Swan Song is a true masterpiece. Miyako is a gift from God himself to metal music. That much talent and beauty in one girl is really rare and special. She composes most songs for Lovebites, play piano and guitar, can play bass too, even drumms a little bit, wrote some songs too. She can do everything. She is The Chopin of Metal and one of the most talented musicians of this age and time. And Lovebites is still new band more or less. They are all incredible, but Miyako is most important member. Asami said something like: Every band needs to have MIyako, but only we have her. If they play this good now, imagine how good they will be in about 10 years. That is terrifying. These girls are pure gold, its a fact...
Asami trained in classical ballet for 16 years and wanted to dance professionally and she was/is good enough to but was told by her ballet teacher that she would never succeed as a dancer because she is "too short!" So while I hate people that crush others dreams I want to say thank you to her ballet teacher for that because now we have this amazing vocalist/performer at the front of Lovebites!!!! If you want to see her dance and more piano react to A Frozen Serenade live 2021
Great to hear the comments from musicians who actually understand what is involved in playing something like this. Thank you! Background for your viewers not familiar: Chopin was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the great classical composers, specializing in highly technical works for piano. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák and Chopin, as well as her stated favorite, Russian romantic composer Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor), with a passage from Rachmaninoff as the outro. Here she actually played the Etude as a prelude, but it’s not normally included in their shows.
Thanks for the reaction! All Ladies (Miho, Haruna, Midori, Asami, Miyako) can play piano/keyboards. For example, Midori (blonde, guitar) has been playing the piano since the age of 2, Miyako (brunette, guitar) has been playing since the age of 3, Miho (bass) since the age of 5. Asami (lead vocal) is a ballerina. 'Etude Op.10, No.12' ( or 'Revolutionary Etude') by the Great Polish composer Frederic Chopin, which was written in 1831 and is dedicated to the Polish patriots who raised an uprising (1830-1831) against the Russian Empire, whose troops occupied Poland. 'Swan Song' ( lyrics - Asami / music - Miyako) from LOVEBITES third studio Album 'Electric Pentagram' (2020). For many centuries (starting from Ancient Greece) there is a legend, according to which swans, non-singing, "silent" birds, acquire a voice a few moments before death, and this dying singing of swans is amazingly beautiful. 'Etude' by F. Chopin and 'Swan Song' are dedicated to the warriors who died in battle. Therefore, at the concert, 'Etude' and 'Swan Song' are played together. In an interview given after the release of the 'Electric Pentagram' album, Asami (a former ballerina, studied classical ballet for about 16 years before becoming a singer) said that when she wrote the lyrics of the song, she was thinking about the famous ballet P.I. Tchaikovsky 'Swan Lake' . During the performance of the song, Asami imitates the Swan (hand movements). And in the final part (piano Miyako), symbolizing the death of the Swan, Asami depicts the dying Swan on stage. Because the camera at the end of the song is focused on Miyako playing the piano, Asami's "death of the Swan" was not captured on video. Asami added some Scandinavian mythology (Valhalla) to the lyrics. The attitudes towards death among the Japanese Samurais and the Scandinavian Vikings were very similar. For Samurais and Vikings, death in battle with weapon in their hands is a death worthy of a male a warrior. Death in battle is better than death from old age in your bed. All Vikings dreamed of dying in battle because then they could go to Heaven, to Valhalla (the Hall of those killed in battle) where they would meet God Odin and other Vikings who died in battles.
Easily my favorite Lovebites song. There is so much emotion that runs through this entire performance - Miyako’s solo and the call and response section with both Midori and Miyako is stunning. And Miyako returning to close the song on piano is one of the most metal things I’ve seen on a stage 🤘
Miyako didn't get to play this particular piano until the day of this performance. She said the sound characteristics of the digital Roland were much different than the Yamaha Baby Grand that she normally plays... had to make some adjustments. Miyako is 33 yrs old now & started playing piano at the age of 3. She didn't pick up the guitar until she was 18, and she taught herself how to play because she wanted another challenge in her life. 😮 Miyako released an EP of piano covers on June 21st & will perform a recital in November. 😏❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘P.S. nice reaction !
