With how many times this game has almost completely died out they need to put as many people on as few servers as possible. Nobody will be crying about a competitive advantage when they have 30 active players online next month.
PLEASE make some videos for "intermediate" players. A tips video for a huge majority of us. Soooooo many "AMATEUR BEGINNER TIPS VIDS" right now - can't find any that I actually want. Would appreciate it
There's a high demand for "beginner" videos because a LOT of players coming to Aeternum are new - Console payers, many who don't even game on PC at all - and are very unfamiliar with not only this game, but MMO's like it in general, as those - as a genre - are rarer on console.
Plus, if you're an "intermediate" player, already familiar with New world, you'd know the mid game stuff is best with a "learn by doing" attitude, as there's basically nothing you can "screw up" in a way that isn't EXTREMELY easy to "undo" in literally minutes.
If you have a SPECIFIC question that could be useful in video form, please... go ahead and ask.

I can only guess there be a rush of people trying to play day one like the og New World. Hope this event goes swimmingly for new and returning players. It just fun checking news on a game I use to play.
I love the fact that they're deliberately making the single-console exclusive servers die on launch. Hopefully Sony will realise their demands were braindead.

Voice of reason here... where did you hear that Sony was behind the console-specific servers other than the op's opinion? And if it was only Sony, why isnt theirs the only one? If you've been playing video games long enough then you'd know that it has been a long-standing issue with some gamers that they prefer not to play console to pc cc crossplay because of percieved advantages. I play both so its not much of an issue to me.
@@dtownspolarbear nah they are probably right though. According to 'Google Sony requires developers to pay extra money in connection with the implementation of cross-play features on PlayStation 4' . Sony is very anti-consumer for some fuckin reason
@@dtownspolarbearit is well known that Sony is and has always been completely against crossplay. They don’t want people playing with each other if they’re not on PlayStation. Nearly every game that they have ever been invited to be a part of they have declined if crossplay was a thing unless they were able to remove the function. They have gone out of their way legally and financially to fight against crossplay for over a decade now. Microsoft on the other hand welcomes it, however Microsoft wants console only servers not just Xbox only, only so WE have an option to allow competitive gaming where controller players can enjoy pvp against other controller players. I don’t mean to demonize or play favorites truly I own all 3 platforms and play on all 3. I’m just telling you matter of factly from someone who knows.

1. They're ONLY available in the first weeks of this relaunch, they're not something "everyone" will have.

After experiencing and grinding 300 hours on the steamdeck with VERY low graphic settings , I’m finally going to be able to experience it the way it’s supposed to.
I hate the fact that I’ll have to start over but man I’m very excited to fast travel to high populated areas without the game crashing.
I had to take a few shortcuts with certain situations to avoid the steamdeck crashing the game. Very very excited to play again with a new experience.

If u have multiple characters on same server can u run raid and do time gated shit on different characters? Or is it all account bound ?
been pretty interested in getting into a MMO like this, and i've seen some pretty promising improvements. Saw it was around $50 on steam though. Not sure I want to drop that much on a game i've never tried/can't demo
Pity you missed the beta test last month. It seems to have been they key to "selling" it to a LOT of console players I've seen talking about it.

If you play at least 50hrs I'd say it's worth it, I'd watch some streams or game play videos to decide. I've come back to the game after 2yrs and I've got 20hrs in it so far and really enjoying it

Unpopular opinion/ Counterpoint… playing on a “console only” server would alleviate the problem of m/kb players wrecking controller users or PC players taking the time out of their day to write paragraphs on why “soft locking” is killing “their” game. Don’t get me wrong I’m playing both from PC AND console but I’ll reserve my “sweat” sessions for my computer time, and when I want to cruise from my couch play with only console peeps out of fairness.

im hyped for aternium! cant wait to start a fresh new character! my current chara uses Void gauntlet and the throwing axe, think i might stick to that. gonna kinda suck having to regain all of my trade skills, ngl i wish theyd do what FO76 did and have an aoption to start at like level 10 or something

@@polan7429 there’s a lot more console players, so it will be a better experience over all in those crossplay servers.
Not sure sticking with the legacy servers will be worth the experience, I don’t think the old pc players in the old servers will stick around in the long run. Better off joining the new community

There are SEVERAL servers in Australia. I've been playing on Aussie servers since OG launch. IN FACT, the servers are right here in Sydney, so I get GREAT ping! ~20ms
Easy. People who want to go to only-console servers are shit scared of getting stomped by more experienced pc players in pvp. It is the "instead of getting good, i prefer to stomp casuals" mentality, so they go and sweat in a server full of casuals. What is funny tho is that all those cauals-crafters will be in cross platform servers because their pve/crafting gameplay requires a solid playerbase to thrive.
It is hilarious that those people are trying to dodge the sweaty pvpers by joining console-only servers, only to be paired together inside those servers.

Personally being a new player on console i would like to be on a server with pc, Xbox, and ps5..not worried about playing sweaty pc players, it will only make me better. Besides on a fresh server everyone starts over that is fair enough for me. I am more of a PVE player (Tank) on any MMO I play, so I will only really touch pvp when I get bored sometimes
