Todd's Kitchen how can you be so fat making garbage food? This is the absolute worst.
Came here trying something new, now I have to add you to my kill list.
Seriously though, for anyone who needs a decent recipe
Liquid stock
Flour
Keep adding more stock for a lighter gravy
More flour for a thicker gravy
Listen to this guy, you’ll be fat eating shit food,
Don’t ask me how he got fat eating gross food,
It’s just honesty
The- potato-warrior you are honestly so childish, i cant believe someone so pathetic is alive, he is a human being just like the rest of us, i cant believe this. who taught you how to act like this? your attitude is honestly unbelievable. first shaming a man calling him fat and saying that he is he absolute worst. it doesnt matter what weight he is he created this video to share with people his recipe and here you are probably making him feel bad. and also please let me point out his food is NOT garbage and looks delicious, every food has fat in it, deal with it, suck it up, its life.
You hate prepackaged food. U used stock cubes to make gravy... Why wouldn't u just simply buy gravy granules? U clearly have nothing to do with cooking

Why are there so many bad comments about what he said about using cubes, he's only giving an alternative about saving money. Thank you for sharing👍
Chuyita Lopez it was stupid advice that's why
Chuyita Lopez it was a good idea some people are afraid to say they use them but that's all they could afford.. kuttos to him
I thought it was good because I forgot to buy son broth and I actually have some cube so thank god he said it or I would even think about it
He did say it was about money more than once and not flavour. People love to bitch
here in romania there are no beef or chicken broth only cubes so even when you can affort it you may not find it
I just tried this with the chicken stock but also added about a teaspoon of butter along with a healthy helping of salt, pepper, and paprika. It came out absolutely amazing.
This worked like charm as a starting point for my emergency gravy. I also grinded an old apple and a mid sized tomato and simmered them together with the chicken stock, plus some spice here and there. I also used corn starch instead of corn flour - It turned out to be on of the most delicious gravies I've had!
I made this (without the worcestershire sauce cus I didn't have any lol) to satisfy a sudden craving for a chicken bowl and oh my god it hit the spot so good! It's nothing crazy fancy but it went perfectly with my mashed potatoes and popcorn chicken!!! Thanks for the tip, Todd! ^_^
thank you for your opinion i am going to try it now
Ooh I was craving some mashed potatoes and gravy, better try this out
So it’s fine if you don’t use the Worcestershire sauce
Worcestershire sauce tu maggie seasoning jer sebenarnye
hello, for mashed potato did you use beef stock or chicken stock?thank you!

anything you say
how to make mashed potato gravy
can this be good for mashed potatoes???
Kasumi yes
Kasumi obviously and with sausages yup mmmm
This recipe saved the day! 😀 I had turkey left overs but had no more gravy and was out of chicken stock so making the gravy with chicken cubes worked perfectly! Also, super easy recipe and actually tasted better than the gravy I’ve made from scratch. The only thing was that I sautéed onions and garlic first then added veggies & simmer in water with chicken cubes for about 5 minutes then took out veggies and added the milk and flour to the stock. It was delicious! Thank you soooo much! 🙏
I love his intro. It's the right length, and it gets the point across that he basically cooks everything. Good job!
holy cow. you really made it look simple
Thanks :)
+Todd's Kitchen or you could use organic farms beef seasoning if you dont have stok in stok.

anyone that can make something look easy.....is good, at what they are doing...
Great tutorial! I watched this just to make sure I didn't forget any of the steps my grandmother taught me as a kid, but this is almost the same. She usually just started by frying up some minced mushrooms and onions for some extra flavour, colour and texture!
Ingredients:
2 cups of water
2 beef or chicken stock cubes
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons cornflour
1⁄2 cup milk
you're welcome
Senpai Joe He literally has it in the description..
Senpai Joe thanks dude lol
Thanks!
Senpai Joe you copied his description
Senpai Joe I cant drink milk what else can I use?
It's posted 9 years ago and I just watched it now????? , Man I love this, fast, cheap, easy, really does upgrade my mashed potatoes 🤤
What kind of stock should i use for my gravy, i'm just going to drink it by itself?
I'm the gravy monster.
😂😂😂
Such a great looking gravy :D

When I cook turkey for Christmas dinner I bone out the turkey, put the bones aside & make a boneless roasting joint wrapped up in it's own skin. I boil up all the bones into a stock and I also add all the juices from roasting the turkey to the stock, I make a roux with the turkey fat/oil from the roasting pan and thicken the stock. This gravy is like liquid meat! It is fantastic! I actually look forward to the gravy more that the turkey!
Thank you so much Lilly, i really do appreciate that :)
8 years later, you made a stomach really happy. Thanks Todd.
I had left over juice from cooking in a crockpot, just followed your steps, turned out delish! :)
Made this tonight. iPad on kitchen bench, listening to your instructions. Everyone knows you at my place. Lol. We loved it. Never buying the supermarket stuff again. Thanks again Todd .
Thank you I appreciate this video I am a cook at a nursing home
God bless you :-)
O what nersing home
Is it not required in a nursing home to have a professional cook?
Fried chicken plus gravy = clogged arteries = WORTH IT! :P
Well you don't look like the healthiest, so your opinion doesn't matter!
Kara woolfe, who asked?
Nice work Todd. Got to say but every body is entitled to an opinion but haters go away. If you don't like don't cook it. If you are such a pro, why are you watching. The guy goes out of his way to help people and he gets comments like that. I really feel sorry for society these days. You just have to ignore. Once again thnx and well done.