Miyako just released a solo album of her on piano covering 6 pieces Gary Mhe Loner, Deep Purple Burn, Metallica Battery, Helloween Eagle Fly Free, Lovebites Addicted, and Yngwie Malmsteen Far and Beyond the sun
@@FlameImperishable Hope you can see and listen it: ua-cam.com/play/OLAK5uy_le54CEm_zfNqTswZzSuEwQY7pF2cgh10Q.html (didn't know if this link will work for you) My recommendation , if you didn't know Helloween "Eagles Fly Free", it's listen the original version FIRST. It is worth doing it before reacting to Miyako's cover. Here, Helloween's song, played by Lovebites: ua-cam.com/video/To21HILZvYE/v-deo.html (you can do a double reaction.. )
@@FlameImperishable You can watch Miyako shine with her piano cover of Helloween's 'Eagle Fly Free' on Lovebite's channel released last month. ua-cam.com/video/-h3BLRs0Xr4/v-deo.html
Music and arrangement by Miyako - piano & guitar; Lyrics by Asami - vocals. Miyako at 18 decide to go into metal music, so she got a guitar and a "How-To" book. Self taught and first riffs she played were from Metallica. There is a Guitar hanging in a guitar shop in Tokyo that was built by Midori, guitar. She had gone to a vocational school to learn how to build guitars. The Guitar is not for sale.
How many musicians on the planet could do what Miyako does in this song. Perhaps a dozen? Maybe less? She is an elite musician and I consider it a privilege to be able to enjoy her talents.
There are many musicians who can play piano and guitar, but Miyako is the ONLY musician I know who can play both instruments on a master level. Miyako is the Musical Messiah
Great reaction guys! Miyako said she used both the motifs of the Chopin _and_ Dvorak's New World Symphony in the song. It is so cool to see *Miyako* calmly reach out and take her pick off of the piano and start playing guitar 10 seconds later - then back to the piano in 5 seconds and start playing arpeggios. I agree, *Asami's* fluid, expressive movements greatly enhance Lovebites' performances. She also writes almost all of the lyrics, so that gives her an edge in her presentation of the songs. For more: Thrash - *Break the Wall* ua-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/v-deo.html Progressive ballad with groove, piano, and a surprise - *A Frozen Serenade* ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html 🤘🐺🤘
While you can't go wrong with any songs by Lovebites, I explicitly second the recommendations of "Edge of the World" and "Frozen Serenande" in several other comments, also the one of "Break the Wall" (live version from 2020), so you get to know their Thrash Metal side, to which I would add the official live version of "Set the World on Fire" and (already mentioned in another comment) their latest live version of "The Hammer of Wrath" featuring their new bassist Fami. The last two are both to be found on their official YT-channel. As regards Miyako playing the piano, I support all the recommendations to check out her piano arrangements of different metal songs. If you should do the official video of her piano rendition of Helloween's "Eagle Fly Free", I also suggest (as someone else already did) to check out the original version first (unless you already know it) or at least the cover version Lovebites played, before listening to the piano arrangement.
Awesome reaction; ending gets me everytime, happens to many of us. 😀 There are songs, and then their are Lovebites MASTERPIECES. The music world needs more Miyakos, that's for sure. I consider myself lucky AF to be alive and witness Miyako during her prime. Her dexterity is off the charts. You mentioned is Asami (vo) a ballerina...one way to find out, A Frozen Serenade live 2021. The MASTERPIECES continue. 🤘
This one usually blows everyone away the first time they see/hear it. ( If you have a soul, which some people do not. ) If you respect them, you will learn their names. Wolfpack united for Lovebites. 🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼
Loved the reaction. The next logic progression from this would be "Frozen Serenade". Miyako and Midori give us a beautifully composed bridge on piano and classical guitar respectively while Asami further showcases her ballet training.
I was speechless. when I first discovered this band about 5 years ago. I’m still speechless til this day. these ladies are the most talented musician I’ve ever seen. and I been around metal all my life.
