I have seen similar interiors on other cars and they do actually look beautiful when you see them in the real. The video probably does not do them justice.

Sorry did you say that there was no equivalent of the GTS in the 996 generation? That is wrong, there was the fantastic 40th anniversary 996 (aside from the GT2/3 cars)... ou should try it.
+Photoandcargeek The 996 Anniversary is nowhere near the same philosophy as Porsche's Carrera GTS range (which didn't exist at the time). The same with the GT3 - as great as it was. There's a reason Porsche has revived the GTS as it fills a gap in the 911 range nicely.
+Josh Barnett really! 40th anniversary has lowered sports suspensions, sport mapping of the throttle, more powerful engine and was faster than the 997 Carerra S mark 1 which is the case for all the GTS cars since then .... in what way is that different from the GTS philosophy?
No, Josh said "before the 997 there wasn't a basic yet enthralling 911 available". The 40 Jahre 911 was hardly basic, so your argument is thereby nullified.
I know the demand for objectivity isn't that high in Auto journalism, but this one really felt like an ad. Are there any ties between Total 911 Magazine and RPM?

They are probably amazing to drive. The 911 is a great car to start with any modification on top of that by an experience team will produce an even better car.
It would be very hard to be objective if you have come across an amazing car.
Be realistic. If a tiny publication like total 911 went around talking negatively about the small circle of Porsche specialists then they really wouldn’t last very long...

I would say if the vehicle was crap they would just say it is but it is a 911 that has been tweaked which means it will be special.
Many 911 specialists create amazing modification because they are building on top of a great platform to begin with.

Never been a GTS or CSR just tacky “Package” all round and extortionate price.
The ultimate 996 would be a Turbo Tiptronic 5G as a Grand tourer or the GT2 as a sports car.
