I bought Gordon in 2017, and never opened it, bought Stunt around the same time too, also new to vinyl. Had no idea it was big bucks. "Jane" is a great song, not sure if that album ever came on vinyl. I saw them live, and great entertainers. I can see where you would think it was a joke, they went a little overboard and they left you wondering if it was spontaneous. I kept Darkness Permission To Land 04 sealed, but opened One Way Ticket, but still mint. By 2003, i had stopped buying cds, and was vinyl-only going forward. Back then, most new releases still werent on vinyl, so i downloaded those.
Hi Rob. I’m new to your channel. That Sadies album cover is insanely cool! I had Rat Fink stickers as a kid! If I had known how collectible they would have become I would have kept my childhood bedroom door 🚪 lol because that’s where I would stick all of them 😂 That’s a very cool Bryan Adams album to keep my eyes open for! Passengers!! Wow! So cool! The Wallflowers is a great one too! Thanks for sharing these. ✌🏽 Steve
Folks that don't know me often think I'm kidding I have 2 particularly serious grails that I doubt I'll ever get a hold of. Both are picture disks. Looking for the 1969 picture disc of the banana splits album. It was sold exclusively as a souvenir via the king's island theme park where some of the show segments were filmed. The other is a much newer pressing. Clouds in the sky. A soundtrack picture disk featuring songs from Mystery Science Theater 3000 performed by the original lineups with Joel And Mike. This was a limited disc that was released through a collaboration with arrow video. It just never pops up.
I liked seeing your Beatles VJ records. Interesting about BN Ladies. I have always liked 'If I Had a Million Dollars'. I am always looking for Bob Marley and the Wailers records.
About 14 years ago I got the Butcher cover,ex+ 2nd state , stereo for $1 at a second hand store. However, I'm still seeking both the 4 seasons lp and the Frank Ifield lp.
I have Gordon on vinyl. I had no idea that it was never reissued again or that it was going for much money! That’s cool. Haha I’d also love a copy of Breach by The wallflowers. We will both find it some day. Good luck. Cheers🍀
When I was in college in the early 80s there was a Drug Store in town that had a record department with lots of old unsold Beatles albums. I got the "Hear the Beatles tell all" album and two copies of the John and Yoko "Two Virgins" album. Got my unpeeled copy of the butcher album a couple of years ago.
Most of those rack job copies of Two Virgins are fakes. If your paper bag is as tall as the sleeve, that's generally legit. If the top of the cover peaks out passed the bag it's a pirate. Mine, also purchased in the 80's, is definitely a pirate.
I have only 3 on my list of so called grails, and I can't afford any of these records. I need to hit the lottery obviously. Will miss you this weekend Rob! Hope all is well.
@@MGKBOSTON Hey Mike. Hope the party is great. Sounds pretty epic. Lots of VC coming I hear. Wish I could be there. Are you still planning a trip up here sometime?
I am looking for Bringing Down the Horse by The Wallflowers. I have the CD case...for some reason the CD is missing. Albums from the 90s are somewhat hard to find on vinyl and I like this album. I would love to find my missing CD.
Beatles Four Seasons will never be repressed. Veejay only had publishing right for the first half of 1964. And Bryan has changed record labels and isnt on the best of terms with A&M as he is doing the Taylor and rerecording a bunch of stuff. So double if Day Like Today will get repressed. If it does, I would happily take it.
I’ve got 3 on your list. Oddly, I only have Bringing Down the Horse on CD, but picked up (Breach) on Lp. Three I know I’ll never see: The Bentwind/Sussex New Tweedy Bros. Jethro Toe “My Aeroplane” 45
Who are you looking at on the left and on the right? You never look straight ahead. I wonder what your basement really looks like! Obvious fake backdrop with unmatched shading!

The two I want the most, you have!! The Beatles' Let It Be Naked, and the Butcher cover!

Intriguing list. I'd really have to think about this.

I was expecting a few more og Beatles to be in the list Rob? I thought black/gold PPM? I love your butcher. Keep looking, they’re out there. Mike

Digging the obscurity/scarcity of many of these titles. Good vinyl luck tracking them down!
