Thank you for highlighting the fact that making affordable goods means that you have to make them in a way that makes the cost worth it. (Making them in bulk)
I just wanted to say that you inspired me to start leatherwork as a hobby after watchingyou for 2 years. I just received my weaver starter kit and plan on going to goodwill to buy leather for cheap and practice the fundamentals
I cut up an old black leather coat and handmade a wallet with a contrasting sinew. I even stitched personalized lettering on the outside front. I have bookbinding experience, but wanted to make the wallet as a gift.
You never let us down Eric! Thanks for all you do for this craft! You helped me turn this part time hobby into a part time side hustle just from watching all your content! Buckleguy is lucky to have you!
Always a treat to watch. Would love to see a “this is the world of leather” video from you. You spoke of the leather you used for the inside of the “$1000 wallet”. Would love a deep dive.
Brother you are definitely a fine leather worker imo. Thanks for the inspiration I started a week ago and already made a 1 of 1 buffalo card holder I can’t believe I made watching you and king and stock n barrel etc
You said that you aren't skilled to glue the pieces together and then place the holes. Can you elaborate on what you mean by that? Does gluing and them stamping the holes for your stitching lines pose certain potential problems?
I have a question for you. I recently got a job making leather products for a friend. He wants them in large amounts. Where do you get your clicker dies made. Please and thank you from the Canadian Rockies Brendan James McCreesh
