I still have my deadbolt I bought 1 year ago. But it it doesn't look like a deadbolt anymore. It has a proline cherokee body, hand made metal links, scx102 grill with working lights. Steel beadlocks with proline swampers tsl tires. The rest is all stock electronic servo except shocks which are the scx10 icon shocks.
So cool with all the custom work you do that this was so new to you it was a awesome unboxing. You made a good choice with this Axial looking forward to you breaking this down to your standards. thanks for your time.✌I would be very interested in buying that body from ya!
I'm a big fan of the Vaterra Ascenders as well. Good rigs out of the box. Metal links, adjustable frame. Watching your vid has me looking at rc4wd rigs now. What's your favorite rc4wd model?
I have had all but the lwb tf2. My favorite is still the regular old tf2. It's so versatile. I'm sure the lwb is the same just longer, the swb tf2 is near but very limited for bodies.
Recommend you beef up transmission weak top gear and idler gear mine striped was just crawling fell over and striped gears 50.00 for all metal or 9.00 13.00 for plastic just thought I let you know keep up those killer builds
Double up the steering link to make stiffer without buying new. Soak the tires in acetone. 30 minutes they are off. Don't boil or heat them. Just soak and massage.
Ik this is an old video. And no one will prob see this but. What shells can i put on this? I have busted my old one. Like what will i look up to find shells to fit this rig cause the stick that you put the pins into to hold the shell can be lifted and lowered soo any shell? Thanks
I think the wheelbase is the standard 13.3" If you plan on keeping the roll cage, I know proline had some bodies specifically for it back in the day, but any standard crawler body could be made to fit it easily. You possibly could even still find one of these original bodies on ebay.
i think the deadbolt is a perfict rc for your first axial

have a fun build man!
The AE5 speed controller is pretty nice. Adjustable drag brake and NMH or Lipo batteries. Supposed to be water proof as well.
Nice unboxing
Good things come to those who wait
That TTX300 is actually pretty good. I've submerged one of mine in water a couple times, still ticking. I like that they're cheap.
Don't feel bad man I got off work at 10pm last night and had to be back at work at 6am this morning lol
I just used tennis balls cut in half with a hacksaw for course markers, they're cheap and durable.
this car is amazing, how much is it??? I own an Axial Yeti in 1:18!!!
The radio is ok for what it iis I have the Honcho and a wraith same radio mine are no longer stock but the radio works well
I do also have a gelande 2 I just bout a month ago.

Axial bring back the Honcho dammit!
You should get an scx10 II
That esc is waterproof and can run 2-3 cell lipo
Scx10 II kit has two speed
3D RC. I agree have that on both my rigs they are pretty dang good
What are going to do with the bodie

@@RCeveryday ok thank you. So on theses sites im on and it sayin that i fits a trail honcho even tho this is a deadbolt will it fit?
It should, the base chassis on them was the same.
@@RCeveryday ok, thank you so much.
@@RCeveryday one more question. What would be a good, long lasting battery for this thats a decent price?
And the drive shafts are very beefy for plastic
Rc everyday you should chop that body and cage up and make a rat rod out of it
That controller will run forever without running out of battery
id drive it for awhile there not to bad
11:00 MOA's are for cheaters in my opinion. lol
