As usual a great video about Serbia, Janus! Brilliant drone shoots. Thank you so much for showing me the beauty of Eastern Serbia. It looks bit different, where the wonderful nature and historical sites are the king of this part. The roadtrip along the Danube river looks very nice. Danube, I know it from Germany and Austria, they call it Donau river:) The fortress is magnificent and the castle reminds me of château chillon in Montreux ^^ See you next Saturday ☺️
I love your videos about Serbia and how you enjoy it! Btw, just replace every "j" for "y" in your mind for spelling reasons, and you will do great naming and pronouncing stuff :)
The Ram Fortress is a 15th century fortress but during the archaeological exploration of the fortress it was discovered that the modern fortress was predated by the much older architectural elements from Roman and pre-Roman period. Based on this, and the description of the Danube's bank in ancient texts which corresponds to the Ram's geography, some scholars suggested that this may be the location where Alexander the Great encountered the Celtic delegation in the 4th century BC. Others proposed the area as one of possible battlefields between the Greeks and the Triballi, during Alexander's Balkan campaign. An entire Roman mausoleum has been uncovered. You made a small mistake with the tower inside the fort it is not what you mentioned, during the 2010s surveys prior to the reconstruction, the table was discovered, placed by one of the legionnaires of the Roman emperor Claudius. He built the tower and dedicated it to the supreme Roman God, Jupiter. The inscription on the boulder tablet below the fortress there is inscription To Jupiter, the greatest and the mightiest, the standard-bearer of the "Legio VII Claudia" Gaius Licinius Rufinus dedicates the table.

Thank you so much. Yes, I was really bummed that I was not able to continue. I was literally 10 minutes away from it but I had to turn around and barely made it to the garage. But this gives me a good reason to hopefully come back soon to see it 👍😊

Should have visited Lepenski Vir - the cradle of European civilization, 10.000 years before Romans. This way it's like going to the best restaurant and have bread and butter for the main course.

Hey! Great video about Eastern Serbia, I really admire your work. I also recommand visiting the Ottoman Fetislam Fortress in Kladovo, Eastern Serbia. Right now the Fetislam Fortress is under reconstruction, but it will be opening in August this year. It's one of the most beautiful fortresses on the Danube river. Also in Kladovo you have a Roman Fortress Diana, that should be soon under reconstruction.
Serbia is in the north (Vojvodina) in central-south-eastern Part of Europe and Rest of Serbia is in south-eastern Part, so the hole country is more south-eastern.
@@bojnicanin bro, i know thr geography, when you open the time zones and everything else that is not politically oriented: Serbia belongs to the central + central Southern Europe.

Yes, it is legal but some areas are not allowed. I recommend getting an insurance and registering your drone
