Todd's Kitchen how can you be so fat making garbage food? This is the absolute worst.
Came here trying something new, now I have to add you to my kill list.
Seriously though, for anyone who needs a decent recipe
      Liquid stock
      Flour
Keep adding more stock for a lighter gravy
More flour for a thicker gravy
Listen to this guy, you’ll be fat eating shit food,
Don’t ask me how he got fat eating gross food,
      It’s just honesty

The- potato-warrior you are honestly so childish, i cant believe someone so pathetic is alive, he is a human being just like the rest of us, i cant believe this. who taught you how to act like this? your attitude is honestly unbelievable. first shaming a man calling him fat and saying that he is he absolute worst. it doesnt matter what weight he is he created this video to share with people his recipe and here you are probably making him feel bad. and also please let me point out his food is NOT garbage and looks delicious, every food has fat in it, deal with it, suck it up, its life.

This worked like charm as a starting point for my emergency gravy. I also grinded an old apple and a mid sized tomato and simmered them together with the chicken stock, plus some spice here and there. I also used corn starch instead of corn flour - It turned out to be on of the most delicious gravies I've had!

This recipe saved the day! 😀 I had turkey left overs but had no more gravy and was out of chicken stock so making the gravy with chicken cubes worked perfectly! Also, super easy recipe and actually tasted better than the gravy I’ve made from scratch. The only thing was that I sautéed onions and garlic first then added veggies & simmer in water with chicken cubes for about 5 minutes then took out veggies and added the milk and flour to the stock. It was delicious! Thank you soooo much! 🙏

When I cook turkey for Christmas dinner I bone out the turkey, put the bones aside & make a boneless roasting joint wrapped up in it's own skin. I boil up all the bones into a stock and I also add all the juices from roasting the turkey to the stock, I make a roux with the turkey fat/oil from the roasting pan and thicken the stock. This gravy is like liquid meat! It is fantastic! I actually look forward to the gravy more that the turkey!

New fan here, tried this because i didn't want to handle hot grease/butter with way too much stirring with braced up wrists and will have to say it was okay for just chicken stock, but a little bland, for a bit more flavor add butter and poultry seasoning if you're using it for chicken gravy. with this i made an amazing chicken and cream gravy rice dish with those added ingredients and it's so great. Might want to say the milk and flour mix needs to look just as thick too...i did the original recipe and found that it still wasn't the thick sauce i liked, and added about half and a bit more to the mix and it finally did as you showed.

I'm confused here. I've always been taught that gravy is made from a roux consisting of fat and flour to which stock has been added. The roux is the thickening agent. If you are using corn starch, like Todd in the video, to thicken your stock, what you are doing is making a sauce. Gravies and sauces are different things entirely.

    • @MaZEEZaM
      @MaZEEZaM 7 років тому +3

Temulon Variations of what he made is what everyone in Australia calls a gravy it tends to be had with roasts or on chips. If it was on anything else then we would probably term it as a sauce. Btw in India Curry simply means sauce.

She did make roux, grease was already in the skillet and she stirred in four then browned it. That's the roux. You can use four or cornstarch. A sauce is when u mix cornstarch/four with water in a cup then add to stock to make "thickening sauce". With a thickening sauce your not Browning the flour/cornstarch

I guess my question is, if you do not like pre-made stuff like pre-made gravy, then why are you using pre-made stock. I mean, gravy is basically thickened/creamed stock, so if the stock is from a factory then the finished gravy is still essentially from a factory. I'm not judging, I just wonder what the difference is between a can of gravy and the gravy you make from canned stock.

Cause he doesn't want to have to slaughter and get the stock???

+Robert Drangus There's a limit to what people find convenient and comfortable. You can spend months growing your own ingredients for a sandwich (check the video), or buy what's convenient. Stock takes hours to simmer, so costs a bit of time. Stock doesn't have preservatives like canned gravy does, so it's just a personal preference tradeoff. Normally when you make a turkey or roast, you automatically have stock so you don't often have to buy it. Only the corn starch is needed at that point over envelope gravy.

Don't see much difference to store bought to be honest. I mean, if you're such an anti-storebought man, use fresh stock instead of those crap cubes. Also, thanks to the collagen in freshly made stock, you don't need starch to make it look saucy