Great reaction - I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets emotional during their performances. I'd suggest you check out Frozen Serenade (live) ua-cam.com/video/sEjN7dAh4ok/v-deo.html. Nice wine glasses BTW. ☺
Great reaction, these ladies really rock my world, they have an ability to traverse my life just with their music & lyrics can't wait for more reactions to these genuine world class musicians 🤘🎸🔥🥁🎤🎶🔥🤯 Regards Wolfpack 🐺 UK 🤘
There is one other performance of theirs on youtube that rivals this for sheer wondrousness. "A Frozen Serenade", live in 2021 from "Heavy Metal Never Dies" It is a true masterpiece, and I do not use the term lightly. I can't think of 20 songs in rock history that deserve it, but this is one. ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html
In a past reaction to LOVEBITES, if I remember correctly you got interested in Midori (blonde, guitar), her bodybuilding activities. On July 2, 2023, Midori placed 5th in the Body Fitness category (top 6 places - finalists) at the East Japan Championships. And on July 16, 2023, Midori took 2nd place in the Tokyo Championship. 'Greater Tokyo' (urban agglomeration) is the largest metropolitan area in the world with about 38 million people. The competition was serious.
great reaction, insightful analysis. thank you. in march 2023 they had their first show since two years and introduced their new bassplayer. and they´ve used the beak not only for marriage and becoming a baby (asami and miyako), but also for practising and improving. the result can be heared/seen in thier latest release "the hammer of wrath" live 2023. one of the finest thrashers ever.
lagu ini adalah sejarah power metal paling terbaik yang pernah saya dengar, ..miyako seorang kompesor paling terbaik selama perjalanan band ini dan punya karekter yang kuat
Miyako is a true genius! Concert level pianist, world class metal guitarist and very skilled composer. She composed this masterpiece and most of the other Lovebites songs. So you will have a hard time to discover another musician like Miyako-san. I really adore her ... (for her talent, work and humbleness).❤❤❤👍👍👍👏👏👏
Maybe the best ever reaction to this song. I don't like power metal and the 2 first songs i heard from them were of that genre. I was about to not listen to them anymore when i saw a thumbnail wich had a songtitle that reminded me of Tchaikovsky's "swan lake" (favorite) and the name of a classical european composer. Now not a single day passes without watching videos or reactions or hearing their CD's.
Want more piano intro and beautiful lyrics in Lovebites songs? Try to react to this (live): Edge Of The World, Frozen Serenade, Epilogue and Empty Daydream. Asami writes almost all their songs. Great reaction guys, thanks👍
I’m glad that you enjoy the song… here is another masterpiece from Lovebites “Edge of the World “ here is the link ua-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/v-deo.html
excellent comments. They can react to more songs like a frozen serenade, when destiny align, we are the united (where asami plays some piano), glory to the world. I think it's the best metal band right now. Thank you
The Chopin piece Miyako (guitar/keyboards) is playing in the intro is "Etude OP10, No. 12" known as the "Revolutionary Etude." In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was called the "November Revolution" but ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops. Chopin received this news during a performance tour. He never set foot on the soil of his homeland again. When the Russians invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agent presented "Etude OP10, No. 12" in Paris. Because of the agent's exaggerated publicity, people called this piece "Revolutionary Etude. Miyako composed "Swan Song" based on this "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony. Asami (vocalist), a former ballerina, wrote the lyrics based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude" and inspired by Norse mythology and the ballet suite "Swan Lake. "SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim their homeland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES could complete. In case you are wondering, Miyako started piano practice of "La Campanella" by Liszt.
Thank you both for your enjoyable reaction to this transcendent music & performance from Miyako & LOVEBITES. I want to affirm as others have suggested, both 1. Miyako's "Eagle Fly Free" arranged for solo piano: ua-cam.com/video/-h3BLRs0Xr4/v-deo.html though 'qualified' with first listening to original "Eagle Fly Free" by Helloween: ua-cam.com/video/rKReoD7Y_wk/v-deo.html and/or LOVEBITES note-for-note & beat-for-beat full band 'cover': ua-cam.com/video/9oaXfBF8gAU/v-deo.html to have 'fresh' in mind for understanding Miyako's adaptation. Her piano dynamics really shine here. 2. "A Frozen Serenade" 1080p [cc] lyrics: ua-cam.com/video/uca2R0T-vg0/v-deo.html with a caution that the link often shared for this song, ending in "...RN8" the audio is 200ms delayed from video, is in 720p rather than 1080p and has embedded lyrics, not [cc]. The links I have shared here are the highest quality I am currently aware of on u2b. (and I have all their Blu-rays/DVDs & CDs) 🐺Pack dreg👁
oops! This is the correct link for "A Frozen Serenade" with [cc] lyrics in 1080p ua-cam.com/video/sEjN7dAh4ok/v-deo.html The link there now is 1080p but no [cc] lyrics (but that channel's playlist page has all LOVEBITES releases, visible playlists, 'unlisted' individual tracks (!) I didn't edit the above comment on the possibility that you put your 'heart' on it as a 'marker' to find again for the links. Your 'heart' would go away if I edited it.
