Founded in 2010, New York Classical Players (NYCP) is an ensemble dedicated to the highest standards of artistry, collaboration, and virtuosity. A very cool modern take on the Baroque concerto grosso. Too bad Adler didn't develop it into a three movement work. It's too short!
It is more than just a take of the Baroque concerto. All the thematic material Adler uses in this composition is by Bach himself, his “Goldberg Canons”. Adler combines, extends and developes - and creates a stunning little composition, bravo!
