- You’re gonna have some questions after the new segment in today’s episode. Only one man has the answers. His name is Travis, and also when we said he has the answers, that’s actually not gonna be true a lot of the time.
Suggested talking points: Laughter and Love Challenge, Cole Slaw Juice, Brutalist Cup Design, Pizza Box Repair, Travis Takes a Big Swing at a New Bit, RIP Nut, Sky Pipes
I feel Travis intentionally structures his bits to see how much rage he can elicit from his brothers.
He wouldn't be the middle brother if he didn't.
That's why he is my favorite.
Griffin stating that Justin's raisin joke filled his life with Laughter and Love is the brutal sarcastic energy that really brings me into 20-Funny.
same energy as griffin's sarcastic, uproarious laughter in the iconic "ol' two take justin" bit
in retrospect, 20-funny is an absolutely inaccurate nickname
I'm starting to like this recurring theme of Justin trying to be as discrete as possible when cracking a cold one.
@Wyatt Harrah I actually had the opposite thought, this one wasn't as good as the last one, but when Travis said "Let the big dog hunt" In the last one I died. GROWL BIG DAWG!
I love the idea of Travis brainstorming the worst bit he could possibly think of and defending it so valeantly knowing it's awful
I like how Travis' explanation of "Play Along At Home" is mostly just him repeating the phrase "Play along at home" over and over.
If Bernie Sanders wins, all that cole slaw juice is gonna be free. Now THAT'S scary.
A well reviewed comment
I respect Justin for just coming out and saying he doesn't know *what* coleslaw actually is, and I am with him.
had to actually google it xD
It’s.... cabbage and.... carrots? With... spices? Mayonnaise...? Is there egg in there??
@@peachmuffin143 Mayo is technically egg, so kinda. It's got sugar and vinegar in it too.
As I have learned from their occasional sponsor Blue Apron, slaw (or coleslaw for long) is just any wet cabbage-based salad.
the fact that mr peanut’s death implies the mortality of _food mascots_ makes me feel feelings that both confuse and frighten me
The recurring can opening bit is my favorite thing of twenty funny
I'm amazed this episode isn't called HOMEOPATHIC SLAW
the mere CONCEPT of "cole slaw juice" makes me want to retch
Two references to the trappings of capitalism, one reference to brutalism, one reference to eating the rich, one reference to undrinkable water. Now these are some good boys.
I'm so freaking proud
My Comrade My Comrade and me
@@ComradeAussie
YES
I, personally, laughed very hard at the suffering Justin and Griffin went through during play along at home
Lauren Sawyer god same it was so good
That’s the wild thing how does Travis keep getting me to laugh at things that aren’t funny?? Like??
@@anthonyb4479 travis is really, really good at two select types of comedy: 1) puns, and 2) goading his brothers into having hilarious reactions to his bullshit. see: not only play along at home, but also riddle me piss
Travis is an agent of chaos, and sometimes that means demolishing his brothers’ efforts at humor with a showstopping non-joke segment. This is why he is my favorite.
what am i playing along to i’m scared
hearing trav speak first was a TRIP
not gonna lie, triggered my fight or flight a little bit
same here-
had me worried there for about minute ngl
Yeah... I'm pretty good at distinguishing their voices, so my brain had a wild ride with this one!
I figured Justin was sick and Travis was covering the intro for him, until he said “Sorry boys” and I instantly got whiplash out of sheer confusion
Travis wanted to make a segment of interactivity.... on their webshow.... about people writing in questions for them to answer?
I think you missed part of the joke. As in... all of it.
@@DemonLordSparda I was pretty sure it was a joke until I got halfway through the segment and got increasingly concerned at which parts were supposed to be the joke and which parts were really a set up for a new segment
@@ScottDavid7 It's all a joke. It's kind of part of the role for Travis. Being bad at humour is kinda his character on MBMBAM
Yeah it's great!
you have great taste in podcasts and music my guy 🔺️
A lot of bad things are happening in my life rn, but a mbmbam episode always makes me feel better :) Thank you boys ❤❤❤
I'm sorry to hear that too.
May your life soon be filled with love and laughter 💖 until then you have at least an hour a week where this is true! Hope it gets better.
