- Minecraft Bases are normally big and beautiful, this base is neither, but it was a really fun minecraft redstone project. In this Mumbo Jumbo redstone video, Mumbo builds a Minecraft redstone base that is only 1 block wide. It involves a redstone super smelter, a storage system, automatic potion brewing and much more. This is by far the oddest piston house I have ever built!

If there's a large 3 wide wall anywhere on the Hermitcraft server I highly suggest you make one of these without telling the owner and just make that your temporary base

Terraria's chests and machines (furnace, work bench, etc) go in the layer in between the BG and the layer the entities are on... essentially they are always behind the player. You would need 3 wide to simulate any terraria set up, 4 if you count that wiring goes on its own layer that is sort of behind everything.

1 for background
1 for tile entities (chest n stuff

Terrarian here, one of the ways we add the illusion of depth/layers to our buildings is with background blocks/types of walls, playing with darker woods and stone to give the illusion of shadow, and raising/lowering parts to play with perspective. Takes some practice, but well worth it

Imagine you live in one of these built in a huge block, and they're separated by glass so you pass the people to your left and right from time to time or you see them doing something in the middle of the night when you're trying to sleep

I love super unique challenges like this, because they allow you to create some really creative things that can be repurposed for general use.
..The fact you had to simplify everything to the point where you can see each part and how it interacts with another.. I just learned more about how redstone works than the countless videos ive tried to watch to learn how to make redstone contraptions can be built.. neat

My thought too. I think it could’ve been done with a different design tho, like hopper top, rear, and bottom and using dispensers and water to distribute to multiple of these modules and then they all dump into a collection chest. It’d be huge tho lol.

Funny enough I'd had a battle with minecart mechanics myself today and can confirm this still holds true in 1.17 :') The more cursed the minecart movement looks the better the contraption works xD

I do like anvil replacers, and I made one into a anvil railgun, and it worked pretty well, and it was one of the funner things I've used on there, but I still haven't measured the range of it
Now this is efficient living: you could make entire minecraft apartment buildings like this and it would look hilarious. Additionally, b/c they are relatively square shaped, when you stack them together they would form cubes which means that you could also classify your apartment buildings by the block they're representing ("oh I live in Obsidian B" or Basalt Q or whatever!)

Ants build in 3D. It's only if you artificially squish them between a couple of panes of glass that they build like this.

Could save a bit of space in the storage system by having two stacks of double chests between each gap. Maybe even more chests in place of the slime block launchers, but then you'd need trapdoors to get across and a water bucket to get out if you fell in
