We’re gonna do another show soon like this in December in the Asheville area if anyone wants to come!
Clay will you tell us about the guitar you played in this video ? Thanks!!
@@BlueBanjoGrass it was made by a guy named Clark Damron. I played it for 10 years got a divorce abs sold it to settle with my ex. Rhonda Vincent owns it now and I’ve begged her to buy it back but to no avail.
Are you going to play the west coast anytime soon?
Do we have any more info on this show? I’m down in Wilmington and would love to make the trip with my kids.
Rest easy Jason…he was such an amazing bassist and influence on so many
Steffey has so much touch. Really gets the most out of each note.
Man thank you for editing this show! Was the greatest musical experience of my life back then!
clay jones You are Right!
clay jones what kind of ax are you playing here?
clay jones is incredible !
This show is going on my "if I ever invent a time machine" list. Ya'll simply slayed that song, Darrol himself would have been thunderstruck, haha. Never thought I'd heard Ride the Wild Turkey played with a fervor and a technical stridency like that.
Then again, I had no idea bluegrass was capable of until I heard Jim play fiddle for the first time. Was transiting the Blue Ridge and opted for an unfamiliar radio station. Couldn't get enough, changed my life. Bless you all.
Clay what guitar are you picking in this video?
Saw Ron Stewart play live over the weekend....man can he pick something fierce
One of the greatest 15 minutes of my musical life. Every part is another masterpiece
Ron Stewart!.. Has that punch. His phasing of his of simple Scruggs licks that make his playing so beautiful and rhythmic
So much talent..wow, cant get enough of this
DUDE!!! This is some of the BEST Bluegrass I’ve ever heard! AWESOME JOB Gentlemen!!!
WOW!! REAL Music! I NEED more, more, more!!
Adam Steffey- Mandolin
Ron Stewart- Banjo
Clay Jones- Lead guitar
Jim Van Cleve- Fiddle
Steve Gulley- Guitar, tenor vocals
Jason Moore- Bass
Ronnie Bowman- Guitar, lead vocals (song #2)
Ron Stewart had his best banjo tone at that time! Awesome sound!
One of the best blue grass performance, love this 👍💕
Jimmy played my fiddle once in Walhalla sc. That made my day. Good pickers always inspire others as he did me. Good luck Jim.
Great video!!!! Thanks for posting.
You sound fabulous together, nice job
Outstanding guys!
This vid blew my mind! Crazy good people 😵
This is Outrageous Fire
Looks like Mountain Heart of the time with Ron Stewart instead of Barry Abernathy on banjo. Possibly the same configuration that appeared on Van Cleve's solo album.
Incredible ❤
This is just outrageous. Seriously.
Wow! Thanks.
Beautiful Thank You 🙏❤️😂
Some super pickers right there!
Is there any more footage/audio of this set? I have to guess it was more than 5 songs long, and I would pay good money to hear the rest. This is the ultimate modern supergroup.
Wow!!!
Utter mad lads
That Scotty Stoneman hot lick on that fiddle made my day! Thanks for that Jim.

@@apostasiaelegcho5612 seriously? I checked the website.
@@mattross6902 Might have to send them an email. They're the ones the produced it. It's been quite awhile ago.
Nobody plays Little Liza Jane better than Adam Steffy
Nobody plays mandolin better than Adam, at least no one I've ever heard.
What is name of that second song ?? It sounds so familiar but I can't remember
Man I am Trying to Be
It's called "Love For an Angel". Ronnie Bowman (lead vocals, guitar) recorded it on his album "The Man I am Trying to Be".
Tightest grass ever
What’s the name of the second song?
What tune is this again? Been meaning to learn this one
Jan Purat What do you mean “what tune”? There are a lot of tunes in this clip...
That song Ronnie bowman sang about that woman that was not in love with him, that's my theme song and it Can make you insane! I don't like small spaces so I divorced her.
Shitchyea
Don't try this at home!
Lovely playing pity about wrecked Gibson 4 string banjo. I play both 4 and 5 string banjo and neither is superior .4 string banjoists are sometimes more interesting, Its just fashion again , Many guitars were ruined in transitional periods from baroque 12 string to the 6 string for fashion sake .Many beautiful guitars were lost to us for greed sake by dealers who overcharge for converted Gibson banjos. Gibson no longer make so these are lost forever.