@Tom Isaac Thank you kind stranger, sending kind thoughts your way 🌠🌠🌠🌠
@@Molscheira Thank you so much! Sending positive vibes your way 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
Sorry you're going through a rough time. Hope things get better soon

Travis seeing Pirates of the Caribbean 9 times in the theatre is some real ADHD shit
The way Griffin shouts “THAT’S BRISK BABY” at 11:02 is up there with some of favourite MBMBaM moments.
this episode has a lot of chaotic energy
ngl, I completed cracked up at "Assaulting" Mr. Peanut's Memory. I can't believe that wasn't planned!
Ok, but in all honesty travis’ Empire State Building question came so far out of left field for me that I literally collapsed on my floor laughing.
I'm just here to bring attention to trav's "donut november" joke
timestamp?
@@vidiia 35:30 also yes that was unappreciated
this is how bernie can still win
Thank you boys, for filling my life with laughter and love
"Fish see nothing"
.... we know more about the SURFACE OF MARS THAN THE DEPTHS OF OUR OCEANS, FISH SEE EVERYTHING
Travis’ heat and energy in this episode is astounding. Charging forward with confidence !!! I like that Travis.
im so grateful for the mcelroy brothers
I’m in love with “Play Along At Home.” This is my endorsement. I want more and I can’t be alone.
What if Kirby inhaled a horse
He would gain the power to exude majestic, powerful energy every time you pressed "B"
He would get anger 2
his skull would get _real_ long _real_ quick
I think he would be like a centaur but instead of a human torso/head itd be just be kirbys round friendly little face on a big horse body
griffins tiny giggle at 11:46 is so cute
I’m gonna come out and say that Travis was on point this episode goof wise. Good shit middle man
Christ. I would like to apologize for...just...all of Ohio. I am very glad it made Justin and Sydnee laugh. Most days it just makes me want to cry until my eyes bleed, then spontaneously combust.
I don't know what the profit margins on slaw are, but where I work, most of the cost of the things we sell is in the packaging. Literally. You think you're buying a fountain drink? No, you're buying a cup, I just put soda in it, like I'm doing a favor for you. The soda is practically free, it's the CUP that we gotta keep inventory on, that's what all the accounting is based on at the end of the day.
So if this lady wants some of that lettuce-y bogwater, she should bring her own cup. I can accommodate a lot of weird requests from customers, but if they want to use our cups then they got to pay our prices.
That's also exactly the same reason why water cups are so small, because most of the time they aren't even part of the stock, they aren't something we need to order in 400-cup crates, they're just plastic cups that the boss buys at Sam's Club every couple months. And because of that, we can give those out for free, no problem. Take one, take a dozen, nobody cares. Just don't fucking touch the stock.
I work at a deli, and now I want to chug the Coleslaw Juice and smash capitalism
DO IT!!!
Travis needed 2 kids to go full dad.
I enjoyed Playing Along at Home and Griffin and Justin can huff my shorts
Travis is amazing, I loved the Play Along at Home quiz.
Don't you monsterous boys take away the new segment, I require travis to entertain me with his various trivia questions.
26:42 Is when the Play Along at Home starts
thank you this is my fav segment
Doing the Lord's work
Griffin screaming at Travis with the biggest lol these idiots have gotten outta me - unhinged out of his mind Griff has some real Alex Jones energy and I can't handle that
Cole slaw juice: is it soup? Seems like it
Mara Moon what a terrible thing to say
@@zacharywood9416 I've got one worse: Hot Cole Slaw Juice
This was a fantastic episode!
Travis is hilarious and was in great form in this episode. Looking forward to more of this energy from him going forward!
Smash capitalism
Cold slaw juice is making me continuously gag and I hate it
Cole slaw. I thought it was cold slaw too.
"Apples... and thyme"
"That sounds gross."
Sibling humor is fucking brutal
If Bernie becomes president, the cole slaw would be free.
if the water drawn out from the cabbage in slaw is broth, then I'm 60% cool boy broth (TM TM TM TM)
I think the worst part is that she couldn't just MAKE the coleslaw herself.
P.S. They already make jarred dressing to add to your own cabbage so someone already invented it. :/
20:47 Justin's first big soda rip of 20 Funny. Crisp!
53:00 ish griffin just reinvented aqueducts???
I'm always unreasonably sad whenever I hear the intro, because I can never be a cool baby...
