him on the line ‘keep sleeping, I’ll make you dream of me.’ Visually in the video we also see the first scene is of Lucifer along with a painting depicted of him in Manson’s own artworks laid around him, lots of one eyed symbolism/along with darkening one eye. 👁️ There’s a lot of other things like the song lyrics surrounding a crucifix and a book about The Sacrifice of the Mass.
I agree just like the new Eminem album creates a perfect fusion of Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers because he learned how to tame his demon an integrate it
@@schumannbeing We share the same opinion in how you’re also interpreting the parallel, but where my opinion differs is I actually don’t view the demon as symbolic/an archetype (and neither does Manson) as it’s evident he practices witchcraft/views Satan as a very real entity, so the demon he’s referring to is something he’s legitimately/willingly conjured.
