He is the sixth of seven children of Vicente Calacas Valenciano, a Bicolano from Camalig, Albay Philippines and Grimilda Santiago y Olmo from Arecibo, Puerto Rico. His parents met in New York City, married, and settled in Manila. I think Gary V. was the one who either originally composed the Could you be Messiah or the one who arranged Morissette's Could you be Messiah. I'm not really sure, but he's involved in that song.
Could you be Messiah was written by Direk Freddie Santos for a play. He asked Gary to do the arrangement/melody for it. When the play did not push thru, it became one of Gary’s single. Morissette asked Gary’s permission to revive his song which Gary was more than happy to give permission to. He made the arrangement for Morissette’s version of this song.

@@chuckypullon1389 the play pushed through a number of times at the Rizal Theater, Music Museum. Etc. Freddie Santos wrote the play and the original play in 1988 had several music arrangers. Gary did 6 or 7 songs. Tats Faustino arranged and put music to one song. Bob Serrano composed one or two of the songs which Gary arranged like the title song First Name. Ogie Alcasid put music to Woman with No Name which Gary also arranged. Gary put music to Could You Messiah, the opening song What’s in a Name, My Daughter Eve. Trumpets and Stages together with Genesis our company wanted to give Freddie a Tribute before he passed away in December 2020. So Gary produced Morissette’s song. Told her not to belt too much but to feel the song. She is an amazing vocalist. (This is Gary’s wife.)

One of my favourite things to find and enjoy is music that gives me chills and goosebumps. I was cruising UA-cam recently and discovered a Russian talent show contestant that did just that, with one of the best, most unique voices I've heard in many years. Her delivery was nothing short of magical and I searched out more and more and more, and...more chills.
I was stunned to find that the first performance I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 18 (31 may) and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English and Arabic.