Thank you for this recipe. I had just finished boiling lamb meatballs in beef stock. After retrieving the cooked balls, I had over 4 cups of stock left. I didn't want to waste it so I looked for a recipe for gravy (the balls taste good but a little dry) and found yours. It worked very well and tastes rich and delicious.
Just made this gravy. Tweaked the recipe for ingredients on hand. For a gravy without beef, it turned out very tasty! Thank you! Not a cook; but, have learned so much from channels like yours to get by. Really appreciate this!
Yes of course, it is still proper gravy just with a slightly different taste :)
this was actually very easy and fast thanks.
By far the easiest but most delicious recipe I’ve ever tried. Thank you for this!
If I can post a picture that I took I would. Holy crap I thought making gravy was difficult. I used the cubes to this recipe and I had myself gravy!! Thank you Todd!!
There's always more then one way to make just about anything.
This guy is the best cook because he makes it very simple and quick and made it crystal clear.
I agree
Tried it and added some pepper, red chilli flakes, paprika and just a bit of turmeric powder... Looks and tastes delicious and it was my first time making some gravy! Thanks for the recipe!!
Thank you! Works wonders. Ate it with pan fried fish and mashed potatoes. Even though I used beef stock, it still tasted great:)
thank you for this simple but tasty gravy! yum!
I made this gravy for our Sunday roast dinner, and it was easy to prepare and delicious. Thank you for sharing!
This is literally exactly what I needed! You should try with potatoe flour, it's super good with red meats.
Always happy to help :)
BRAVO! Just gave this a try he loved it and the babies are. THANK YOU. Seriously... Now I vowel to NEVER buy store bought again!
The babies ate^
What sauce did he use for the gravy to let it simmer?

Can i Skip Worcestershire Sauce , Or Something Alternative Option Advice . Thanks
I made this with my Sunday night chicken roast and I would just like to say, this is beautiful, so tasteful. Thank you so much (:
Thank you so much :)
omg !!! can i do poutine with this gravy?? will be the same? like the strong flavour ??? this is soooo amazing!
Was wandering the same. Out of Quebec, every sauce taste and look like shit. This one does look decent
Yes, i would recommend the red meat version for that :)
Todd's Kitchen i dont think you quite understand how to reply to comments, but i’m sure you do now! its been 7 years ahaha lol 😅😂🤣
add a line he’ll figure it out sooner or later, give him a couple years
Great video! I am retired as of 2 weeks ago, on a budget so this is the way i do it from now on. Thanks Todd no wonder you have millions of views.
Wait- It's THAT simple?! 'Ma get in the car! We got some shopping to do! 😃
I already have :P
Lard, you forgot the pound of lard :P
New fan here, tried this because i didn't want to handle hot grease/butter with way too much stirring with braced up wrists and will have to say it was okay for just chicken stock, but a little bland, for a bit more flavor add butter and poultry seasoning if you're using it for chicken gravy. with this i made an amazing chicken and cream gravy rice dish with those added ingredients and it's so great. Might want to say the milk and flour mix needs to look just as thick too...i did the original recipe and found that it still wasn't the thick sauce i liked, and added about half and a bit more to the mix and it finally did as you showed.
Just made this, literally the best gravy I’ve ever had. Did take a few liberties by add a bit extra of certain ingredients
Could I use fresh milk or should I use evaporated milk? I don't know
"This is a bad dish! Quit youtube!"
Might be what some haters say. But dont mind them. Just carry on.
lol thanks :)

