Thank you for this guide. This is very informative. I finally made it to level 20 and got me a horse and I started doing a bit a crafting myself. Game is very good and Amazon did very well with it. Thank you again for this guide, dude!
@@Renfail Oh dude its so damn good! SO much to do as a single player and that's what I like. I like games that take time to beat. I don't want to finish a game after 10 hours or whatever. I like to live in these worlds. Starfield, Skyrim, Cyberpunk, Fallout 4. Might be adding WoW since I just found out from a comment on another one of your videos that you can play that game solo!
I started off as soldier and switching my weapons to flail and shield and life staff and now I can be a DPS, tank, or a healer and it is so fun being a front line healer
So I did the demo and loved it but said I wouldn’t buy it until a sale ! And fuk me sideways I bought it on Thursday and have only slept for 10 hours since ! Thanks for the positivity!
Just got the game for console, gonna dive in this weekend. I retired from ESO and subscription based games so this really caught my eye, I might dive into pvp at some point but Im excited to play it like an RPG.
Great vid. I'm coming back to NW after more than a year. This was a great refresher. I like playing thru the story and puttering around my house, lol, Appreciate you talking about the expeditions and speed runners. Glad I can avoid those. I like your calm/helpful style - thank you
something to consider is some weapons like the flail and greatsword have self healing in their respective weapon masteries. You can also look for weapons with traits like lifesteal or leech.
Another tip for end-game solo players. Farm any level of Mutated Starstone Barrow Expedition, not the normal low level one. The final boss can drop an Artifact Ring called Blooddrinker, it decreases your damage by 25%, but gives you 25% lifesteal, along with a boost to other lifesteal buffs on your gear. It makes any class capable of surviving solo-play style and makes it easier to fight 1v1 elite enemies. Obviously Expeditions are multiplayer dungeon, but it's worth doing it to get the ring to make soloing much more efficient.
Enjoyable guide thank you for this. I dig your vibe and feel I'm a very similar style of gamer as I have gotten older. Earned a sub and will check more of your content out for sure! Positive relaxing vibes win the day for me everytime 🤙
Thanks - im a solo player im also playing with the same weapons as you do the mosquetero weapons pretty cool, really hard to use the gun when you have mobs spamming around you in some bosses but hitting like a sniper is pretty cool. i have been playing this game for two days im so hook up! mostly following a spanish creator but he loves pvp and end game, i love crafting, hunting, player vs mob kind of thing
Great guide, one thing archetypes have an impact on are the cosmetic style it starts with as it adds the ones corresponding to the selected archetype into your styles dictionnary, and some quest rewards during MSQ that are tailored for your archetype, but don t worry about theses rewards, you ll find much better options with crafting, shopping or some bosses Regarding styles, no worries you can get them Just by creating a different character of a different archetype
I never thought about it, but now that you mention it, I kinda wish I'd kept my starter gear for Transmog since I started again with a new character on a new server when I returned at Aeternum. I love gathering in this game so I tend to gather tons of stuff as I travel and sell them when I get back to the town and use cash I make to get supplies that I'll need. I do intend to eventually level up my cooking etc, but for now I'm enjoying gathering/fishing etc as I go. I run Life Staff and Flail so I've barely used pots, although I like to have them on hand just incase.
All the gear that you find can be transmogrified with transmog tokens. The game automatically saves them for you so no fear in selling or destroying the gear. You’ll notice that you will sometimes get a notice when you find something new and it’s added to your wardrobe. It won’t be an option to transmog until you acquire a transmog token to unlock it. Everything that you unlock is accounted for wide. Unfortunately I’ve only gotten 2 transmog tokens for free while leveling so I unlocked a helm and a chest piece that I liked. I will have to purchase more tokens if I want more than that.
Your comment on groups running quickly through expeditions is valid for mutated expeditions as the "score" you earn is based primarily on time and boss kills. Regular expeditions are not scored are are more relaxed and a way to learn the instance.
Still leveling at the moment but I hate how colorful my character is. Like the armors don’t match up, I have a jesus looking robe with a metal helmet and purple gloves it’s so weird. When unlock transmog? I talk to the lady in settlements and it just says unavailable
Also what secondary would you recommend for a mostly solo healer? Even if I’m just healing myself in solo content that’s my fantasy but I want a great secondary and the void gauntlet seems a little underwhelming at the moment. But that might be due to hard spec’ing Focus for life staff damage
I have literally never been the type of person to care about or freak out about spoilers, but I've been reading all of the lore pages meticulously and I was really curious about this Isabella person I keep reading about. then you just casually blurt out that that's the final boss. Thanks bro
i have to say that after 1300 hours of gameplay i am quitting today. the main reason is because of the exploits, cheats, abuse of macros and inbalance in pvp. the current state is so bad that AGS has failed in all aspects to fix their game or give it the proper attention it deserves. The cheating is out of hand and to come across a fair fight just doesnt exist anymore. more and more people everyday are turning to using these mechanisms of exploitation. BAN THEM ALL!!!. sad to say but im moving on to another game.
60 points in condition wondering why you’re dying on Isabella?! Omg. Bro minimum 150 MINIMUM!!!! If you need help let me know could have had that fight done in 10 minutes not even.
**** WARNING **** No thank you for the spoil 😢💢 Did not have time to stop the video because... That's sad. Just a catastrophe for once was interested in story. Do not watch the video in you are still leveling up !
jesus christ had to stop watching, first 6 minutes spent waffling on about nothing when you can just say your starter selection mean nothing in the longterm its just a starter package, even the skills its easy to get to 50 dont spend too long picking and especially not to long explaining it ffs
Great video but as a video for new players ... please dont announce the name of the final boss without warning ... making me consider skipping it now as a result .. perhaps its obvious from the plot but all the same id rather play through the story than be told the ending before i start ...
Here's a guide for solo players " DONT PLAY" yea sure u can muddle through story solo but that's it you paid for a short story.. that ultimately leads to u getting to an end game where you will need groups... its not made for solos.... period.. so don't waste your money.. this should of been a free to play experience like throne n liberty...
@Renfail I'm at end game literally 90% of things to do now require min 5 players lol... with the exception of pvp u can do 3v3.. you get an artifact and your excitement is half crushed by fact there pretty average not that strong. Then rest is crushed when you realise to unlock the perks again they want you to team up because you have to go in lvl 70 5 player area.... lol...

Always love wandering around and exploring
Thank you for your thoughtful guides and your content. You've helped me learn the game as a shy, older, solo player.
You're welcome! I'm glad I could help :)
This was wonderful! Bought this as my Christmas gift to myself. Was so glad to find a solo guide. Thank you!

Any recommendations on playing like that, just started a character to run this build?

Yep, lifesteal FTW
About to pop back in on the Steam Deck, as have not played for a long time. Thanks for the guide REN :)

More of an advanced tip not a beginner's tip, but ok :) Thx
Can you enjoy this game if you don’t like crafting? Can you gear up through looting only?
yep