Rewarding reaction! Lovebites are a gem with many facets. Check out A Frozen Serenade, for a different one. Also, Miyako's creative piano cover of Eagle Fly Free might interest you.
Just another masterpiece of Lovebites, these ladies are monster-musicians, absolutely outstanding. Thanks for reacting! Please, try also Edge of the world and Epilogue (2 beautiful emotional balads).
This is one I was sure you two would appreciate. Top Shelf Virtuosity across the board. Classy writing and Extremely Steeped in Classical Music Theory.
Excellent analysis of the song. That's the same take I had on it. It's a very powerful song. It's not every day that a heavy metal song can touch you on such a deep level...
This is a masterpiece. Thanks for supporting amazing Lovebites. For more piano I recommend “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”, “Liar”, “Frozen serenade”, “Spellbound” (electronic keyboards). All live.
The awe and wonder of that song. I'm not sure it should even be possible, but there it is. They're so incredibly talented. Thatr's a masterpiece if ever there was one. If you'd like to see some more of their songs that are like this (because we know they can also shred and blow your doors off), I highly recommend Frozen Serenade ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html Edge of the World ua-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/v-deo.html and Epilogue ua-cam.com/video/SYF68seEM7Q/v-deo.html Tears might be shed. Also, a very different one for them, with great backing vocals is Empty Daydream ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html I can absolutely call them the greatest band I have ever heard.
Well... hail Salvador Dali! I knew he lives! :)))) Other than that, you had me subscribed at the clever pun of the "choppin' Chopin". :) This song is a classic for a reason - not only perfect amalgam of the text and the music, but also its structure and wonderful use of Classical influences. In fact, it could be called a piano solo with an epic song interlude in between. :)) And heck yeah, it is moving. I am literally crying while watching this, and feeling no shame. LOVEBITES are "saintly and glorious" for a reason.
Music can convey more than words ever can! Great reaction to this fantastic group of talented ladies. Your comments are well thought out and appreciated. Best wishes.
If you're up for checking out one of their lesser known songs, there is a live version of Burden of Time where Miyako plays guitar and piano at the same time.
While the Chopin intro is not on the album track, Asami's vocals are harmonized, and she bends and slides notes during the chorus that make it a glorious listen.
This was my first introduction to Lovebites a few years back and it blew me into the stratosphere (somewhere near where Asamis voice was located :) ). My favorite band since that day. Interesting thoughts about metal guitarists and dynamics, after giving it a thought while I wouldn't say it this broad as you state it is a worthwile and interesting observation.
There are always exceptions, but generally with todays hard rock and metal, Mastering and mixing techniques compress and brick wall limit the wav so the dynamics are removed completely. That’s why that’s why vintage sounding metal sometimes sounds better than today’s releases. (My opinion) 😁
@@FlameImperishable I think I know what you mean, modern metal is often less dynamic because everything seems to be cranked to 11 the whole time. With Lovebites this is different, you are right, even while they can suddenly explode right into your face in the middle of the song the general range of the dynamics is much wider then with other bands. Another band with an awesome understanding of this is X-Japan, but then Yoshiki is a fantastic piano player as well. If you hadn't reacted to them already, you should check them out.
There's no bad track in Lovebites' discography of around 60 songs, and not too many can top "Swan Song" LIVE. However, there might just be 1 - "A Frozen Serenade" LIVE : ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html
In 21 of June exit her first Ep with 6 covers of metal songs on piano. There is one video about "Eagle fly free" from Helloween on YT, please react, thank you!
Great reaction guys! Very perceptive comments. Yes, music can really move you. Lovebites covers quite the scope of metal. For pure thrash with two very different guitar solos try Break The Wall and for more of a ballad (and another masterpiece) try A Frozen Serenade, both live.
Etudes are actually practice pieces for the musician. In this case it is meant to train the left hand. Because the left hand is often neglected when playing the piano.