You're an absolute gentleman and a scholar my friend. Thank you so much!!
Fantastic! Im happy you like it :)
hhhmmmm maybe i should start an intro playlist :)
You can trust this guy because he's not skinny. But what does the Worcestershire sauce do?
+starrychloe Gives it flavor :D It's what he's using for seasoning.
LmAOOO
I just made it tonight. I used vegetable bouillon. Still so good! Thank you!
In addition to this recipe I added the gravy mix ( w/ extra Worcestershire sauce) to a pan off sautee onion. It was delicious. This is my go to for gravy. It tastes better than the other stuff (gravy making choices or store bought).
How much liquid chicken stock would equal 2 stock cubes?
EXCELLENT QUESTION! did you get a response??
Just go with the package instructions.
Bruce Kersman 2 cups, the water quantity is in recipe as in video, each cube is mixed with a cup of hot water (to melt) if ur not using cubes, its the same, 2 cups as per this recipe of either chicken or the beef stock from the meats :)
+Emma Leigh So, 2 stock cubes = 2 cups of hot water? Thank you! :)
Priyanka Kishore one cup is one cube
I’m making poutine...what stock do I use
Edit:I ended up only eating fries with cheese
Lol. Hope u enjoy ur meal
Any stock is good really
Made some party pies with ground beef and carrot inside a warm pastry pocket!! IT'S SO GOOD
Thank you so much for sharing such an easy and delicious recipe!!! So much better than the prepackaged ones!! I won’t go to expensive restaurants for schnitzel again!!
I'm confused here. I've always been taught that gravy is made from a roux consisting of fat and flour to which stock has been added. The roux is the thickening agent. If you are using corn starch, like Todd in the video, to thicken your stock, what you are doing is making a sauce. Gravies and sauces are different things entirely.
Temulon Variations of what he made is what everyone in Australia calls a gravy it tends to be had with roasts or on chips. If it was on anything else then we would probably term it as a sauce. Btw in India Curry simply means sauce.
Thanks MaZEEZaM.
She did make roux, grease was already in the skillet and she stirred in four then browned it. That's the roux. You can use four or cornstarch. A sauce is when u mix cornstarch/four with water in a cup then add to stock to make "thickening sauce". With a thickening sauce your not Browning the flour/cornstarch
Exactly. The slob is a jack-ass!
When you say “Corn Flower” it looks to me like what we (in the states) call corn starch. This is often used as a thickener in sauces and confectionary cooking. Am I wrong and it is something else entirely?
It's "Corn Flour*"
Corn flour is a different kind of flour altogether. What he used was, indeed, corn starch. At least in the States, anyway.
"Corn flour", flour made from corn 🤦🏻♂️
@@abnerulloa131 But he's not using corn flour. He's using corn STARCH.
Here we go... An argument that is obviously stating what the difference is between Starches n Flour... It does the SAME PURPOSE(( bake and make a things THICKER))..Does it matter🙄😶
Tried your recipe and it came out pretty good! I used chicken cubes and almond milk and it was just right. Thanks!!!
Yes i have a vlog channel, links in the description :)
Where have you been all this time? You made it LITERALLY so easy and simple! THANK YOU! It even gave me an idea to make this as a base for making creamy vegetable soup without all the butter normally used in it.
I see a big guy, he must know his gravy
This is from those out there who don't have time to comment and like. I needed a quick recipe fast for a dinner and it turned out great! Had to come back to comment and thumbs up. Thanks a lot. Appreciate it!
Tod, I just want you to know, I just made this gravy. Here I was stuck with no gravy and a stuffed meatloaf with mashed potatoes and greenbeans.. and no jar, or canned gravy or chicken stock on hand.. nothing!! So.. I thought, "Let's see if Tod has something I can whip up" yup you did friend. Great having you in my kitchen!! BTW not EVERYONE can make their own chicken stock from scratch ALL the time!! This was easy, peazzy, pleasy!!!
hahah im the same aswell. i have stuffed chops with musroom cheese and loaded baked potato i jst needed gravy which i was so lost on how to make
Instead Of Stock Use The sauce Of The meat created after oven or boiled
exactly how i do , plus you can add mushrooms cocked on butter ..
really??? duhhhhhhhhhhhh, if such a pro why u here
I needed to add a comment for reasons
Thank you :)
this looks delicious, thank you so much for sharing Todd!
I guess my question is, if you do not like pre-made stuff like pre-made gravy, then why are you using pre-made stock. I mean, gravy is basically thickened/creamed stock, so if the stock is from a factory then the finished gravy is still essentially from a factory. I'm not judging, I just wonder what the difference is between a can of gravy and the gravy you make from canned stock.
Cause he doesn't want to have to slaughter and get the stock???
+Robert Drangus There's a limit to what people find convenient and comfortable. You can spend months growing your own ingredients for a sandwich (check the video), or buy what's convenient. Stock takes hours to simmer, so costs a bit of time. Stock doesn't have preservatives like canned gravy does, so it's just a personal preference tradeoff. Normally when you make a turkey or roast, you automatically have stock so you don't often have to buy it. Only the corn starch is needed at that point over envelope gravy.
Robert's Art Studio I was thinking the same. That was not "homemade" at all
Wth am i doin in my life watching how to make a gravy.
Yesterday I prepared it, it's really easy and delicious. We loved it. Thanks!!!
Thats fantastic Rachel. :)
no salt and pepper?lol

Don't see much difference to store bought to be honest. I mean, if you're such an anti-storebought man, use fresh stock instead of those crap cubes. Also, thanks to the collagen in freshly made stock, you don't need starch to make it look saucy
Hahaha shots fired lol
thomas schoenmakers the starch also thickens the liquid
It adds to the taste of it. Best to leave it out if you don't have it
er ,,,, how is that home made , if your using stock cubes ??
I was just about to comment this!
would you still question if it's homemade when he did milk the cow and made the flour
it's homemade cuz you made it typically at home
This is the most stupid question I ever read on any UA-cam comment section ma8.
bcoz, cubes are easily found in home kitchen, not like real stock, you dont stock stock at home 😂, we buy cubes stock. nah. hahhaha
Thanks Jordan :)
