The Singer is a Chinese contest tv program. They probably translated it for her and every contestant is actually given a partner who is Chinese. KZ's partner happens to be a singer and musician himself and he helped her out on some of the performances. In fact her comeback performance, she sang "Anak" with him playing the guitar.
She did that in 3 different language Chinese,Tagalog, English, she is not a Chinese, English language is our 2nd tongue sp to speak, but then she sang that in her own way, KZ is a unique singer here in the Philippines one of a lot of singers that had a gifted voice❤

She sang most of the lines in Mandarin/Chinese (I know Mandarin is just one of the languages of Chinese. But not sure if that really was Mandarin. One thing is sure, that is Chinese's language.) Yes, Filipinos are good in translating English songs to Tagalog and still able to fit them within the same bar, melody, without compromising the meaning of the song. 😁😆

Lyrics are written specifically for a particular music and language. When translated into another language, most of the time, it is made to rhyme. The exact meaning, essence or beauty of the song is kinda lost in translation.