Great reaction!! But you're still listening to Lovebites 1.0, they're great as usual but if you move to Lovebites 2.0 shows you'll see some differences, all good!!!. Try this song from their official UA-cam channel "LOVEBITES / The Hammer Of Wrath [Official Live Video taken from "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate"]" (Feb 2023)
Awesome reactions of yours. The beginning and the ending were Chopin but the main motif is Symphony New World. I desperetely want the super charming lady to try the pianist Miyako's personal album released a month ago Miyako, Etude Op 23. The album consists of six piano metal cover as etudes. I tell you Miyako's a genius. Those six tracks are audio but this one is a MV, Eagle Fly Free ua-cam.com/video/-h3BLRs0Xr4/v-deo.html, and Lovebites as a full band covers the same piece as well ua-cam.com/video/-h3BLRs0Xr4/v-deo.html. But my favorite in the album is Far Beyond the Sun Yngwie Malmsteen cover ua-cam.com/video/3RzRNijnaKA/v-deo.html. The original composition is very much like classic piece, it sounds as if Malmsteen covered on guitar Miyako's piano etude.
dude what the hell r u talking about, the outro is not a Chopin piece, that is Miyako's own composition and how long have you been a fan of Lovebites and still can't get your facts right geez!
another song they start on piano and end on piano is the title track they did for the Anime Vlad's Love Winds of Transylvania (Vlads Love version) ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html
I find it even more astonishing that Miyako can play to that level on a piano that she apparently does not like the "feel" of, because it is digital. In the studio she much prefers a traditional "analog" instrument.
Next stop, as several have suggested: "A Frozen Serenade" - another Masterclass. Plus Miyako's awesome piano cover of Eagle Fly Free. There is an MV of her playing this (the other piano covers from her EP are on You Tube as audio only) Great reaction to Swan Song, one of my perennial Lovebites favourites, thank you. (ps, loved the "Chop In" gag, so many non classically aware reactors have mispronounced this, lol. 😅)
Miyako has a video of her showing the process of her learning a different piano piece she hopes to include in something later. It's very interesting for me who can't play anything on any instrument to watch. Can't find that particular one off hand but heres a link of her playing various stuff on piano. ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=miyako+learns+new+pian+piece
Thank you for your reaction. Lovebites is not my #1 band but their song writing is fantastic. For this masterfully crafted song I prefer the live version from five of a kind over the studio version mainly because of the last transition into piano. I fell in love with a Wicked Witch, the song that is, and I can’t explain it, figure it makes a good suggest for reaction. Have fun, :)
This song gets me in the feels each time I hear it too Jason and Jennifer. I haven't read through all the comments, but I'm sure there are others who have suggested "A Frozen Serenade" along with "Edge of the World" from Lovebites since you both loved this one so much. There are quality live videos of both uploaded on the UA-cams. Don't want to give away too much, but the intro of "Edge of the World" starts out with just Miyako on piano and Asami on vocals before being joined by Midori doing some beautiful melodic lead work.
Hey guys from the UK. If music doesn't move you it hasn't done it's job! Combine Lovebites virtuoso musicians with classical and metal and you have a powerful combination. Asami's vocals together with the lyrics add to that powerful message. Great reaction and analysis. Best wishes and stay safe.
How much beauty can you put in a song? This is a true masterpiece and liked your comment and loved to see how you were moved by this piece. If you're in for the softer side of Lovebites I recommend Frozen Serenade; ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html I'm sure you'll love this!

Thanks for your "flowing" reaction 🥰. It seems you're in for the classical aspect in their otherwise a bit heavy sound. I would recommend you to take a closer look at another of their songs including a classical aspect. A Frozen Serenade ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html. You'll even find a few moves from Bournonville - almost anyways 😂😂

Not easy to suggest a song after this one, however A Frozen Serenade ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html next is best IMO. Im looking forward to your Lovebites reactions :)
Hi I love the reaction, you seem very genuine and I like it. My recommendation , if you didn't know Helloween "Eagles Fly Free", it's listen the original version FIRST. It is worth doing it before reacting to Miyako's cover.
Here, Helloween's song, played by Lovebites: ua-cam.com/video/To21HILZvYE/v-deo.html (you can do a double reaction.. )
And here Miyako's piano version ua-cam.com/video/-h3BLRs0Xr4/v-deo.html
If you want to discover another face of Lovebites, watch "Spellbound" live in Tokio 2021, a trip in '80!
I agree. That is a really fun song (and funny peformance).
I agree. "A Frozen Serenade" is a masterpiece - one of the best metal songs ever written.
@@1970Phoenix 💯!!
