I love organising my skin care and makeup products when I go away, I organise what I'm taking put products in to travel size very handy, foundation, eye shadow ( I basically only take one nude shade ) unless I find like L'Oreal nudes palette, bronzer, a mini size blush, mascara and a nude and light pink lip liner and a Clarins lip balm with rose wax. Just beautiful!!!!!!
I just came back from NYC and going to San Francisco next weekend. I'm using the same makeup bag from Merit! I'm taking my Tom Ford stick concealer to use for strategic concealing, it's all I need for my skin. I love traveling but I started feeling guilty for all the CO2 emissions from flying. I'm done with flying this year after these trips!
Organized packing is the way to go. I’ve perfected my system over the years. I have lists on my phone of everything I bring on every trip (passport, wallet, skincare etc) which I tick off as I pack. That way I know I’ve packed everything and I don’t need to think about it every time I travel. For clothes and shoes which change from trip to trip, in the evenings before I travel I’ll work on my trip wardrobe, listing outfits etc. I just do it in front of the TV at night and it’s a fun process. That way I know I have outfits for each occasion. People think I’m a weirdo too, but I never forget anything and I’m never packing in a panic at 3am etc. I’m looking forward to trying the Merit shadows. I also love to multitask a cool brown cream eyeshadow as a contour product. My MAC Groundwork is almost finished so I’ll be in the market for something new. Hope you had great trips!
@@ttsandracompletely agree! One thing I’ve started doing after traveling all summer is noting on my packing list in which packing cube an item can be found. makes it so much easier when I’m frazzled and confronted with all my luggage.
We are skin twins, so it is so wonderful to see that so many of your products are the same as mine - It makes me feel like I’m on the right track! I wish Merit would come out with shade extensions for the Minimalist stick because, like you, I am in between Linen and Bisque. I’d just rather not have to buy two shades because that isn’t very… um, minimalist. Love your content and hope you have amazing trips!
my go to for travel to minimise liquids is using concealer as foundation, i just sheer it out with a beautyblender and it works pretty well. travel size skincare bottles from muji and little perfume samplers are a life saver as well. my biggest struggle is definitely paring down my shoe selection 😅
Love Toronto! When you get back, if you can work it in, let us know where you shopped and ate: my favorite hobbies. Wish I could be a minimalist. For me, packing is the worst part of travel.
my fav shopping was all consignment shops!! love checking out VSP, I Miss You Vintage, Fashionably Yours and Mine & Yours whenever I’m in Toronto ❤️ for food, brunch at the Ace Hotel was yummy and the space is gorgeous, also loved the brunch at Peter Pan Bistro. Sunset drinks and appetizers at the Writers Room (amazing views), Bar Isabel is always a good time (tapas bar) Aloette was my favorite dinner of this trip :) Sugo if you have time to wait for a table!
Hi Sandra good to see you. I just came back from a 5 day trip to Chicago. Destination wedding at the Cafe Bauer at the Lincoln Park Zoo. We stayed a few extra days to explore the city which was really nice. We also did only carry-on and I always have the most trouble paring down makeup and skincare, but luckily I have lots of minis I've accumulated. I'm going to be buying the Vanchetta color in the eyeshadow. I'm looking for a stick foundation and I'm considering the Merit or the new Fenty one. I have to go into Sephora and see what feels best. Enjoy your trips and be safe.
Unfortunately Merit isn’t available in Australia and the brand doesn’t ship here. Fingers crossed that changes because I’d love to try it. 🤞🏻I love packing videos. 💗
Do you think I could use a Beautyblender to blend the stick foundation? I like the idea of a stick since I also want to save liquid space for skin care. Thank you for the video. Very timely since I’ve got several work trips coming up.
Depends on the stick foundation!! when I had the Tom Ford stick foundation it was a more emollient dewy formula so it had enough moisture in it to look really nice blended out with a beauty blender. The Merit stick foundation is slightly drier/more velvety formula so it benefits from the heat of your fingers and a buffing brush to work it into the skin nicely. the beauty blender doesn’t really spread it out as well IMO
So I know you try not to buy tooooo many foundations but I’m really curious about a review on the new Youthforia foundation at ulta. It looks so interesting!
@@ttsandra same. I had to blind buy but the shades seem forgiving. I was between 230 and 245. We generally use similar shades from what I’ve noticed. I tend to go lighter so I went went 230. But maybe 245 would work for you? I’m always excited to try a foundation that claims to actually help my skin.
Have a great time in Romania. I have been there for two weeks hiking holidays. What an amazing and bautiful country. Delicious food- I am still thinking about Papanași😁. And I am not a person that consumes milk, cream or any dairy products - made an exception for these amazing dessert😋. 😘
Wow, this is really helpful to see! Packing always stresses me out, but you have a very calm and organized approach.
Travel makeup bags are my fave ♥️ Have an amazing trip!
I’m always curious and love seeing what people are packing!!
Loved this Sandra! Our makeup bags are completely matching at the moment with lots of MERIT goodies. I'm obsessed with Fox and Social 😍👏 x
So so good!! always love getting a peek inside your makeup bag too 👀👀

It’s sooo satisfying to have everything ready to go and organized before a trip, and to know that you’ve got all you need, and where to find it 👌🏼👌🏼

Yay! Thank you!
Great video as always! I will definitely be picking up one or two of those Merit cream eyeshadows!

Love these tips! Concealer as a base is so great too
I get studio and social confused all the time too! You said social but had studio on the screen. I believe the mauve one (my fav) is social.
The names really mess me up LOL I don’t own studio so it’s def SOCIAL 😂

I wish Merit would be available in Germany 🇩🇪, all things used look so amazing 🎉
I hope they will be available too!!
What moisturizer is best used under the GA Luminous Silk? Is this foundation water, silicon or oil based? Thanks!
It’s a water silicone mix, so most oil free gel moisturizers work well underneath. I also really enjoyed the GA luminous silk primer with it too

Your nails look great!
Yay thank you!! OPI repair mode and Nail Envy did most of the heavy lifting 😄😄
What bk beauty are you using to apply the merit flush balm here? And whats your nail polish? :P
The BK beauty 107 brush and nail color is Poppy Red by Manucurist

I keep seeing ads for it too and it looks really nice!! I wish my local ulta sold it so I could check out the shades in person 🥲🥲🥲

Just found you; do you have a packing video for travel over 2 months, looking for skincare packing videos( over 2 months)🇨🇦
Hi! I don’t! I’ve never taken a trip that long. Will you be in one place or will you be traveling to lots of different destinations?
