I was Security out side of the dressing room about 6 years ago at a Judas Priest concert, Testament was the opening band.... Got to meet all of them in person. To tell you the truth they put on a better show then Priest.

All genres of metal (thrash, speed,death,black,etc.) it doesnt matter, have the most loyal & genuine fans. about 5 years ago i left a Dying Fetus show covered in blood (some mine, some from others) & bruises as well. fuckin loved it. 2 years ago in the pit start to finish @ Ministry show. knocking guys half my age on their ass & the 1st person to grab their arm & help them back up. fuckin loved it. My Mom always thought I would outgrow Metal. Told me she accepted the fact more than 20 years ago that it wasnt gonna happen.

I have listened to a lot of live band videos here on UA-cam, but this one is one of the few that is near sonic perfection as in sound quality. I mean you can't get much better, hear, everybody, nothing drowning out the other, perfect equalization. They must have a fucking guru behind the mixing board. This is the way metal is supposed to sound, like a in your face, wall of sound, that rattles you senses and leaves you in AWE I have not seen these guys in concert. Somebody tell me-do they sound this good live?
+rbagel55 trust me this video was edited....I seen them 2 weeks ago with Carcass and Slayer and there sound was muddy as hell and couldnt understand a single thing he barley said and it was at the Polaris in Columbus Ohio and they have one of the best sound systems in the state...Carcass sounded like perfection and Slayer was very very nice....I was never a Testament fan but that alone pushed me further away from even trying to give them a chance again...But yeah this video like most other live videos that are turned into music videos are edited and spliced and pasted together so is the sound...read up on it. I seen countless other videos that sound like there off a cd when its a live video and was interested in that and yeah there all edited....Kinda like when you see bands on stage with a wall of Marshall amps lol....There all empty and they are usually running a half stack or combo in the back plugged up to the pa lol.
randy outlaw Well I can you (since I am an ex-nightclub musician myself) that you can have the best sound system in the world, BUT if you got somebody behind the mixing board who don't know what the fuck he is doing, then it will sound like shit anyway. Don't forget about acoustics in a concert hall. A poorly designed hall will sound like an echo chamber and sound muddy. A well designed hall will sound great.It is no secret that many rock bands for instance have recorded live albums at Buddakan in Tokyo Japan because of it's world reknown acoustics. Sound is a science,it truly is.

53 years young here. Reacquainted myself with Testament four years ago with the purchase of Dark Roots of Earth, and then from there the entire back catalog leading up to Brotherhood of the Snake. That this band has been together for almost 40 years, and still continue to make quality albums and tour is nothing short of amazing. These guys are the real deal. God bless em'. Testament was never as big as the big four. But for us true metal fans they will always be 1 of the greats.
If you ever wonder why foriegn governments are afraid of fighting with the USA in any direct confrontation - chances are that when they saw this video - they realize what Americans are like when they are inspired by the wrath of God. Hats off to Testament for giving us what I consider to be a divine flavor of righteous indignation - and that lead guitar player - well he kicks ass almost every second - which is more than I can say for some of the greatest of classical composers! Amazing 100 percent inspired and sincere REAL HEAVY METAL! Most people do not realize the faith and virtue required to form a band like this and work hard in the beginning - and more than hard work is required - like innovation - inspiration - intelligence - patience - and talent - with the ability to work with others and be able to tolerate their differences - and then prevail (and show more spiritual conviction in what they do than most religious groups) with the victory of a finished product (and in the beginning - no certainty of being paid) - and this type of continuity of purpose and endurance seperates the men from the boys. Teatament has truly made their mark and understand that it is better to be a fantastic original than a poor copy. These guys are most definitely leaders and not followers - and there is no question of that. Well done! Also for guitar players the lead player really has technical insight into how to get great sound beyond the company that makes his amplifer (which was discountinued because other players were not as technically skilled to make the right settings) and the people at a famous music store chain tried to explain that nobody could get good sound out of the amp - and the lead guitar player of Testament just blew their minds after adjusting the settings. Obviously this band has seriously gifted people!
I saw testament live at tuska last summer. Holy fuck, i hadn't even listened to them much before it, and it still was one of the best perfomances in the whole festival, those guys sure know how to play live.

If you ever wonder why foriegn governments are afraid of fighting with the USA in any direct confrontation - chances are that when they saw this video - they realize what Americans are like when they are inspired by the wrath of God. Hats off to Testament for giving us what I consider to be a divine flavor of righteous indignation - and that lead guitar player - well he kicks ass almost every second - which is more than I can say for some of the greatest of classical composers! Amazing 100 percent inspired and sincere REAL HEAVY METAL! Most people do not realize the faith and virtue required to form a band like this and work hard in the beginning - and more than hard work is required - like innovation - inspiration - intelligence - patience - and talent - with the ability to work with others and be able to tolerate their differences - and then prevail (and show more spiritual conviction in what they do than most religious groups) with the victory of a finished product (and in the beginning - no certainty of being paid) - and this type of continuity of purpose and endurance seperates the men from the boys. Teatament has truly made their mark and understand that it is better to be a fantastic original than a poor copy. These guys are most definitely leaders and not followers - and there is no question of that. Well done! Also for guitar players the lead player really has technical insight into how to get great sound beyond the company that makes his amplifer (which was discountinued because other players were not as technically skilled to make the right settings) and the people at a famous music store chain tried to explain that nobody could get good sound out of the amp - and the lead guitar player of Testament just blew their minds after adjusting the settings. Obviously this band has seriously gifted people!

I saw testament live at tuska last summer. Holy fuck, i hadn't even listened to them much before it, and it still was one of the best perfomances in the whole festival, those guys sure know how to play live.