Excellent reaction! With that being said, big man, she got teary eyed because she saw you with teary eyes. 🥲
I picked up on that too! Saw him do the discreet eye wipe. 😂
It’s a move I’ve perfected over the years.
@@FlameImperishable well played! 😀
This song brings me to tears too. I saw that quick tear wipe too.
A Frozen Serenade , Masterpiece for me , Lovebites other level of musicians .
They definitely founded a "new" kind of metal-music: Happy Metal . . . .
This one usually blows everyone away the first time they see/hear it. ( If you have a soul, which some people do not. )
If you respect them, you will learn their names.
I’m still speechless til this day. these ladies are the most talented musician I’ve ever seen. and I been around metal all my
life.
Great reaction - I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets emotional during their performances. I'd suggest you check out Frozen Serenade (live) ua-cam.com/video/sEjN7dAh4ok/v-deo.html. Nice wine glasses BTW. ☺
Second that !
Great reaction, these ladies really rock my world, they have an ability to traverse my life just with their music & lyrics can't wait for more reactions to these genuine world class musicians 🤘🎸🔥🥁🎤🎶🔥🤯
Regards Wolfpack 🐺 UK 🤘
Great reaction folks, thank you for continuing to support Lovebites. These ladies are world class talents and they deserve worldwide recognition.
Probably the best reaction I found for this song. Swan song is my favorite song from Lovebites.
Thank you so much!!
Great reaction. Look closely as Miyako is playing the outro, Asami performs the dying swan….
I'll check it out!
Asami wrote the lyrics for most of the songs, the music only for a few …
If this is your favorite then you'll also love A Frozen Serenade ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html
The back track rekorded also by Miyako, is another Chopin etude: Ocean. You can hear the sea waves!
Nice reaction thanx. This is indeed a remarcable composition, more than just a song.
The best japanese band ever, no doubt! Thanks for reaction! Best wishes from Bulgaria, Europe!🐺
12" known as the "Revolutionary Etude."
In 1831, some officers and citizens rose up against the Polish government, which was under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, in what was called the "November Revolution" but ended in failure due to the direct intervention of Russian troops.
I want to affirm as others have suggested, both
1. Miyako's "Eagle Fly Free" arranged for solo piano: ua-cam.com/video/-h3BLRs0Xr4/v-deo.html though 'qualified' with
first listening to original "Eagle Fly Free" by Helloween: ua-cam.com/video/rKReoD7Y_wk/v-deo.html
and/or LOVEBITES note-for-note & beat-for-beat full band 'cover': ua-cam.com/video/9oaXfBF8gAU/v-deo.html
to have 'fresh' in mind for understanding Miyako's adaptation.
(and I have all their Blu-rays/DVDs & CDs)

oops! This is the correct link for "A Frozen Serenade" with [cc] lyrics in 1080p

The link there now is 1080p but no [cc] lyrics (but that channel's playlist page has all LOVEBITES releases, visible playlists, 'unlisted' individual tracks (!)
I didn't edit the above comment on the possibility that you put your 'heart' on it as a 'marker' to find again for the links.
Simply put - this song is epic, and it's the Miyako Show.
Excellent analysis of the song. That's the same take I had on it. It's a very powerful song. It's not every day that a heavy metal song can touch you on such a deep level...
Yeah, not sure exactly why but that last piano piece always brings a tear to my eye too.
Other than that, you had me subscribed at the clever pun of the "choppin' Chopin". :)
This song is a classic for a reason - not only perfect amalgam of the text and the music, but also its structure and wonderful use of Classical influences. In fact, it could be called a piano solo with an epic song interlude in between. :)) And heck yeah, it is moving. I am literally crying while watching this, and feeling no shame. LOVEBITES are "saintly and glorious" for a reason.
Great Reaction and love your insight. This band is top tier musicians! Just beautiful.
まさにSwanはメタル界の芸術曲、時を超えての融合作品。
Music can convey more than words ever can! Great reaction to this fantastic group of talented ladies. Your comments are well thought out and appreciated. Best wishes.
Masterpiece.

Great reaction.. Next lovebites song "A Frozen Serenade " 🤘🤘
There's no bad track in Lovebites' discography of around 60 songs, and not too many can top "Swan Song" LIVE. However, there might just be 1 - "A Frozen Serenade" LIVE : ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html
Gorgeous ❤
In 21 of June exit her first Ep with 6 covers of metal songs on piano. There is one video about "Eagle fly free" from Helloween on YT, please react, thank you!