Birthday episode, woot!
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday!!
I do want to say that I enjoyed Play Along At Home
I have both the Garfield movies on blu-ray, sooooooooooooo...
Travis, I loved playing along at home
20:47 oh my god for some reason this shit made me laugh SO HARD. Fuck guys glad to see you back, here's to 20funny and cracking open a cold one with the boys!

Play Along At Home: Let's Never Do This Ever Again ™
i fucking cried laughing at "play along at home" holy shit travis that was genius
22:46 Sonic sells “RT44” drinks with, you guessed it, 44oz of whatever you want, short of ice cream products. I don’t remember if that includes floats and slushes, but I cannot describe to you the abject horror of realizing it is five minutes until happy hour, and you don’t have six sleeves of RT44 cups up front. You will not believe how busy Sonic gets in the summer between happy hour, Half-Off Shakes (if you go to sonic during this time every employee is cursing you unless you tip well or have a dog), and specials. Working at Sonic took decades off of my life and made me hate myself for $9 an hour plus tips. However, I did once see a car in the drive through with a cat in it, which almost made everything worth it.
This episode was EXTREMELY brisk and challenging.
Hearing the brothers say my name for so long tripped me up LOL
is it #twentyfunny or #20funny? because i like the second one
Second. 100%
#2inTFun-e
I need more of this "play along at home" stuff, I laughed in the middle of math class and I prefer that over algebra.
Go Fact Yourself got nothing on Play Along at Home :/
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Felt really engaging.
Justin popping cans is my favorite new bit
Man, the Facebook group REALLY hated this episode and I can't work out why, I loved it
someone please animate the whole of the sink pizza box question
And the play at home segment.
The way travis said penut butter just kills me
bada ba ba ba, i’m laughter and loving it. mcdonalds
20:07 we could let the nozzle run for a minute before putting our cup under.
Me: *petting my cat*
Travis:"Welcome to our home. I was about to answer questions with my brothers, Justin and Griffin. Why don't you play along at home."
Me (for some unexplained reason): *jolts up and turns to look at phone across the room* Back off, heathen!
"were gonna smash capitalism and chug the coleslaw juice, baby!" fucking impeccable quote
With the water cup thing there is a cost to the cups. You paid for the soda you can have the more expensive cup. You didn't pay for water so here is the cheaper cup. The cost is negligible for a single person but if you multiply It by 300+ orders a day across multiple locations it becomes a way to lower expenses. Definite big capitalist energy though.
the boys reinventing the concept of gray water
at 7:30 i was listening to travis and i was like whats my favorite dad joke... then he starts saying it...also paul mcartney says it in pirates IV...
edit
28:50 pirates V
A segment for the ages, boys.
im having a shite day and so are the mcelboys in the opening but they are still improving my mood.
I make Cole slaw at Red Lobster I work at and its like a mixture of salad dressing, mayonnaise, and vinegar
honestly, I love to play along at home
Broke: Ship of Theseus
Woke: Bowl of Coleslaw.
47:00 you must have just drawn it--I hope--because if you have had this ability this entire time and *this* is where you say this time no farther **looses it**
Who TF is Cole and what's with his Slaw? Who looks at a salad and thinks "you know what this needs? Mayonnaise"
The British
I like Travis's segment X3
Get the slaw juice, dump it and fill the slaw juice cup with water .2 problems solved
Vinegar, mayo, parsley, Greek yogurt
Ya gotta make sure you cook it with the vinegar and chill it with the mayo and Greek yogurt
Travis joke was so good- I enjoyed it.
I liked "Play Along at Home"
True brothers: stop mid sentence to shame the other for opening a drink
That's been a really slow burn, huh, brothers?
This episode was sponsored by postmates, what happens after checkmate? Postmates!
coleslaw juice for the anarchist's soul
I am also confused about what exactly cole slaw juice is. It's mostly mayonnaise and a little bit of vinegar/lemon juice, yes? The cole slaws I've had weren't particularly wet. Or is there a cole slaw variant that's kinda like sauerkraut? Because there's totally sauerkraut juice that people actually drink (and is even sold in bottles in Germany.)
Yall calling it coleslaw juice makes it sound funnier than it is. The lady was just trying to scam them for free salad dressing.
