Zero is a massive man child who says his outbursts of him not being able to control himself and being borderline abusive towards his teammates is passion. That being said the game is dying due to terrible balancing. Newcastle is the most unhealthy and broken character this game has ever seen.
zero's mental has just completely spiraled. he desperately needs a reset. not just about gaming, he's gotta get out of that mindset before it consumes his life
i honestly hate respawns approach to balancing and meta. you dont have to immediately put a new character in the spotlight by releasing them broken. its so ass having to deal with broken legends / weapons for an entire season in order for them to tune it. meta shifts should be slow as devin said it takes a series of buffs to bring them into relevancy it should be gradual its less frustrating to play against
So you kinda have to not look at it from your own experience. He provided an example in Rampart; basically no matter how much she's buffed, she'll never really be a picked legend because when she was new, she was underwhelming. Many games follow the practice of releasing a character strong and then nerfing them, so people will want to try them out, and will continue to play them after nerfs (wraith for example.) I think the problem, like you said, is that respawn is VERY slow with updates, so you end up stuck with a broken legend/gun for like 2 months. It probably wouldn't feel as bad if they patched this kind of change after like 2 weeks, as opposed to 2 months.
@ but it’s not just my own experience. Some people just enjoy playing the legend they want to play but because there’s such a drastic shift in power you’re throwing the game because you don’t pick new powerful /reworked legend. Especially in a competitive setting. The only reason a new character needs to be in the spotlight is for marketing and monetization it doesn’t create a better experience for the player. And tbf I’m not an advocate for doing it in other games either (like brig in overwatch). The character is still in the game the character can still be played. If you want them to be meta it doesn’t have to be upon their release it can be gradual. It gives players time to adapt.
@@hanhdrew I don't doubt a lot of people agree with you, but numbers often show the people online echoing the same opinion are a small minority of the overall fanbase. As you said, a big reason this would happen is for marketing/monetization purposes, but also to shake up the meta. If they didn't do these kinds of releases, people would just keep running wraith/octane/pathfinder with r9/pk or wing/pk. Apex numbers have been on the decline for some time, they have to try things to see if they can revive numbers. It's normal, but you view the game as something enjoyable that probably helps you relax, but if a game does not generate money, it cannot continue to be the live service product that we want. Obviously nothing against you, but the info is given to you that when they release underwhelming legends, they end up being underplayed, and then what constitutes them having a budget for devs to create new legends? We often don't think beyond our own desires, but there's a whole network behind the scenes that we don't see.
@@auronhale1404 you know what you bring up a very fair point and even if I don’t necessarily agree with said practices you’re absolutely correct. Longevity is essential for a live service game and we really know nothing about the ecosystem that goes on behind the scenes. But in my opinion it’s also bare minimum effort and budget to nerf metas based on lowering values. There’s other ways to market your game, legends, and seasons while respecting player experience. From lore, trailers, collaborations, and creative game modes and I understand it takes resources but it’s about making the right investments. Either way this game has been on a downward trend and they’ve included these practices for really the entire lifespan of the game something has to change

It doesn't matter who says it. The game is shit now.

To be fair, this meta is absolutely horrendous
Think the devs forgot this game was meant to be high paced shooter not sitting in bubbles and behind shields ability legends
algs is always going to be slower paced so when they make the meta slow it compounds and makes the pro scene terrible to watch

Launch Seer would like to disagree
Reminds me of when everyone was shitting on Hal for raging at teammates
I like this meta. Pro players piss and moan all the time. Look at TSM, they thriving. Maybe its just a mentality and approach issue than a meta issue.
Yeah exactly Zer0 not winning meta is brandead everytime
yea game is insanely brain dead, u can knock 10 players and get only 1 kill at the end
It’s all subjective!
Respawn will just add a new knocked badge 🤣🤣🤣
Everyone is playing the same game.
Its subjective
Every single meta in Apex has always been hated🙄