The piano she is playing is actually a Roland digital piano designed to look like a full concert grand.
For "Swan Song", Miyako used elements of Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony."
THe Swan song is about a war that happened in Poland and Chopin was a Polish composer. That could be a relation.
it’s okay man. Lovebites leaves people speechless a lot.
🤘🏽LOVEBITES RULES🤘🏽
!!!Lovebites 😀😀😀😀😀¡¡¡ Greetings from Argentina
Hello there!
Chopins etude was called Revolutionary etude written about the failed revolution between Poland and their government with Russia
"See you in Yasukuni" would be the Japanese Valhalla for the Kamikaze youth pilots.
The original composition is very much like classic piece, it sounds as if Malmsteen covered on guitar Miyako's piano etude.
dude what the hell r u talking about, the outro is not a Chopin piece, that is Miyako's own composition and how long have you been a fan of Lovebites and still can't get your facts right geez!
cool review, now please check out Lovebites - Frozen Serenade, Miyako and Midori playing acoustic guitar and piano in the middle song :)
I'll check it out!
another song they start on piano and end on piano is the title track they did for the Anime Vlad's Love Winds of Transylvania (Vlads Love version) ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html
I find it even more astonishing that Miyako can play to that level on a piano that she apparently does not like the "feel" of, because it is digital. In the studio she much prefers a traditional "analog" instrument.
Beautiful song
Next stop, as several have suggested: "A Frozen Serenade" - another Masterclass.
Plus Miyako's awesome piano cover of Eagle Fly Free. There is an MV of her playing this (the other piano covers from her EP are on You Tube as audio only)
Great reaction to Swan Song, one of my perennial Lovebites favourites, thank you.
(ps, loved the "Chop In" gag, so many non classically aware reactors have mispronounced this, lol. 😅)
Wow really? That’s like not knowing who Mozart or Bach are!
Miyako Magic!
Miyako has a video of her showing the process of her learning a different piano piece she hopes to include in something later. It's very interesting for me who can't play anything on any instrument to watch. Can't find that particular one off hand but heres a link of her playing various stuff on piano.

That’s what we’ll check out next time!
@@FlameImperishable Hope you plan to still get to Edge of the World at some point. 🙂
I like her commentating it😊
Hey guys from the UK.
MIYAKO said that’s an electric piano. The challenge was performing on the Roland this piece she practiced on her real piano at home.
She even said she didn’t like that Roland …
Swan song is on the album only the live version has the chopin intro
Right human clocks in a win by running out of juice at 9:06.
The piano was actually a Roland digital piano and Miyako did not like the feel of the keys.
Lovebites, Band Maid and Nemophila from Japan are not bands with which you make a reaction video or from which you get a hit.
You let these 3 bands move into your musik life and enjoy how they change it, in a short time but forever ... 😃
That’s what this 3 have done with my live, they‘ve changed it. And there is another one from Mexico. Now I’m listening to their music every day …
How about Hanabie?
Thanks for your "flowing" reaction 🥰. It seems you're in for the classical aspect in their otherwise a bit heavy sound. I would recommend you to take a closer look at another of their songs including a classical aspect. A Frozen Serenade ua-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/v-deo.html. You'll even find a few moves from Bournonville - almost anyways 😂😂
Miho Miho Miho!
LOVEBITES is the greatest metal band of our lifetime. If you guys really like classical in metal then you guys should check out another amazing Japanese band called unlucky morpheus they feature a violinist and play some of the best metal in the past decade.
I am already a big fan of unlucky Morpheus! Wouldn’t be a first reaction but we should do some live concert reactions that we’ve never seen!
@@FlameImperishable sweet, hell yea man! I love the reactions. It seems like Japan picked up metal a decade ago and dusted it off brought back to life.
Also ... its an Electric Roland and Miyako hates electric pianos ! 😁
Long time since I enjoyed reaction to Lovebites as much as I enjoyed yours.
Swan Song is a song on its own. Its not a high level not even the highest level - this IS the level.
Here is a song of theirs that you may enjoy, Miyako plays a bit of Rachmaninov if I'm not wrong (I'm sure if I am, someone will correct me). It is called Empty daydream and is part of the three "E" songs ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html ! The other ones are Epilogue and Edge of the world.
