You know that you are in for a treat when the flute solo comes before the guitar solo🤩 Great reaction again and please keep on waffling🤘🥰

I love the Hurdy-Gurdy solo and trio in this one. I've just bought one and am learning to play it as an alternative to my guitar. Previous lead singer, Anna Murphy, also played Hurdy-Gurdy and flute. Check out her band, Cellar Darling - Black Moon, for another Hurdy-Gurdy and guitar duet.

CHIEF: that A7F thing you heard was more about the multiple-guitar soloing...i've been listening to these guys for 13 years. if you want a direction on an amazing song (only if you're good with not having a video for it) of Eluveitie's, try TEGERNAKO from their first album. just bloody brilliant, and really heavy while still keeping the traditional Celtic feel. no female vocals, but it grabs you by the throat nonetheless. i do also love this song. Chrigel Lanzmann (male vocalist, flautist and many other instruments) is a BEAST with these screams.
also. give SUIDAKRA a look. very similar to this, Celtic music from Germany, fewer clean vocals...my favorite album is CONLAOCH...maybe the best song (there are a lot) on that is ISLE OF SKYE. even if you listen on your own, SO worth it, SO catchy and heavy, with great integration of the traditional Celtic instruments. generally a touch heavier than Eluveitie, but they're nice. cheers, and be well.

Never heard this Band. When that flute kicked in, I got chills. Guitars are killin it, as well as the flute. Thanks Bro!! I am a huge fan of folk music, as well as metal. This makes me happy. A new band for me dive into. Thanks for the help.

"Caffeine, delivered via the tympanic membrane" - - said no one, ever.
I could blabber on for paragraphs about playing with a couple world-class Celtic musicians way back in the late 70's in a pubj-am environment.. and being amazed at the driving force in the tunes/how the the rhythm instruments play the role of percussion at times/how intense the unison leads can be... but that would be hanging a bit of gilt tinsel on the sows ear of my playing skills, those many, long, nights ago.
I have never felt the headlights of an onrushing train so intensely !!
So yeah, these folks really do capture that insane-level, intense, fiery attack that raw, acoustic, Celtic music can have.
And then they amplify it, and spread the love out to a wider range of instruments.
And place vocals-to-die-for on top, to give the direction to the driving instrumentals. Either an alluring call to the pagan art of cauldronetry , or the savage scream of the afflicted. I think... not sure, gotta re-review the lyrics to check the roles, but it's something like that (don't you just hate it when a guy waxes poetic down a path that doesn't even exist>? Yeah, I'm THAT guy.)
So hey, long time no chat.
    Hope things are doing well.
I'm just pulling out of 2 weeks of virus-hell and man, am I beat.
This song can be a great rejuvenator ... one of my favorites over the past couple years.
I have tickets to see them in a smallish venue (1.5 k people?) in Mid-ish March.
    I can'wait.
